Offering panoramic views of Lake Como, Hotel Fioroni is in Bellagio, 320 yards from the lake shore and the historic center. It provides free parking and rooms with free internet.
Score from 458 reviews Very good
The Hotel Nuovo Miralago overlooks Lake Como in the heart of Bellagio, a 10-minute walk from the dock for boat trips across the lake. It features both rooms and apartments.
Score from 467 reviews Excellent
We stayed in the apartment right in the centre of town. Location was fantastic, huge deck overlooking the water.
We had breakfast included so that meant we had to get picked up every morning at a designated time which was annoying. The staff at breakfast were grumpy and always arguing with each other and we had to ask for more food as it would run out and not be replaced! No washing machine in apartment.
Fantastic view, balcony Restaurant Nice staff Free parking
Nice hotel, convenient location, friendly staff, great value for your money.
Excellent dining room experience. We stayed in the self catering annex which was lovely with plenty of room and somewhere to sit outside.
Nothing really except there was a wedding which went on quite late and so it was not possible to use the bar facilities and the hotel is not near anywhere else for a pre dinner drink.
It was spacious comfortable clean and everything you could want. The staff picked us up and took us to breakfast when we asked. The breakfast buffet was delicious especially the fresh orange juice! Everyone was friendly and professional.
Logging into wifi was a minor annoyance.
Modern hotel with beautiful views. Great breakfast with fresh squeezed orange juice. Very helpful staff especially Monica who gave us wonderful suggestions for our itinerary.
staff especially Albert.location good view was good
no fridge, noisy in room near kitchen breakfast the same every day
Upon arrival the staff were very helpful and informative about the area and gave us maps etc. the first evening we had an excellent meal in the restaurant great views of the lake. Lovely breakfast.
We stayed in the annex which was great for parking and having a kitchen but it was a 10 minute walk to the hotel, fine so long as it's not raining!
The apartment is great and as presented in the advertising. One of our group needed medical treatment and the staff were really helpful in organising taxis to and from the hospital.
Wonderful place to stay, very professional staff. The restaurant was great, the owner fishes every night for the daily catch. What a great view!
Front staff were very helpful even packed us a beautiful breakfast for our early morning departure. Dined at Silvio Restaurant, spectacular views and lovely food.
Room not cleaned properly, hair on bathroom floor, toilet seat kept falling off and empty glasses not taken away.
The staff are very approachable and very willing to answer any questions about Lake Como when asked. They even volunteer information. Staff serving at breakfast are courteous too!
View from dining room was excellent. Breakfast quite good with numerous choices. Staff was curteous. Quiet for sleeping.
The shower door was broken both nights and water spilled into bathroom. We did alert them but no change. No curtains in our room, blind broken. We were told to use shutters. Others had everything but we didn't. The dinner was not as good as expected. Fish very dry both nights. We were surprised that the walk time town was a bit perilous with no sidewalks( our ignorance) so we didn't go into town at night . They did provide a shuttle service , I believe.
Fantastic staff, everything was perfect, the room we had was an roof flat with an fantastic veiw over Lago di Como. Don´t forget to test there exellent resturant.
Litille bit tricky to park the car, hilly area.
The Silvio hotel's location gives it's guests beautiful views of Lake Como and is conveniently located just minutes from the lovely Villa Mellzi garden. The hotel provides a convenient, complimentary shuttle service for the 5min ride to and from the centre of Bellagio. They also have a beautiful patio and bar area, partially covered by grape vines where you can enjoy wine and dinner.
The room was quite small even for me and my girlfriend, and we are not large people! Both of us, 5'5" and 125lbs. The bathroom, also tiny, had little to no room for our toiletries. Had the service been exceptional I could have overlooked the physical challenges of a small room and bath. Unfortunately, the staff seemed less than interested in attending to the needs of the guests. The front desk staff were very competent and friendly, but the dining room staff seemed at times to be overwhelmed with serving and setting up for breakfast. Guests should be acknowledged immediately and offered tea or coffee as they sit down to their table. This was not done. In fact, on one occasion, the servers were enjoying a cigarette break just outside the dining area while breakfast diners were looking around for someone to take their beverage order. Not a good way to treat your guests. Overall, I believe the serving staff were simply not up to the task of meeting the basic needs of their dining guests. However, the quality of the food was excellent! The restaurant is well known for their local fish dishes and they were superb! If the hotel were able to sharpen their customer service skills, particularly in the dining room, they would be far more competitive with the higher star rated hotels.
Food, service all excellent next time we will book the room with the full view and stay longer
Our room was a bit on the small side but had a balcony with wonderful views over lake Como. The staff very helpful, they have a shuttle service down the hill to Bellagio but you can also walk through the beautiful garden below the hotel.
Not a criticism of the hotel but the road in & out of Bellagio is not for the faint-hearted, very narrow & winding along the lake shore. Definately worth the drive though.
Superb views and location. The staff were brilliant, offering good advice about local attractions and also drove us into Bellagio on a couple of occasions. The hotels resturant offered great food and views to die for. The hotel is about a 10 min walk downhill to Bellagio which meant an uphill slog to get home, but atleast gave you an opportunity to work off a few calories. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel as a great base to explore Lake Como and the surrounding towns.
The staff were extremely helpful and kind. The views are amazing at the hotel and the restaurant is fabulous! Would stay again for sure!
Shower had great pressure but was "extremely" small. We had one of the loft rooms, maybe the other rooms are better.
Great location, staff went out of their way to be helpful and were full of useful advise as to the best places to visit. Handy shuttle bus at no extra cost to the local town and back (easy walking distance)
Dinner - resturant at location location of property Staff
Get a belcony room - not a side room - No sidewalks and hard to park if have a car
Away from the crowds of town, yet close enough to enjoy the shops, wine bars and restaurants. Food in the restaurant was outstanding and the service a 10+.
I wish I had booked a few more days at this hotel.
Modern, immaculate, extremely helpful and friendly front desk staff. Good breakfasts. Lovely restaurant with beautiful lake views. Room also had a balcony with a lake view. Hot water for tea, coffee in room.
A little inconvenient for going into town--too long a walk for us. We might stay in Bellagio if we were to go again.
Hotel is in a quiet location, 10-15 minute walk to the center of town. Hotel has parking in front of hotel or up the hill at another lot across the street. Grassy area across the street from the hotel that you can use to walk your dog - even a trash can/doggy poop bag area. Hotel offers a free daily shuttle every two hours from 0900 to 2030. To use the shuttle any other time (an off time) you must arrange it with the hotel and it costs 5 euros.
You have to walk the main road against or with traffic (no sidewalk) to get to town. You can walk through the gardens (Vila something) but you have to pay 6.50 euro and 4 euros each day after that. The gardens close around 6 p.m. so you have to walk back in the dark (some street lamps).
Things I want from a hotel include a comfy bed, a quiet room and a good shower the Silvio had all of these. The reception staff were very nice and the breakfast was of a good standard. Previous reviewers had complained about the room size but we felt it was more than adequate if you are actually planning on spending your holiday exploring the lake.
The only thing which let's the hotel down is the location up the hill with no path on the road into town. We were fine with it and actually found it a good 5k run route from the hotel to the tip of bellagio but I can imagine that if you had kids you would not want to stay here unless you had a car. The shuttle service is a good option but is not really frequent enough returning from the town.
