Walking distance to all the sights in the old center. Pleasant ambiance, attractive, charming. Breakfast was acceptable, not fabulous, but acceptable. Endless self-serve coffee was very pleasant. Pleasant staff, excellent brown Labrador. Taxi stand was about a six minute walk when it was time to head to the station.
Room was on the small side, but I'm not really complaining.
Great location in city center, and value for money ratio.
Quite small room with no table, very small bathroom/shower.
It was unfortunately a bit of a flying visit by the time we'd dropped the hire car off. (Never drive in the centre of Bologna - Nightmare) The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful during our brief stay, we were given a great recommendation for a lovely restaurant nearby which meant that our last meal in Italy was fantastic. The hotel had a lovely tradition feel to it with an amazing location down a historical, pedestrian street. We would definitely head back here for another visit one day.
Not much really, could have done with an extra pillow with a thicker duvet. Very minor points, a lovely hotel.
The location is amazing, couldn't be more convenient for the city centre. The room was comfortable and spacious - quiet too but we were at the back of the premises with a rooftop view. Excellent value for money - we would love to stay again.
This is being picky, the breakfast is fairly basic - croissants, yoghurt ... but it was really all we needed at that time in the morning, we were still full from all the many excellent lunches and dinners !
We liked the location, the hotel itself and the welcome. Staff very friendly
The powerful shower in the bath flooded; only one chair in the Junior suite - arm was broken. Noise - constant hum in hotel -kept us awake a long time.
The location outside a quiet street. When I walked out the door in the morning I was delighted by the florist right across the way, and the market of fresh veggies, and of course the fabulous deli. This is really a great location! And its near everything in the center. I was happy there was a fan provided in the room, as well as a small refrigerator. The room was quiet. The breakfast was really basic, akin to a Comfort Inn-style e.g. basic rolls, fruit, coffee, juice.
No AC and its warm in Bologna so if not for the fan, I would not have slept well.
Fantastic location in the heart of the old town, surrounded by local cheese, meat, fish and flower shops. The perfect place for a foodie stay!
The bathroom in our room had only a bath and hand held shower with no shower curtain but it was no big deal. The location was so good.
Very helpful staff. Excellent location. Large room with lots of character and lovely bathroom
Breakfast was old fashioned "continental" style. Coffee out of a machine, no eggs. Very poor for price paid.
- excellent situated in the old city; - only a few steps away from the most important sightseeings - restaurants, bars, shops with many delicacies in the closest neighbourhood - free Wi-Fi - nice, friendly staff
- the top location goes along with noisy weekend nights - annoying doorbell, initiated by a light barrier
Location was fabulous Staff were helpful Room was large and nicely decorated. We loved Chocco the dog.
Unfortunately the hotel ran out of breakfast options an hour before it was meant to finish. This was disappointing. We were not aware we could not reach the hotel by car and had a lot of difficulty working out where to park to unload luggage. This is something worth overcoming as the location was fabulous!
I liked the funky artwork and decor in general. Le Draperie is a totally charming place -- gracious staff, varied fresh breakfasts, individual rooms. Good, fast wi-fi, very helpful staff recommendations for dinner, nice noon check-out time. Positioned by the old fish-market AND modern Eataly and other fancy markets. Elevator from lobby to upper floors is nice. Price seemed reasonable for such a good location.
Steps up to the lobby. I always wish for screens on the windows in Europe -- I like to have the windows open at night, but worry about mosquitos...
Fantastic location. Furnishing is old school, but pretty and different from your typical modern plain chain hotel. Staff very friendly. Great for a good value stay in the centre of town.
if your after 5 star luxury this is not it. But its a great, pretty hotel
Good location and great staff.
They say there is A/C but it doesn't work. Solution, don't book during the warmer months. Also, no shower so water gets everywhere when using the spray nozzle.
The staff all are kind and capable people. It is nice to know the owner wants his guests to be happy.
What a fun place to stay! Steps away from the center of underrated Bologna, with an extremely helpful and cheerful staff that did everything from recommend fine restaurants to print out our opera tickets for our next destination, Verona. I would not stay anywhere else. Our room, #201, turned out to be extremely quiet and restful.
We loved everything about this hotel. The location was spot-on - in the middle of a busy market, minutes from the centre. The building itself was wonderfully quirky, all the rooms were individually decorated and equipped and the ones we looked at were - without exception - charming. Our welcome was wonderful and despite arriving long before the official check-in, we were shown to our room straight away. Wifi was free in the room, and was very efficient. The room itself was fabulous - large and very elegant, and the bathroom was stunning. The staff could NOT have been more attentive, charming or helpful and we will return to the hotel without any hesitation, the next time we travel to Bologna. We wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else.
Nice room and bathroom.
The breakfast is horrible, you can't even call it a breakfast. Also, we got only one towel.
Very pleasant stay... loved the location, wonderful vibrant little street. Friendly staff. Good value.
We arrived on a Sunday so not able to drive to hotel as roads were closed. This was ok however the sole staff member was unable to give directions to parking and had no maps :(
the room and bathroom were spacious and comfortable. the location is great for exploring Bologna.
air conditioning did not work for first day and a half
Staff were very friendly and accomodating.
Room needed a desk.
Loved the location, right in the oldest part of town, beautiful side streets where espresso, fresh fruit, etc. available . Hotel had a lift as well, always a plus. Staff helpful with taxi.
Nothing, really, I would stay there again.
