Location is good, walking distance from the vaporato station. Good value for money. Breakfast was good I thought that it was better than this. In my opinion it should be a 2 stars hotel. My room was small. Seems very old and needs renovation. Internet should be free

I had to change the room (actually my stuff was moved when I was out in the town) without the reason. I was told there was some water issue and whole room was flooded, but all my stuff was dry... Not nice receptionist. Price very high considering breakfast was not included.

Good staff, good buffet breakfast. We stayed the first 2 nights in a corner room. The heating was insufficient - 19°C. We ere then moved to a room in the middle of the facade and heating was fine.

Frank and neil from the black country uk lovely hotel on the lido near to the ferry for san marco square ,there is also a direct ferry from the airport to here. The hotel seems to run very well with excellent curtios staff, our room was fairly large with good decor and the obligatory lcd tv which catered for most western european languages if thats your thing on holiday. There were a few local bars and shops just a few minuets walk away and if you didnt know a ten minuet walk will take you to the other side of the lido where there are sandy beaches for sunbathers and sun worshipers .Yes we would certainly use this hotel again if we were in the area but beware transport costs are high for touristsie 25 euros return to the airport and 13 euros to cross the water to san marco square both trips by public transport, the locals pay a lot less I would have thought the eu would have outlawed such an unfair practise oh and dont forget the tourist tax payable at your hotel approx 2.20 euros per night, happy holidays frank.

Excellent staff on the front desk, very helpful. The breakfasts were rather a disappointment, they were very basic and I have to say we all found it difficult to find something to eat - even the kids moaned on the third day! It would have been nice to have some fresh fruit... Croissants are sweet enough without additional sugar on the top!

Hotel Rigel was close to the Lido waterbus terminal for Linea / route 1, which leads via San Marco along the Grand Canal to the railway station and offers an excellent service. The hotel is in a quiet side-street and is elegantly, tastefully furnished. The staff are friendly and helpful (it helps if you speak Italian, but it's not essential, as reception staff can speak reasonable English and some French), and the rooms are comfortable and clean. Definitely recommended on grounds of cost, location and value for money. The breakfast offered a limited range of options which never varied during our 5-night stay. Rolls were suspiciously hard, suggesting they were fro the day before, and the same three types of jam were offered every day (if you don't like plum, apricot or cherry jam, tough). Butter was in plentiful supply, but no low-fat alternative. Clear improvements could be made here for little extra cost.

The hotel was well located in Venice lido, a short vaporetto ride away from the main tourist attractions and on the vapporetto line leaving straight from out the front of the main train station (takes about one hour from there). The staff were excellent and friendly and the room was reasonably comfortable. The breakfast was also good. The standard room does not come with air conditioning which means that it gets hot when Venice is hot!

The location was great as it is near the beach and a short trip from the main island in Venise, I like the fact that we could park our car in the hotal ground and that it was near public transport and surrounded by restaurants. The room were not really clean, my wife had to clean the bathroom floor as it smelt urine, we had a hotel staff walk into our room at 7.30 in the morning without knocking on our door and while we were still in bed. The room were not sound proof as we could hear conversaations in the next room and the beds were really hard.

It was a nice clean hotel, breakfast was very good, location nice. We were disappointed with some of the front office staff they were not very helpful. When asking for assistance one of the male staff actually told us he was too busy, having other things to do.Other than that was good.

The location could not be faulted. The cleaning staff were very nice and talkative . The desk staff seemed to busy to help you even though they were doing nothing. In our daughters room the bathroom had a distinct smell of urine. The breakfast staff were unpolite.

Staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good value compared to eating outside, but limited choice. Away from the hustle and bustle of Venice, but easy access via vaporetta. Very close to mobile phone transmitter tower.

Excellent location, air conditioned rooms, good sized rooms, internet room, good breakfast. Would recommend the hotel to others. Room was clean and a good size - would benefit from decoration sometime soon and new pictures. English channels on the tv (not just news channels) would be great.

Good sized room with comfortable bed in a useful location on the Lido. Walking distance to waterbus port for easy travel to the main attractions of Venice. Good value for money. Despite calling to book a parking space a few weeks in advance, were charged 5 euros for what is advertised as a 'free space on reservation' because we hadn't booked at the time of reservation on Booking.com! Reception staff need to learn to be more welcoming to their guests, not sigh and state they are busy when we asked questions!!

I liked very much the impecable cleanliness of the rooms, interior decorations with Murano glass and general relaxed and tranquil atmosphere of the hotel. The location was convenient and the price was a good value. Coffee served at breakfast was excellent as well as the pastry. Breakfast selections were monotonous and after a while, boring. More diversity will improve the impression, especially with seasonal fresh fruit selection.

Excellent location down a quiet tree lined street, but only minutes from the water bus to St Marks Square with all the sights of Venice. Also good value for money - breakfast was 5 Euros and we ate outside which was lovely. The hotel staff were very helpful - we would reccommend it.

Good locagtion : 5-7 min walk from vaporette station, 10-15 min walk to Lido beach, 3 min walk to main street with restaurants & shops. Our room was on 3rd floor, with small balcony, spacious enough for 2 adults + 1 child (1 double bed + 1 single bed). Very reasonable price (€ 110 per room per night including buffet breakfast) during summer holiday season.

The clean sheets and towels everyday were lovely. It was very quiet and easily reached from the boats. Lots of snack bars and restaurants close by. Good value for money and would stay there again. Very clean and spacious bathroom. Friends in a room for 2 had a much smaller bathroom but big enough. The outside breakfast area was in need of a good clean and some tlc. Our room had a very unfortunate smell which luckily after spraying with perfume seemed to lessen after a few days.

Liked the outside garden and the close proximity to the shops, bars and restaurants at the Lido. The beach was only a few minutes walk away and breakfast was OK too. Our double room and bathroom were very small and we wish we had booked a larger room.

“We liked the modern design, cleanliness, easy to find location, and very good breakfasts. Going out for dinner was simple as the main area for restaurants was only a 5 minute walk away.
