The breakfast was really good and there is park to the car for free

The non smoking rooms stank of smoke and the one thin pillow supplied reeked of cigarettes the breakfast was very sparse and short on choice. There were no tea and coffee making facilities in the room, and after being asked if we would like to park in the garage overnight and being told there would be no charge a parking charge appeared with the bill the next morning . Overall a very unsatisfactory experience how it got a rating of above 5, I do not know .

Car parking was interesting. This hotel is in between two apartment blocks and parking in between the hotel and apartments was free, but anyone could walk off the street and access the car. No one did do anything to the car. You can pay extra to park in their locked garage.

Why do you have an ashtray in a non smoking room? The room smelt a bit and needed airing, otherwise I was very happy with everything.

Nothing, in fact we had booked for three nights but on arrival went out to find another hotel. A room at our new chosen hotel was not available for that night so we were obliged to stay for one night, we managed to find the only restaurant open on the coast road (near the road works) slept the night and moved to our new hotel the following morning. We were charged for only two nights at Albergo Fiorenza but we were only too pleased to be out of it!

The main problem was it was 3.5km from Serlano and they were digging up the coast road. The hotel itself was dtaed and dirty.

Not speaking Italian , we found the staff to be most helpful and just a delight to talk with. Every one from the "bell boy" including the desk staff were great. Being our first trip to this area of Italy, they had suggestions and infromation that was very helpful in our short 3 night stay. We were happy to pay the reasonable car park fee for our rented auto. The breakfast and coffee was wonderful. Bus stop right outside the front door leads to the whole city and area if not driving. Driving not recommended if can be avoided. Overall the stay at the Albergo Fiorenza was a great experience and will highly recommend it for location and value.

The hotel is situated just 100 m from the beach and a bit further from the centre of Salerno but there are restaurants, cafes and shops nearby. The staff was helpful - primarily in Italian which was a bit challenging for us!! The room was very nice and clean and had a balcony with a view towards the sea. We were able to park in the hotel parking area.The room was cleaned everyday. The selection of foods in the breakfast buffet was okay but it was poorly maintained -serviced.

The hotel was execellent but we would have preferred a more central location.

We liked the somewhat old-fashioned atmosphere of an Italian style hotel, and the cleanliness of all parts of the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We would have preferred somewhere nearer to the centre of the city, particularly because there was a local bus strike while we were there.

Great staff who makes you feel like home and is always eager to give you some good advice. The hotel is just in front of the beach which is very convenient to go sunbathing, and a bus takes you to the city center in no more than 10 minutes. A very convenient place to stay, to relax and enjoy the seaside for a few days.

Helpful and friendly staff

I would highly recommend the albergo fiorenza to everyone. The continental breakfast was more adequate then I expected. They even had cappacinos and various sweets along with cereals and fruit. The staff went out of their way to help us and there was always someone there could understand english.
