the breakfast was like Butlins in the 80's, The staff were quite aloof, The price of drinks and the room were too much. Good place if you are middle class conservative american who likes to play golf, state the obvious, and you think anything made out of marble or anything that has gold leaf on it is the height of classiness

Very helpful staff. My room on the 4th floor was very quiet, and as a single I appreciated the large luxurious bed and generous supply of towels. Convenient for the Centro Storico. Bar nibbles generous and tasty.

An oasis of calm in very hectic Naples. Nicely appointed rooms, friendly staff. Not cheap for Naples, but good value for money all the same. Situated in the historic center, many of the important sights can be reached on foot.

The area gets rather dark and deserted from 8-9pm (but at the same time the advantage is that it is quiet and you get a good night's sleep). My Neapolitan friends advise taking a taxi at night, and not braving the neighbourhood on foot.

Location - Napoli! Hard to find. Don't attempt to drive there - or anywhere in Napoli; it's a nightmare! Parking is hard as well - get a cab.

Bad location, yes, it is near the center, but in dirty and poor part. It is better to stay near habour (near the sea).

Beautiful palazzo very centrally located in the centro storico, but still quiet. Nicely designed and spacious room. Friendly and helpful staff.

Not a "didn't like", more of a tip: the area is lively and colouful during the day, at night it is dark and fairly deserted; local friends recommend taking a taxi when returning late in the evening. Other travellers complained about lack of car access in the daytime due to traffic restrictions in the centro storico. One has to walk up 100 meters from the nearest main street; to a European this problem seems exaggerated. However, make sure your taxi driver doesn't take you to the similarly named Decumeno Hotel de charme! Breakfast was fine, but could have had more choice. Very friendly staff however.

The space was welcome. The service was outstanding - it was warm and friendly and really appreciated.

We like to be able to have a cup of tea in our room - and this influenced our choice of hotel for the rest of our stay in Italy. That said, staff made us beautiful cups of tea served in the bar.

Good base for city sight seeing but offering a quiet haven in the centre of activities

I really liked this smaller hotel. ANd they offered me a welcome drink after my long flight there.

We encountered very friendly and helpful staff. The room was finely decorated and furniture fully met our requirements. The bathroom was the best we found in Italy.

The TV system is a bit confusing with this reminder about billing not on porn channels but CNN and BBC.

Naples is a very busy, dirty city. This is a very well run hotel in the historical part of Naples. It was within walking distance to the train station and most historical sites.

The hotel is an old building who's interior has been meticulously restored to a clean, modern, comfortable lodging place. The staff was very helpful. It has free wifi and a complimentary drink in their cozy lounge. The owner, himself brought my bags to my room and refused a tip, saying "you don't tip the owner." I found the place while browsing the internet, but would definitely stay there again.

It is situated on a very old and rather "gritty" street....... But then again, that's Napoli. However, it is rich in history and character.

Some of the staff were unfriendly, rude and unhelpful. Shame but our checkout experience was the only low point.

Ac needs to be turned down a bit more in rooms when it is hot.

Perfect location, right in the old town, close to all relevant places in Naples

Tiny room size (although we booked a "superior room" instead of a standard room -- we can not imagine how small that would have been...). Uncomfortable beds. The quality of the room design is at least "debatable". Room service only exchances towels, did not make beds and refill minibar one out of two nights. At reception, there is almost no staff present to handle inquiries. Breakfast is decent, but nothing special, and all in all a negative experience, as it is served in a depressing, narrow, cellar-like room without windows. All in all, this hotel provided among the worst value for money we had ever experienced -- especially compared to other options in Naples that we had visited just weeks before.

The room was quite luxurious and well equipped. It was great being near the historical centre.

Make sure that you have really clear directions as to how to find the hotel. The tourist information just told me to go to a particular street and said hopefully you will find it there. It was not directly off of this street. The staff were very pleasant at the hotel. For something like the boat schedule to Amalfi though they told me to look it up on the internet.

Breakfast was good. Hotel is in the centre of the historic sights of Naples. Room was excellent though.

The hotels location is difficult to locate. Got lost a few times trying to find my way back. Should have a ramp to take your luggage into the hotel and to the lift. It's not that difficult to install one. Couldn't watch the Euro cup matches while there even if you wanted to pay for it, which was disappointing for the amount of money you pay for. Wouldnt recommend staying in Naples to begin with. Must be the dirtiest and most unkept place in Europe. The hotel was ok. Not great and not bad

The only negative relates to the colorlessness of the place. You'd never know you are staying in a hotel in the middle of old Naples. Once in your room, you could be in a nice Holiday Inn in Nebraska. Bland furnishings and nothing at all that reflects the fact you are stating in the old town. A shame and puzzling decision by the interior decorators.

Excellent Hotel with caring friendly staff.

The hotel is a modernised older building. Quite minimalist in its decor and is essentially a boutique hotel. It suited us ideally as a place to stay the night between flights into and out of Naples. We loved the welcome drink with some really good quality nibbles.

Nothing really. Perhaps a hotel nearer the airport would have been better but it's location near a busy area of Naples gave us somewhere to visit and since it doesn't do evening meals there were some good eateries nearby
