Hotel Posta is set in a building dating back to the 1800s, and offers rooms overlooking the garden or Orvieto. Right in the historic centre, it also includes luggage storage facilities and a lift.
Score from 298 reviews Good 7.9/10
The location was perfect and the room was just right for my needs. The buffet breakfast was also good.
I could find the tv switch and it was a little difficult trying to communicate to the staff who could only speak Italian.
Breakfast was delicious, air conditioning was very nice, and the location within the town was perfect. It was really nice having 24 desk service and I was able to keep my luggage in a room from the time I checked out until the time I left Orvieto.
The "double" bed was actually just two singles pushed together. For one person it was nice but might be uncomfortable for two people.
They were extremely friendly at the front desk, and really helpful.
It's a great hotel in the historical center of Orvieto. The staff is very helpful, we enjoyed staying there.
quiet but central location
breakfast time finishes at 9.30am
nice to be able to have a 2nd cappuccino at breakfast
Good breakfast. In the historic centre, although not close to the funicolare.
The single room was verry small. The price for this small room too high.
location was great
hard to check in, elderly woman spoke no English, had to wait until her daughter came back, to check in.
I would stay there again. Wonderful staff and fantastic location.
Central location, just off of the main piazza. Warm and comfortable room and a friendly and helpful staff made our stay most enjoyable. Also their suggestions regarding places to eat were excellent and should be tried. Well worth it.
Did not know that our arrival coincided with the last day of the Orvieto Jazz Festival. This made what should have been easy access to our hotel simple, a nightmare. Streets were blocked with stalls and people en mass. Accessing the hotel entrance was only possible by going the wrong way up a one way street. Then we had to park in a lot about a mile from the hotel, without bus or shuttle from the hotel. This was not good!
Good location in the city center but quiet. Kind staffs. Very comfortable stay at Orvieto.
Very friendly staff, welcoming and considerate. Fab breakfast, with everything we wanted, eggs, panini, cereal, coffee, brioches... smallish but comfy rooms. Nice hot water. Would happily stay there again.
Central location in Orvieto. Small but adequate rooms. Helpful staff.
Staff don't know much english. Driving car to hotel is interesting. Parking is via a card onto the large city parking garage.
Convenient location to Duomo and other attractions.
Advertised as having air conditioning and it was only a fan. Advertised as having wifi, but it was the slowest, inconsistent internet connection we had anywhere in Italy. Breakfast skimpy. Weird egg cooker that took forever.
Gotic Catedral from 13c
Good size room, pleasant staff and a varied breakfast choice in a lovely town.
A pathetic hairdryer (bring your own!) and the room overlooked a noisy street.
A comfortable hotel. A great location right in the centre of town. As always in such towns parking is an issue and they should allow you to depart without returning to the hotel to submit the parking 'exit' card.
room was too dark and poor ventilated
This hotel was in a great location for Orvieto. We enjoyed our stay here.
Very high quality of accommodation at extraordinary value in this magical city
nothing at all
Close to centre (within the old town). Friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast. Good size room and bathroom. Large and welcoming reception area.
A bit tired looking. No elevator ( but most rooms on first floor). No newspapers offered by hotel.
Situated inside the walls of Orvieto.
Parking but that's a problem of a place like this
Very clean, modern, central, friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast. quiet at night.
staff could have been a bit more English or French lingual.
Car parking in the town was difficult to understand.
