|Boasting a large terrace with al-fresco dining area, Attico in Centro is a 90-m² apartment in Genova. It is just 600 metres from the Carlo Felice Theatre and De Ferrari Metro Station.||
Nuovo Nord is an affordable hotel enjoying a wonderfully central location in historic central Genoa. Set 165 ft from the train station, everything is just walking distance away.
Score from 896 reviews Very good
Offering modern air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi, Hotel Nologo is ideally located in the centre of Genova, a 15-minute walk from Palazzo Ducale and Genoa Aquarium.
Score from 1169 reviews Very good
Next to Darsena Metro Station, the Hotel Helvetia is a 5-minute walk from the Porto Antico area, which includes the waterfront and Aquarium.
Score from 454 reviews Good
location is good - very close to the train station - less than 5 mins walk. plus plenty of shops and laundry facilities near by. breakfast is large and filling ( traditional italian style breakfast) big room. the ensuite was ok and the bedroom was big.
someone opened hotel room at 1030 at night - we were sleeping inside. apparently one of the hotel employees wanted to check the heating ( at 1030 pm??) we yelled out and the person ran away. When we went to check with the reception we were told that the person had knocked a few times. this happened on the first night and after that barricaded the door with furniture to give us some time. you can make up your own mind about this event - we found it rather disturbing.
not much what i liked, internet was just ok.
first time we get downgraded (from 2 bedroom apartment to family room which is 10sqm smaller and with no kitchenette and fridge... breakfast very poor... suggested restaurant opposite street was with very bad kitchen... in general super noisy hotel... usually i do not much complain, but this time it was bad experience.
Limited Wi-Fi breakfast depleted before 9 parking nearby 20 euro per night
The only good thing about our stay was the location of the hotel (right in front of the train station).
The hotel is very very poor. I was expecting some kind of 19th century decorations according to the description but it was just ugly, unfortunately. The room was very poor, there was almost no water in the shower and it was always dead cold, I was not able to take a shower. Cover on the bed better not be touched - weird white stains and holes all over it. When I informed about all this the reception person she seemed not surprised and explained it happens here all the time. Wifi was very bad, almost not working. We booked "double room" but got two small beds merged together so while sleeping and trying to hug my husband I was always falling down in the middle hole. The breakfast was usual, coffee just plain disgusting. I was hoping to save a bit of money by staying at "middle class hotel" but it just doesn't exist in Italy, either it's 4-5 stars either it's an ugly B&B suitable only for lovers who needs a room for one night affair. I won't come back here, prefer to spend more for a better place.
good breakfast, staff was helpfull, Piazza Principe Station is just two steps..
breakfast room was tiny, a bit old fashioned but worth for price.
Near to main station and shops. Easily make your money back from quite decent breakfast spread if you get it included in price, Tv and sink with free wifi in an average size room. Genoa itself is more laid than rome, and less hectic than venice, with a smaller metro system, and even a beach and gardens in arenzano (30 mins train ride away, cheap rail fares, perfect for small children with places to eat). Genoa 'small town' is more interesting than port itself, and tourism has the potential to explode in genoa in the future thanks to a certain budget airline. 'Via roma' high street is where the top end stores are. The best view however isn't the sea or port but the breathtaking medieval (I think) architecture of genoa itself. Find a good spot, sit down and look at the beautiful city.
Shared bathroom could be annoying in summer. Genoa airport is not connected to the metro!!! (sort it out genoa) and the nearest train station for genoa is 'sestri' which takes about 20 mins walk through an industrial area, or you can take taxi into town.
Very nice place, perfect location, large family room, nice breakfest and very helpfull and nice staff
Only a 5-minute walk from the train station. Room was very clean and comfortable, with a good breakfast buffet in the morning.
I arrived in the dark, and security to get into the hotel is quite tight. I have not experienced this before; it may or may not be common practice in older hotels in the centre of Italian cities. But, once you get behind all the security doors, there is a lovely, gracious, old hotel there.
Close to major road so even on fourth floor a lot f traffic noise.
Noisy room (next to lobby), bed bugs, old blankets, poor wi-fi signal (good thing the bar below has strong signal)
Very close to the train station. Lively neighbourhood with plenty of restaurants. Close to Aquarium (although one has to pay attention to the alley it takes to get down to sea level). Quiet. Big ben, good mattress and pillows.
No free electric outlet for recharging.
Breakfast inedible, room grubby, crumbling non-functioning shower. Street noise and lights outside preventing sleep. More expensive than expected when booked.
The location, very central. Large rooms, high ceilings, excellent wifi.
Breakfast is poor, and parking on the street is really not safe at all.
Good Location near Genoa Piazza Principle railway station, Friendly staff, good Wifi.
The "death trap" shower, 500mm above the bathroom floor with a broken stool. Non working bar fridge in spite of their claims. Room was not locked by the staff on our last full day, although nothing was missing. Limited breakfast no ham or eggs on our last morning, "Finito" according to staff.
The staff were excellent very helpful even under the bad weather condition.Breakfast could not have been better.Beds clean and very comfortable.
Location is excellent and within walking distance from the train station. excellent breakfast friendly and helpful staff
Good Value Helpful Staff
Good value for money, good location, good breakfasts.
Closeness to rail station
Shared bathroom. No wi fi in bedroom. Breakfast below average. Girl on reception at checkout incompetent
Close to the train station!
To noise from the street!
The location is good - absolutely nothing else!!!
This hotel is one of the worst dives ever, it is very much over priced andtruly uncomfortable. My bathroom was dow right dangerous-you could break your neck just stepping in and out of the shower stall. Aside from all that, the noise level from the street and the next room, made rest impossible. In short - do not go there.
Bed bugs I returned home and my face and body were covered. I called on Wed night and left a message with the hotel. no answer. I wrote them. No answer. Today, Friday, I called 4 times and was told to call the manager at 2. I called. She told me she would call back in 10 minutes. She did not. I called 4 times more.No answer. I continue the pursuit of what is fair. I fear others will get this problem.
Price is not appropriate with quality of hotel.
location near train station
Breakfast very poor quality - didn't eat or drink anything. Room was filled with tobacco smoke on arrival and continued to smell so we didn't unpack. the shower did not function properly.
Closeness to train and walking distance to cafes, shops and harbour
Noise from the street and neighbouring buildings.
