Very good,
Score from 40 reviews
In the historic village of Vezzano Ligure, Hotel Al Convento, offers an on-site restaurant and private grounds. The Cinque Terre National Park is just 16 miles away. This restored building is a former convent of S.Maria Assunta Church and many of the original features remain. Each spacious room is individually decorated and has air conditioning and a TV. Some have views out over this quiet, traditional Italian town. Locanda del Viandante is right next door and serves traditional Italian cuisine and homemade desserts. There is also a wide selection of local wines. Hotel Rooms: 18

Reception was good and both the room and the bathroom were big. Breakfast was excellent with a home touch.

This hotel is the perfect choice for travelers who want to explore Cinque Terre but not stay in one of the five busy and expensive cities. The rooms are decorated simply but with charm, and the air conditioning actually works (you don't always get that in Europe). It is quiet and peaceful with beautiful views, and there is convenient train access to the coast. The restaurant and its garden were wonderful and the staff were lovely. I highly recommend it.

The hotel's location in a small hilltop Italian town / village was very picturesque, charming and non-touristy. The food quality at the adjoining restaurant was excellent.

Also, alles bestens und empfehlenswert!

The hotel has character and charm, and also up-to-date conveniences--comfy bed, nice bath. The location is lovely--decidely untouristy, and an excellent place from which to explore the Cinque Terre. The staff was most helpful to us as we tried to make arrangements to meet Italian relatives living in a nearby town. Breakfast is lovely, and the downstairs restaurant, excellent. We had only 2 nights a Al Convento, but I wish we had more!

Felt like living in a little Italian town away from all the tourists. Just as good as the Cinque Terre villages. We really loved the mountain views, birds singing and the church bells ringing. The restaruant underneath had good food and there was a little bar just up the road. We had a little trouble finding the hotel along the narrow roads but it was well worth the trip
