Friendly staff at reception, all speak English. Very clean. Nice and cosy breakfast. Location is top, only 400m from train station and within the centre everything is on walking distance. We had a room in the side building (Diana), and it was extremely quiet there. We only heard birds and some people talking in their gardens. Very good insulation in room (double glass, curtains, 'volets'). Room was spacious and nicely decorated. Good beds and pillows. Good shower. I absolutely recommend this hotel.

Nothing. Wifi does not reach the side building, but that was not important to me. You can log in at the reception in the main building.

The location is centrally located(albiet off the beaten path)to many of Lucca's tourist attractions.

The staff was business-like,efficient and professional.However,they seemed distant rather than friendly and almost aloof.

friendly and most helpful staff. Even though it was difficult to get to by car, staff were most helpful in organising car parking. Breakfast was very nice.

The location was excellent,right in the heart of the walled city.The staff were friendly and very helpfull and the accomadation was very comfortable.

Parking nearby was a bit expensive at 15 euro a night.

The hotel is in a great location on aq quiet side street within the historic centre, yet close to the rail station. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was excellent.

The pillows were very thin and hard.

The hotel was in a great position, we arrived by train and so on leaving the station we crossed the main road into the walled city. The hotel was approx ten mins walk from the station and tucked down a little side street which was so quiet.

Excellent site very close to city centre but in quiet location. Room simply but comfortably furnished with super high-class bathroom. Good breakfasts. Staff friendly and helpful. Altogether a value for money city break that we thoroughly enjoyed. Definitely a hotel we would recommend and revisit.

We liked the quiet, central location in the older part of Lucca, and the friendly atmosphere of this family-run small hotel. It is ideally placed for exploring the city.

The lack of a lift, meaning that luggage had to be taken up two flights of stairs. The owner did, however, carry our heavier case up for us. The hotel does not have any car-parking and the public parking is some distance away.

The service is very good. The rooms are confortable and very nice.The breakfast is excellent. The location is perfect (center city of Lucca)

The staff were lovely, the location perfect, and the buffet breakfast was very yummy.

Too hot in the rooms: the air conditioning was working only at certain times of the day as per the paper that we had in our bedroom, but in reality even during those times it wasn't working well. The outside temperature reached 35°c and it was simoly too hot inside our room all of the time. If the air conditioning system were properly done and managed the hotel would have been perfect for us.

Some stairs exist but they would not deter us from coming again.

Very clean, great location, quiet for sleeping, nice staff, good buffet breakfast - we really enjoyed it. We had 2 interconnecting rooms with toilet so managed to have privacy from kids too! Great spot!

Nice situation close to the station but quiet. Very good breakfast (served from 8am).

Our room had a small bathroom where a six-foot man could not sit on the toilet. We were there in an unusually hot spell for June but the air conditioning is only on at certain times of the day - for example, it switches off at midnight. Despite these disadvantages, we still enjoyed our stay.

Convenient location just inside the walls, within walking distance of the train station. The hotel is on a quiet street, the staff are friendly, speak English and the rooms are very clean, comfortable, bright and decorated with contemporary art by local artists. There's a nice buffet breakfast available including fresh baking (apple torte especially tasty), cheeses, fruit, cereals, juices, yogurt, coffee, tea etc. They also offer gluten free options. By the time you get back to your room after breakfast your room has been cleaned! There are numerous restaurants in the area and a great gelateria cross the street from Chrono Bikes. You'll want to rent a bike while you're in Lucca and Chrono Bikes is only a block away and the provide well maintained city, mountain and racing bikes. I highly recommend Albergo San Martino!

This is an excellent small hotel with great rooms and very friendly and attentive staff. We'd stay there again in a heartbeat. Great buffet breakfast

The hotel is very well situated for exploring Lucca. The staff were extemely helpful and pleasant.
