Very enjoyable..just what we needed...Excellent breakfast.

I booked the room in the afternoon and reached the hotel in the evening. The lady at the reception simply said that the room we got is in their other building and rushed us there. Actually it was a Bed and Breakfast across the piazza that had nothing to do with the hotel. As it was late and we had no other place to stay- we accepted to stay there. Only after I went back to the reception and very politely explained that I had expected something else based on the booking made and price paid- the lady finally said that the price of the B&B would be lower than the hotel(as otherwise she was planning to charge us exactly the same amount; the owner of the B&B knew that as well). Overall, very unpleasant experience.

Beautiful location at the piazza, excellent restaurant with a good breakfast, interesting history and interior, great ambiance

As the rooms were upstairs, the suit cases had to be carried up two stairs, very hot in the room even with a small portable cooling device (would have preferred a simple fan)

We liked the atmosphere of the hotel and the delicious wine and food. Also the location in the Centre of the town.

We didn't like the noisy doors. It's very easy to oil them once in a while.

Location to Chianti region was great, restaurant was also very good. Good option if you are self sufficient, and don't need assistance from the staff. Visit the information center in Greve for help, they were great!

The staff was not very friendly. The manager/owner Rosella was too busy running a restaurant to run a B&B, other than a couple of young servers, the rest of the staff was unfriendly as well.

The Albergo Giovanni Da verrazzano reminded me of the little hotels I stayed in during the early sixties. Just right. The window opening onto the village square. The convenience of coffee and fruit and pastry outside my door and down the steps. I liked the compactness of the room and I felt at home. As if I had been there before.

Perfekt läge vid torget i Greve och mycket bra restaurang. Hyfsad WiFi, fräscha rum och tillmötesgående personal i restaurangen.

Med tanke på Greves tillströmning av turister är det mycket märkligt att personalen på detta hotell talar (och förstår) engelska så dåligt. Jämfört med övriga hotell under en veckas vistelse i Toscana är denna hotellpersonals språkkunskaper under all kritik. Däremot hade resturangpersonalen mycket bättre kunskaper.

Mitt i byn, vid piazzan. Fina omgivningar.

La nostra camera era molto piccola con un letto scomodo e un bagno dove la pulizia lasciava desiderare.

la cortesia del personale, la colazione fatta in casa, la posizione al centro di una piazza incantevole, il parcheggio non c'e' ma la piazza e' piena di posrti auto

mobili un po' datati, porte che scricchiolavano e il pavimento faceva l'eco ad ogni mio passo, come sotto non ci fosse nulla, cosi' ad ogni volta che andavo in bagno pensavo di svegliare tutti...

המקום מדהים, שהינו בבנין המרכזי והיינו היחידים , החדרים נפלאים , גדולים מרווחים ובוהקים מנקיון וכך גם האמבטיה המאובזרת. מהחלון נשקף רק ירוק שקט ורגוע. ארוחת בוקר מוגשת בפאטיו שמשקיף לגן שקט מאוד מסביב, מושלם למי שמחפש מקום מבודד, שקט נוף ירוק ותנאים מעולים.

קשה לתקשר עם בעלת הבית היא אינה דוברת אנגלית.

Tolle Lage direkt am Hauptplatz. Zimmer auf der Rückseite mit Terasse erstaunlich ruhig. Ausgezeichnet gegessen im Restaurant des Hotels.

Mysig atmosfär på detta gamla genuina hotell. bra läge mitt i Greve.

Herrliche Lage, traumhaft. Ein Zimmer mit großem Balkon und idyllischem Ausblick, das andere Zimmer mit Blick auf den zentralen Platz. Personal super, hat ganz reizend den Geburtstags-Frühstückstisch für unsere Tochter gestaltet incl. kostenlosem Geburtstagskuchen mit Kerzen und Happy-Birthday-Ballon! Jederzeit wieder!!!

La posizione. "Al centro del centro":-) Nella posizione più "centrale" della piazza "centrale" di Greve. Una strana piazza, a vero dire, priva di baricentro, che sembra piuttosto un allargarmento della via. Uno slargo. Finanche il monumento a Giovanni da Verrazzano non...è In centro. Comunque suggestiva e, illuminata di sera, veramente un piccolo gioiello. E poi di fronte a Falorni....e non aggiungo altro così chi "ignora" farà una scoperta di quelle che "valgono il viaggio".

Nulla. Forse l'impossibilità di posteggiare, ma questo ormai vale per qualunque albergo in posizione centrale e poi soprattutto in piccoli paesi tipo Greve o Castellina in Chianti. Il sabato mattina poi nella piazza c'è il mercato (per chi ama il genere) ma è il mercato più silenzioso del mondo, perché io, pur avendo le finestre sulla piazza, non ne sono stata minimamente disturbata e credo che abbiano cominciato alle 6. In ogni caso, se qualcuno avesse un sonno particolarmente leggero, che si porti dei tappi di cera per le orecchie. Aggiungo anche che c'è più di un posteggio gratuito a pochi metri dall'albergo, non essendo Greve Manhattan le distanze sono veramente minime!!!! :-))))

La cucina era molto raffinata e buona e la posizione davvero splendida. Colazione ottima.

Gostei muito da localização.
