Small building very well restored internally. Central location but easy to access even by car. Very friendly staff.

There is nothing that we would fault about Albergo Del Sedile. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is after great staff support, class and enjoys a hassle free sight seeing trip of the beautiful sassi di matera.

Location is good.Hotel room is very well designed, modern, and functional. Staff very helpful and polite (Francesca, especially, gave precise details of how to get to places, restaurants,etc much credit to the hotel)

The town of Matera is quite spectacular and hugely interesting, the whole place is totally incredible, a spot that everybody should have on their bucket list. The scenery getting there and the drive to Naples from there was utterly amazing.

Since I had taken a tumble the day before, the two flights of stone stairs to enter the hotel were not easy with a damaged foot and arm. There was no restaurant in the hotel or nearby open on that day which was a sunday. Leaving was just as difficult.

Location in town was magnificent. The music conservatory was next door ,you had beautiful music most of the day! The staff went above and beyond being helpful. The city of Matera is breathtaking!

Large airy room with wonderful small balcony looking over plaza. Very quiet. Great food very close. Sites very close. Staff were exceptionally friendly. Wish we had stayed longer.

Stairs!!! There are many to climb before you get to the lobby. If you have mobility problems this could be serious without an obliging husband to carry your bags.

I found the people of Matera extremely friendly and helpful. The Hotel was beautiful and a good bargain for the price.

Situation is optimal, right in the middle of the two Sassi. Easy access, modern comfort and a really nice design of the rooms. Old building refurbished with taste, congrats to the architect. Helpfull staff. Excellent value for money.

The location is terrific, the room was beyond clean, the staff (while not english speaking) did their best to help with restaurant suggestions, directions to points of interest and were just generally very upbeat and pleasant

Perfectly situated to visit the town. Renovated and stylish modern rooms. Staff are very helpful.

Breakfast room is a little bit small and not up to the standards of the rooms. It takes 40 steps to reach the reception from the Piazza del Sedile. But these lesser comforts are to be accepted when you stay in a traditional building in the heart of the old town

The spacious room was very beautifully decorated and was right in middle of town near charming piazza del Sedile. The bed was very comforatable with a separate walk in closet. There were good wifi facilities and sky television. The breakfast was good with a variety of pastries.

You need to climb some stairs to arrive at the reception. People with a mobile disability should not book this hotel/

A beautiful welcome at this very trendy hotel in the heart of Matera. Our room was large, airy and very comfortable, with a lovely en suite. Free Wifi, a welcome snack and a delicious breakfast. Classical music drifting into the room from the various music studios close tothis hotel. Heavenly. We can't wait to come and stay again.

There is nothing to dislike, but if you have mobility problems - the steps up to it may prove a little problematic.

Nice place with modern decoration. Good breakfast, nice staff. For elderly or infirm access is less easy as the hotel is on the main square away from parking a bit and at the top of two sets of stairs. Location is perfect in the centre of town.

The location of Albergo Del Sedile was perfect, right in the central square where you could listen to music from the several music conservatories near-by. The rooms were large, very modern, immaculate. Easy walking to both sassis. Great walking streets with good restaurants.

Arredamento e un bagno bellissimo

La cordialità dello staff eccezionale, sempre disponibile a ogni tua esigenza. La suite è qualcosa di fantastico, grande e spaziosa silenziosa, veramente tutto bello.

La colazione è molto misera per un hotel a 4 stelle, io ho soggiornato per due giorni e per due giorni sempre le stesse cose. Un vassoio di cornetti, una crostata al cioccolato e del cotto con dei pezzi di focaccia. La struttura non ha possibilità di parcheggio e non è convenzionato con alcun gestore, quindi diciamo che ti lasciano per strada.

Disponibilita' e gentilezza del personale. Confermo I giudizi positivi espressi dai clienti dell'hotel che mi hanno preceduto.

Premetto che sono rimasto un po' deluso. La posizione e' molto bella all'interno dell'area dei Sassi pur non essendo una costruzione tradizionale. I lavori di recupero dell'immobile fatti con cura hanno ecceduto in ricerca di originalità nella definizione degli arredi. Stanza molto grande con due belle finestre e balconcino sulla piazza ma Il letto rotondo personalmente e' eccessivo. La dichiarata area soggiorno, avevo una junior suite, in realtà non c'era. In definitiva nell'arredo si poteva sfruttare meglio lo spazio con soluzioni più tradizionali. Bagno con afflusso acqua calda insufficiente.

L'accesso avviene tramite oltre trenta gradini molto ripidi e non c'è ascensore. Non è stato prestato, ne' offerto, alcun aiuto per i bagagli: siamo consapevoli che siamo in un particolare centro storico ma un albergo 4 stelle privo di ascensore in questa situazione d'accesso deve prevedere il servizio bagagli. In realtà non vi è alcun parcheggio convenzionato: si viene indirizzati ad un garage sito a circa 300 m. NON custodito al costo di 1 € all'ora. La prima colazione e' miserina sicuramente migliorabile. La ricerca scenografica non è supportata da adeguato grado di comfort.
