In the historic center of Bologna, Hotel Cavour features a small furnished terrace with views of the towers, and an inner courtyard. Public areas have free Wi-Fi.
Score from 1282 reviews Very good
The highlight of Hotel Palace is its location, in the heart of the historic center of Bologna, a 5-minute walk from Piazza Maggiore.

Set in Bologna's historic quarter, Zanhotel Il Canale is named for the canal which it overlooks. Cozy and friendly, the hotel is just a 5 minute walk from Piazza Maggiore.
Score from 217 reviews Good
Just 500 ft from Bologna Train Station, this designer hotel is next to the gardens of Parco della Montagnola. It has ultra-modern rooms with free Wi-Fi.
Score from 1169 reviews Good
nice big comfortable room right in the middle of the city. nice and helpful people.
in the room is a little warm, and we had to left the window open, but it's quite noisy in the middle of the city. difficult to find parking in the middle of bologna.
Perfect location, wonderful view
Breakfast is really really poor. Just coffee and croissant, nothing else.
The staff were very warm, kind with the additional scrupulous Italian courtesy. We had a great time there, being our first 'big city' off the usual touristy trail in Italy.
There are probably good reasons behind the policy some Italian hotels have of having you leave your room key within the building and picking it up from the front desk. I just respectfully mention that perhaps for non Italians the anxiety of arriving back late and thus keeping staff up, or feeling that one's freedom to explore and visit bars in the evening and mingle with the locals, is curtailed by having to pick up one's room key at the front door, might better be served by a change in policy in this regard.
Very good location, in the center of town! The people who work at the hotel were very kind and they try to help you!!They speak English!!!
Located in the center, staff very friendly, the caffe for breakfast was very good
Not easy to find, the signs do not lead in the right direction
Localisation (despite it is a city center you can easily fall asleep, windows are new so the sound from the street doesn't bother you), very good room standard (clean and comfortable), good conditions (sheared bathroom very clean), elevator. For people who appreciate tarnquility. The place has it's own, unique atmosphere. Highly recomended.
Breakfast (coffe good, biscuits bad) but it is really not a problem because the place is cool ;)
Staff courteous and friendly. The location couldn't be more central
The earliest you can have breakfast is 8:00. No discount is offered if you have to leave earlier without breakfast. The noise from the plumbing is loud!!
Perfect location, very friendly ve helpfull staff. Pay attention to the room category. There are two types of rooms: with en-suite bathroom and with shared bathroom. We booked the one with en-suite bathroom and were very satisfied.
Great location, good staff. Very comfortable and clean.
location, spotlesly clean
nothing not to like here
Staff Cleanliness WiFi
it is quite tricky to find. If they stated that it was opposite the pizza place on Rivoli then I would have found it straight off. It's a great spot and all the staff were very friendly and courteous.
Clean rooms and bathrooms Intimate and quiet hotel Easy check-in and helpful staff
I loved everything!
Location, staff and price
Shared bathroom, but this was specified so we can't complain!
The staff was wonderful, as was the location and breakfast.
We were made welcome from the very beginning, and they went out of their way to help us after it turned out that we had made an error in booking for 2 days rather than 3, at a time when a commercial fair in Bologna made it impossible to find new quarters. They saved the day!
Right next to the towers, fantastically central location (if a little difficult to find initially). Staff very accomodating and helpful. Breakfast was nice and bathrooms clean.
Excellent price for this location Very friendly/helpful staff!
Location. Staff are extremely friendly and willing to help. Room has a special decoration. Breakfast satisfactory.
This place is cxtremely difficult - almost impossible - to find if you don't use Google Map. The street name is actually not a street, just a "corner". Don't even think about asking locals, they will unavoidablly mislead you, except taxi drivers.
Location is perfect.
Staff was very friendly
It is more of a private apartment turned into a hostel. One can hear what happens in the apartment, in the rooms around. Breakfast was terrible Parking is close to impossible
The location was excellent as in many other reviews. The old gentleman at the reception speaks very good English and was very helpful.
Super location, very clean, lovely room...felt very authentic. Reasonable rate for centre of town. Owners very pleasent and helpful.
Shared bathroom took getting used to, but worked out very well
Well located, very friendly staff doing their best to make sure your stay is pleasant, very clean and comfy room and well soundproofed windows. Overall has nice vintage character, well recommended.
bit difficult to find as the address was insufficient
- The staff were great and helpful, they even helped me to check-in for my flight the next day. The owner even went with me to find parking since parking is extremely limited/restricted. - Location was good in that it was in the historic centre. The room size was great and the bathroom was a decent size. - The elevator was easy to get to and was definitely appreciated.
- Difficult to find. Had to ask a number of people for direction to the building. - If you like being in the entertainment section of a town then this is the place but this area also looks rough. Graffiti all over the place including historical sites. - Bed wasn't too comfortable. Pillows in hotels in Italy as very thin.
