The kindness of the people, the location and the beauty of the place, made our stay very nice. The room are very spacious, and clean, and the bathroom have large windows
The rooms are outside the building, so we had to carry the luggage up to stairs to get into the room.
What a beautiful, peaceful place to stay! Our hosts were absolutely lovely, and even though we couldn't speak Italian, there was no problem at all. Breakfast was amazing, with delicious home made cakes and home grown produce (mmmm figs!). The location was great as we had a car and parking was available; it was only about 10mins walk into the old town (even with a lot of stairs). We'd definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others.
Very friendly & helpful hosts, good breakfast, excellent bathroom.
Clairaudient bedroom at least on the ground floor. we could hear guests from upstairs walking and using the bathroom past midnight.
The owner was very helpful in giving recomendatuons for dinner, booking us for wine tours. The breakfast was pretty good. The locationis outstanding - a few minutes walking from the gate and with parking on site ( that's exceptional for Montepulciano) . Simplyfollow the owner's recomendations and you'll make no mistake . Very comfortable place !
There was no coffe in the room . The pillows we're a bit harder. But it doesn't change our overall very postove opinion about the hotel. Grate place with very helpful staff!
This is the best hotel we stayed in Italy. Breakfast is very very good! Garden very beautiful. Bed so comfortable! People so nice:)
The owners recognized us from our first stay and greeted us like family. It was so nice to be so warmly welcomed after our long walk. My sister and i plan to stay there again on our next visit.
Nothing!! They are perfect hosts and the property is spotless, quiet and beautiful.
We were treated like royalty here. I can't rave enough about the service...far above expectations. Best breakfast buffet on our entire trip.
Regret not staying longer. Perfect.
Friendly and informative reception from Niccolo (good English), Excellent shower and bed, good lighting, good breakfast with fresh fruit, ham and cheese, free on-site parking.
possible improvement: tiny safe and weak wifi in room.
Sitting in the garden in the sunshine. Excellent breakfast with really good selection. Lovely room and bathroom.
We loved this place, the garden is gorgeous and well kept. It was very pleasant to sit outside under the trees & just enjoy. The family who run it are lovely, very nice breakfast, including capacino.
Il Rondo has nice place, very piecefull and with beautiful garden. To the centre it is nice walk-elevator was out of work, but still is not so difficult to take steps. Our room was smaller but nice arraged, with small living room outside and bathroom in smaller size, but very good done. We stayed only one night, prbably for longer stay it would be too small...Big plus of this hotel is parkplace...we drived a bit also in the city and it was really -already morning - difficult to find a parkplace.
Smaller room for breakfast and not really homemade products - fabric marmelade and honey, mozzarela and tomatoes with supermarket taste - that was only not positive in Il Rondo.
This property is run by a lovely Italian family who are friendly and extremely helpful , the grounds are beautiful and only a short walk into town but it felt we were miles away as it's so peaceful . Breakfast was delicious and cooked by the family .
everything, the place, the location, the garden, the kindness of the owners... everything was so great!
The grounds are picturesque and in perfect order. The staff maintain the property on a daily basis. The son spoke English very fluently and offered suggestions on Montepulciano and the surrounding area. The breakfast buffet in the morning was impressive. The powdered sugar croissants were my favorite. There were fresh juices as well as water and coffee/cappuccino. The room offered a small safe for money and valuables. The decor was dated but very tasteful. I read a few negative reviews on this property, but found them to most likely be from people who did not even look at the pictures. There was nothing wrong with this hotel it fit very well with the area. The city center is a bit of a hike, but that is to be expected due to the geography of the location. The walk is worth the spectacular views. The owner will explain the quickest way to the city center and if you are not a big hiker he will explain where a lift is that can take you to the small park at the entrance of the city. All in all this was an amazing start to my vacation and I would recommend this hotel to everyone that is looking for a quiet, peaceful, and romantic getaway. The security of the hotel is very comforting, although the area did not seem to need the level of security. Their is a gate that locks after a certain time, but you are given a key that will allow you access after hours. each building has a outside door that you have the ability to lock, and you have the room door that also locks. If the weather is in your favor your mornings will be quite wonderful. Sitting in the garden with a cup of coffee was very peaceful.
I can not come up with a single negative.
The family owners were welcoming and professional, and had great recommendations for town. Location was excellent - healthy walk or easy drive - and the grounds were beautiful. The room was comfortable and well appointed, and the breakfast was delicious.
This was a little hidden treasure and surpassed expectations. The owners took care of every little detail with such love and pride. The room was beautiful with a lovely view of the garden. There was a little living room which was shared between the adjoining room with tea and coffee making facilities and bottled water - a really lovely spot (also air conditioned). The breakfast was one of the best I've had, everything fresh and of excellent quality, including the coffee. The garden was beautiful and a pleasure to just sit and enjoy. I would definitively recommend this little treasure.
All round beautiful..relacing atmosphere with beautiful garden. Within walking distance from the city. The owners were very friendly and helpful and made our stay a pleasant experience. Would definitely stay here again when I visit Montepulciano!
Nothing, we found everything good.
Good location, just a short walk into town which made for easy trips into the city. Great family staff that made us feel at home and had great recomendations for dinner and the like. Would definetly stay here again and recommend to others.
All was well, no complaints at all. Great experience..
Wonderful and personal welcome from the owner and family who could not have been more helpful and charming. Lovely room and great breakfast with fruit from the garden. Great location. Rural feel but ten minutes walk from the town centre. Everything delightful about our stay and a personal farewell from the family with a complimentary bottle of wine. You have our personal recommendation and can book with confidence.
Beautifully situated, easy walk to Montepulciano with access to a lift. The whole experience was completely delightful.
Quality of staff, rooms, gardens
Albergo Il Rondo was beautiful. The rooms, the gardens - everything was lovely. We enjoyed the delicious breakfast, and our request for eggs was honored! Loved the cappuccino, too. Staff was very helpful in planning our daily outings and gave great advice on local restaurants, as well.
No complaints at all about Il Rondo. The town of Montepulciano, however, was a bit boring. However, great location for day trips to other nearby towns and villages.
We liked everything. Some would not like the location as it's quite a bit downhill from Montepulciano. But the garden setting is lovely, and There's an elevator that helps with the walk up to town.
I stayed here with my friends for my pre wedding trip. The environment is fabulous with exquisitely devotation. The owner and his family is very nice and helpful. They introduced us very nice restaurants and gave me a bottle of wine as present when we checked out. What a sweet surprise! We love this hotel very much and really want to stay longer.
