Place and neighborhood If you book a stardard room, ok, despite it's not, , a 4 star category. If you, like us, book a "de luxe" room as they used to show on site, they will try to cheat you and give a standard room. So we stayed 2 days in a inferior room and the others 2 in the room we've payed for, as the photo showed. The day after our complaint (the receptionist said: there are a lot of hotels nearby) , the photos changed!!!!!!, now people can be cheated easilly, because they joined all photos on "de luxe" room, so you can't know which kind of room you 've payed for.!!!!!!!! The difference between the 2 rooms are very, very big, like: TV was a 12" , from the sixties, the real "de luxe" had a big flat, up to date, tv, the size of them was very different too |

The staff were very good and the location was perfect for a city visit. We didn't use a single taxi for two whole days. Just walked everywhere. The room smelled badly of cigarettes and was in my opinion small and dingy. Breakfast was limited. I don't think the hotel warrants 4 stars. |

Albergo Ottocento was very conveniently located to many attractions in Rome. The decor of the rome was very nice and the breakfast was good. Staff were always friendly and helpful. The only criticism we had was the presence of cigarette odour. We had requested non-smoking. However, we did not raise this with the staff as we felt we would not be spending much time in the room and it would be bearable. |

The proximity of the hotel to the centre of Rome. Very close to the Barberini metro station. It is not a value for money hotel. Very expensive for what it offers. Very small rooms. Limited breakfast variety. The main reason I chose the hotel was the free wi-fi which however, had a very weak signal on the first floor and was not working. In addition you need every time to go down the reception to give you a password for a limited amount of time. So wi-fi may be free but at some point you get bored of going up and down the floors. I was better served by an unsecured network I found just by chance. |

the hotel location was the best point the hotel was over priced to the quality of service, and i think it didnt deserve the 4 stars ranking, i think its 3 stars max ... there was no room service and the space of the room was so small. |

Room was surprisingly roomy & airy. Very cute boutique hotel. Central to all the attractions in Rome. Lovely rooftop garden restaurant. Excellent buffet breakfast. Enjoyed our stay very much. Greeting from front desk could be a little less icy. |

Nice small hotel with a very friendly, courteous and helpful staff. Appreciated the buffet breakfast. The location was well situated for walking in the city or taking the Metro as there was a station right around the corner. Would definitely stay there again. Would have liked the air conditioning to be a little cooler. |

Location of the hotel is great. Walking distance from di Trevi fountain, Piaza di Spagna, and Shoping centers and under 100m to the metro station. The personal were very helpful with perfect english. We asked early accomodation because of very early arrival and our room was ready in 08:00AM without additional payment. The rooms are small (for almost all hotels in Italy) and the breakfast is frugal. |
