Charming and quite hotel, great location (5 min walk from spanish stairs & fontana di trevi, 2 min from barberini metro station), friendly staff, adequate room for Rome center (a bit small with big bathroom).Additionally, room - hotel facilities were very clean, wi-fi excellent and free of charge. Highly recommended, great value for the price paid. Breakfast could be improved for a 4 star hotel, 100% non smoking which is not in fact negative, but they could at least place an ashtray in front of the entrance.

Stayed here for 3 nights in November. Hotel offered lots of peace and quietness in the centre of a bustling city. Comfortable and cozy atmosphere from the moment you enter the hotel and even the lane where the hotel lies was pretty and quiet. Standard Room was reasonably sized for a city hotel and nicely decorated with care and attention to detail. Room was spacious enough plus the minibar was a convenient extra. The bathroom was niver and modern with a lovely large shower and also had some little accessories for an added touch of luxury. Hotel Ottocento has earned it's 4 stars in my opinion but mainly because the staff were by far the best I have come across in my travels; they spoke good English, were extra attentive and very helpful. My wallet and camera were stolen downtown on my last night prior to me paying for my stay and the staff were very compassionate and happy to help and arrange our payment alternatively showing extreme professionalism which is why I would highly recommend this hotel to others. Nothing negative really! The bar though was very tiny and very very quiet, not really a place you would like to stay and chat for the night, more like a part of the lobby and we found ourselves having to track down staff to get a coffee. As a result of this it gave the place more of a guesthouse/B&B feel rather than a hotel. The minibar was very expensive (€4 for a bar of chocolate or bottle of mineral). Allthough that said, the area itself is very costly and my partner paid between 7.95 and 12 euro for a local beer everywhere we went! Very expensive.

Hotel staff very nice. Breakfast very nice. 1. Room is quite small, not just small but the bad design which leads the room only fit one large bed. 2. tv only 4 channels and not working prefectly. the TV placed in the corner in which i cant watch tv if i sit/lay on the bed. so basically its just a furnishing. 3. equipments are very old. you need go downstairs to the receiption to update your wifi/internet code every 3 hrs. 4. no slippers. 5. no hot waters.

We liked the location which was excellent. The hotel was nice lookiing and recently refurbished making teh room very clean and comfortable. The staff were very helpful, pleasent, approachable and friendly throughout the weeklong stay, giving us tips and insights of what to do, where to eat and booking for us specific trips. Which chose the hotel randomly via your site and were not disappointed with what got especially after seeing other similar hotels in the same neighbourhood which looked more run down,

Excellent location. Very near the major attractions except the Vatican. The wifi signal in our room (first floor) was poor and the air conditioning was not working.

Great location, very good food and very helpful and friendly staff We paid an extra 100 euro to get an upgraded room (deluxe double room). We were given room 404. The window was tiny and at ceiling level. There was not sufficient natural light. Artificial light was required all day.

The location is perfect for having a good start on most typical roman attractions: Fontanan di Trevi, Spanish stairs, Vatican City,...etc. The receptionist is simply adorable and willing to give the best tips for Rome. We had a Junior suite...and the standard for a top-of-the-class room (even for a 4 stars) hotel is low. It is a duplex, main bedroom on top floor, very italian style. But the bed is hard as rock and the pillows too flat. The furniture a bit too simple and the amenities basic. Breakfast was included but also not very good. For the price paid, I'd recommend some of the five stars hotel in the proximities of Via Sistina!

Albergo is an excellent located hotel if you want to see Rome on foot. Nice, clearn and generaly quit with ok breakfast and very good cappuccino. Very polite staff and willing to help Rooms too small and not so practical. Breakfast is good for Mediteranian standards. An American citizen would be disappointed though if the expectation are bacon, onions, salad, variety of hams and cheese.

Very nice staff. Nice surroundings. Comfortably beds. Quiet and private room for Internet. Tranquil breakfast room, nice staff also there. And cappucino! Traffic noise outside - even if the windows had double shades. Our Deluxe room had one and only simple chair - not convinient for two tired walking tourists. We, people from the North, also missed some dark bread for breakfast (the pastry dishes were really impressing). Only one channel in English - CNN with misarably information about Europe and Noth Africa.

Staff where very friendly and went out of their way to be of assistance. They booked us in to our room at 8am in the morning (check in time was 2pm). They provided a phone charger/adapter. They were always interested in helping us to get to where we were going. They were very cheerful and kind. We are extremely pleased with the service.

I liked the location of the hotel, it was close to a few of the sightseeing locations (within walking distance). The room was lovely, a junior suite with you own private patio, the bathroom had a jacuzzi tub which was relaxing. The staff was wonderful.

Smart decor, friendly & helpful staff, fair breakfast. Comfortable bed and good TV. Quiet. Good central location just off Piazza Barberini, so close to metro and open tour bus stops, and just five mins from Trevi Fountain and 10 from Spanish steps. Lift - fine for two plus cases. No view as our room did not look out onto street. No tea/coffee making in the room (in common with most Italian hotels). [Roof terrace wasn't open during low season]

The location is great since its only a few minutes away from Spanish steps. However I would suggest that they add facilities for persons with disability - after all it is a four star.

Very good hotel with it's own style, good location(40 seconds walk to the metro station Barberini, close to the restaurants, shops, the Spanish stairs and the Trevi fountain, Via Veneto, Via Sistina, etc. The staff was kind, helpful, pleasant to communicate. Rooms are ok, not so spacious but bigger than in some other hotels in city centers, very good bathroom(no view from the window is a typical feature in Rome so it's no problem.) Breakfast is standart, although the choice could have been bigger. It was a little dark in the room, and only one socket, so it's a trouble to charge more than one device at the same time.
