Check-out was efficient, but perhaps a bit cold, would have been nice to carry my bag down the stairs (my own fault though, post-marathon legs).
Being really really picky, I would have liked an English or German newspaper, but they did have the quality Italian ones (24 ore, corriere d.s.)
Great service: I really love hotels that give you a little chocolate at turn-down, with a weather report card for the next day. I could buy my own chocolate, and look up the weather, but I like the attention to detail, the feeling of luxury even though it's such a simple thing. Chambermaid even puts slippers out next to the bed in the evening.
I had requested oats or rice for breakfast when I booked, because I was running the marathon, and at check-in they were very thorough in making sure I would get what I needed. Breakfast was good, enough choice for everyone, and some nice cake - included in room price, so there was no smoked salmon or omelette chef, but you can order that if required. Good coffee.
Very importantly for me, free and working wifi.
A real four-star hotel.
