Ask for a room that does not face the entrance as the noise from people returning at night can float up to you if you open the windows at night. I don't believe our room had air conditioning, but once the air cooled off at night we were fine.
The outdoor garden and terrace were magnificent. They were filled with lemon, lime, fig, cherry, and plum trees, tomatoes, eggplant, and cucumbers, and grape vines over trellises overlooking the town and sea. Everywhere you turned were cozy nooks to sit or swing and tables covered with cheerful cloths waiting for a picnic. The hotel was located right near the center of town, close to the beach, not a big climb up, and a short 10--15 min walk from the train station, and was quiet. It had an elevator which was great for luggage. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious with both cold and hot options. The carrot and pineapple juice were big hits for our family, as was the fresh fruit. The staff were all very helpful and I appreciated that when the combination for the safe wouldn't work they waited until I was in the room before they opened it.
