Great vacation location. Staff great. Right on the sea. Near shopping, and restaurants. Inexpensive. The hotel was quite with great views. I plan to return.
They close end of September.
I will go here again, its fantastic, lovely and all other words that will make people to choose this hotel.I did not eat dinner at the hotel so I can not tell, but the morning meal and the atmosfere it lovely.
- the lovely airy tranquil feel - the comfy lounges - the terrace where you can sunbathe - the lovely view of the little bay from the garden and terrace -the great position overlooking the bay and the public park next door with lots of things to keep a family amused in the evening.
- the difficult parking - the noise from other residents - the noise insulation is poor - there is no access to the beach, you need to pay if you wish to access it.
Everything else except things that I mention under "I didn't like" such as breakfast, facilities, town, water. Staff at hotel very helpful and kind. Food at restaurants near by.
No hotel beach. 30€/day for 2 sunbeds and umbrella, but there is a very small beach if you take a walk for 200-300 meters. Visit also "Bagno di Roma".
Unbeatable sea views, lovely park beneath the hotel, friendly staff, nice breakfast room, close proximity to Castilioncello town centre, early 20th century seaside holiday atmosphere.
Room (on 4th floor) not exactly lavishly furnished. Ants on the floor as soon as you drop a breadcrumb! On arrival not 100% clean (hairs on the floor).
Lovely setting, sea view room, beautiful gardens next to the beach. Informal hotel with grand public rooms. Close to station; small very attractive town with good restaurants; walks.
didn't notice air conditioning - a couple of days (mid July) were very hot. Beach access next to hotel very expensive, so we sun bathed in the gardens overlooking the bay.
The Hotel is in fantastic setting on edge of sea overlooking lovely bay.The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was great with gorgeous sea view.Great decor with old world charm. An ideal Hotel in ideal location.
The location of this hotel is wonderful, as is the history. It was easy to find with a GPS and met all of our needs. This is a modest hotel with a dated rooms, however the feel and charm out way any issue you may have. It is great value for what you get and the town is lovey! If you go, do not rent chairs on the rocks or town beach. They tried to rip us off by asking 32 Euro after 3pm. We went to the Spaggio Biancho or Cina beach instead. They are free or you can pay 8 euro for parking. Not crowed but amazing water and sand. Annoying beach venders but that was life. We would return in a heart beat! Love the place!
The Hotel was set in a lovely relaxing garden overlooking the sea. I had a wonderful sea view from my bedroom. My room was simple and immaculate. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The Hotel was easily accessed from the Railway Station on foot. Castiglioncello is a delightful town with great restaurants. I enjoyed walking though the parks and along the sea front very much as well as swimming in the sea. It was a real find and I hope to return again
The view from the rooms, and the trees all around the hotel
Breakfast was uninspired No wifi in the rooms
The location of the hotel is fabulous right on the water with spectacular views of the Mediterranean Sea. The service was friendly and professional. The hotel itself is charming and full of character.
Each individual room needs wifi.
Location is great and staff is friendly and helpful.
It would be nice to have wifi in rooms.
The helpfulness of the staff. The atmosphere of the place The size and view of the room and the elegance of the public areas
A bit expensive. No hooks to hang big towels in the bathroom
A wonderful old pub that is showing its age but which gives an idea of how wonderful it must have been in its hayday before 1940. Publlc rooms are superb as are the extensive gardens and the views. Everything is spotlessly clean and the staff keen to help. In its day it must have been one of the top hotels in all of Italy but tp compete with today's leading hotels it needs millions of Euros spent on new lifts and renovations of the grounds. A must for those who appreciate the grace of yesteryear.
Staff, location & food were all excellent. Nothing was too much trouble.
Could do with a slight update on a few furnishings etc.
Wonderful location and a lot of space around the hotel.
