Just 165 ft from Saint Mark's Square and a 10-minute walk from Rialto Bridge, Dimora Marciana features elegant accommodations with a traditional Venetian feel.
Score from 123 reviews Very good
Hotel Violino d'Oro is an 18th-century building with traditionally decorated rooms, overlooking the San Moisè Canal. Saint Mark’s Square is less than a 5 minute walk away.

Hotel Al Codega is set in a quiet courtyard, just 5 minutes' walk from St Mark's Square and the Ducal Palace. Rooms are air conditioned and have flat-screen TVs.
Score from 739 reviews Wonderful
Lovely but small room very close to St Mark's Square. The staff were very kind and helpful. They seemed to get along very well and helped one another. The breakfast was excellent. The bathroom was cozy but had everything! Would surely stay at this hotel again.
WiFi wasn't reliable.
The location was perfect and the little room was tasteful with a beautiful marble bathroom. Very reasonably priced and excellent value for money.
It would have been nice to have coffee/tea facilities in the room.
The staff were very friendly and spoke English fluently, they helped us make payment when our credit card had broken. The breakfast was a nice surprise with a wide variety of savoury (bacon & eggs) and toast, pastry's and coffee etc. The location is close to many shops and restaurants
The room was fairly small with not much space between the toilet and shower. The noise outside was pretty loud at night with people talking down the alleyway beside the hotel
Breakfast was of excellent quality -fresh fruit, yoghurt seeds and nuts - a cooked selection as well as cold meats and pastries - if you can stand the pace there was even prossecco for a Buck's Fizz ( I resisted) .. Friendly helpful staff and the location perfect but still peaceful - can't wait to go back
The location was great. 1-2 minutes walking to San Marco. The room was clean and sophisticated. Services (wifi, breakfast) were great and staff available 24hours.
Everything was great
Firstly, do not be turned off by the pictures and the location. This hotel is actually in one of the best spots because it is close to San Marco and just a little off the main street that it is secluded. The room was great and to be honest I would stay in this hotel again! I loved the bathrooms, bed, and the small lobby. The breakfast was an amazing European spread.
If you are looking to be pampered by the staff, book with their sister hotel Violino d' Oro (this is the main hotel where you go for breakfast) right behind Anastasia; otherwise, if you are independent and will speak up when you need something Anastasia is perfect.
The hotel Anastasia was really good. The location is perfect. It is just a few minutes walking distance to San Marco and also the transportation from/to the airport (through Piazzale Roma) is easy which is important in Venice where it is difficult to walk with baggages. The breakfast is served in another hotel which is next to the hotel and it is ok. The personnel is kind. The room in which we have stayed was really small but it was ok. The hotel has an elevator and free wifi. The price of the hotel is really good considering the high hotel prices in central Venice. We will definitely stay again in this hotel.
The bed in our room was unfortunately uncomfortable. Except this, everything was ok or even perfect.
Easy to vaporetto and water line to airport. Very near San Marco, Academia. Quiet but not remote. Great value
No downside considering the price.
Location was good. Lovely breakfast.
The room was too hot. Asked to have heating turned off but there must have been something wrong with their computer monitoring/regulating system. Was told our room was 17 deg C but felt like 27 deg C.
Outstanding room, staff, breakfast, Position
Close to tourist spots and water Bus. Special offers for guests.
Just round the corner from St Marks sq. this place is great value for money (still expensive but hey everywhere in Venice is)! The staff are friendly and accomodating. The room was a little compact but still a decent size and very clean and quiet. The best part of our stay was the breakfast, so make sure to get involved! The selection and quality was the best we'd ever experienced and the coffee was outstanding. Highly recommend this place!
I can't really fault it!
The cleanliness, staff and the breakfast catered for all fussy eaters...
I cannot fault anything...
Sensational location in quiet courtyard only 5 minutes walk to Piazza San Marco and Vaporetto station on Main Line on the Grand Canal. Breakfast was also excellent and the staff at the hotel were happy to provide any info re Venice
Location, breakfast, attractive room fittings & soft lighting. Bed small but comfortable. Staff were wonderful.
Small room with no outlook
Location and breakfast. The rooms were nicely furnished. The staff was very nice and helpful.
The first room we were given was exceptionally small, even for Europen standards; the room that we were changed to, was bigger and very adequate.
Location was superb, but it's Venice so that could be said of most hotels to be honest! Wifi was good, rooms were clean.
The Anastasia is the 'poor relation' to the hotel Violino next door. Breakfast is served in there and the bar is also in there (although it closes at 9pm). We were on the 4th floor and it is was unseasonably warm our room was extremely hot. We mentioned this at the Violino reception and were only told that it was not possible to have air con, why didn't we turn the heating off? Obviously we had done that already. As our room was so hot we had to sleep with the windows open and were eaten alive by Mosquitos. No attempt was made to make our stay any more comfortable eg: fan, change of room to a lower floor. Mentioned to reception again upon departure and we were told that "Europe is cold in the winter"! A fact if which we are well aware as we live in the north of England! In summary, this hotel is far too expensive for the quality of service, decor and dining arrangements provided. There are many many more hotels for around the same price in an equally fantastic location which can provide the quality of service one expects when paying a large amount of money for three nights accommodation.
Buffet breakfast was ok.
Rooms are very small. Not good for double occupancy. Reception and breakfast is in another hotel.
Very comfortable, cozy, quiet room with excellent location. Good sized bathroom and excellent breakfast next door.
The location. The breakfast Everything.
Great location. Good breakfast. Good service.
The hotel sign is small so it was hard to find. Expensive and not 3* standard but this is common for all hotels in Venice.
Situated in a quiet courtyard yet only a few minutes walk from San Marco Square. Very good buffet breakfast included. Lots of hot water. Staff very helpful and friendly. Would stay here again.
The room was clean, comfortable, and large windows opened up to see over a small square. Very romantic and a canal with gondolas was steps away.
The hotel was hidden away in back of a main street. There were no staff at the Anatasia. They were in another hotel on the front side. Very confusing.
Conveniently located in area behind St Marks Square. Very good breakfast. Reasonably priced for Venice.
It took us an hour to locate property. It is rather out of the way and an accurate map showing the shortest route when dragging luggage would be a plus.
Location.....everything went as we had hoped!
