Trains through the night
If you plan to visit Cinque Terre by train, this would be the ideal hotel. It is just 100m from the train station. Otherwise, it is a basic, no thrill, clean hotel. If offered a good continental breakfast as the package. The hotel is run by its owner who is not particularly warm, but not unfriendly. When I check into the hotel it was late at night and was greeted by a tall, muscular young man in tee-shirts. I thought for a moment this hotel could have been run by the underworld. However, this gentleman turn out to be quite gentle and is the son of the owner. When I got to the floor where my room is, the corridor was very dark with a couple of night lights on. It turns out that one has to turn the lights at the corridor on and it will turn itself off in a couple of minutes as a way of saving energy. Once I got to understand the idiosyncrasy, than I felt comfortable. The greatest asset of this hotel is it's location, can't beat it. It is also quite close to the main walking/pedestrian street where you will find many restaurants and shops. Overall, a very good value for money.

Couple of minutes to train station and centre of La Spezia. Very convenient and great to explore 5 Terre from. Clean and comfortable. Relaxed atmosphere. Friendly staff.
Close to railway station
Easy access to the rail station; I made 3 rail trips plus visits to buy tickets
Breakfast rather basic.
Proximity of train station
This was just a quick overnight for us on the way to the Cinque Terre. Very convenient just a few minutes walk from the train station.
Close to the train, no noise it was a very quiet hotel. the breakfast was really nice. A small balcony from our room. The bathroom was good with plenty of hot water. The piazza was 70 metres away in the other direction so plenty of places to eat at. a pretty walk to the port a 20 minute dawdle. Easy to get to Cinnique Terre by train for the day.
The lift wasn't working. The room was small but adequate. Limited English skills but not really an issue.
Was certainly comfortable, however there were problems with the staff who didn't understand English. We wanted to pay upon arrival because we would be leaving very early the next day. There was however an excellent and relatively inexpensive restaurant next door with a great menu, good wines and an outdoor patio.
Language problem. Sleeping was difficult because room was facing train station, but earplugs solve that problem.
The hotel is very close to the train station and to the city center.
The elevator smelled badly and there are sounds of water from the other rooms that was almost unberable, woke up every night because of that.
Good view from our top room Opening window
Wifi didn't work on level three, had to sit in stairwell Breakfast was basic
Close to railway station, good breakfast, clean.
Small and poor room, bit far from the sea.
good sized room
staff could have been friendlier. helping patrons is more important than watching tv in reception. poor wifi
Beds were okay, location was convenient, shower is good.
Wifi was unreliable in the room, fine in the lobby.
Great location near train station Dark and quiet room for good sleeping. Comfortable bed Breakfast
Reception staff (during day) not in a good mood Not very good parking, although sufficient.
Good location, clean, comfortable, wi-fi is available
Near the train station, so you can hear trains noise during the night
Location, but very difficult to find through navigator. A parking space was reserved in front of the hotel for us. Parking is impossible there
The room was nice and air worked well but the building smelled of cigarete smoke, everyone in Italy smokes and the room was a non smoking room so it wasn't as noticable in the room. This room is good for 1 night stay not several days visit.
Convenient location to station.
Very unfriendly reception staff. Booked room with a/c, but received room without a/c and windows facing the noisy train tracks. Staff only admitted mistake after complaint. Suspicious looking people hanging around in foyer at night.
The hotel is just 100 meters from the train station. Very quite and clean. Staff is friendly. Safe parking for bikers.
My room no air condition.
Great location! It is just down from the train station so good to go into the villages of Cinque Terre. It is about a 10-15 minute walk to the harbour to catch a ferry to other locations such as Portovenere. I was on the third floor and the wifi worked quite well. The room was small but comfortable for one. It was cleaned daily.
The gentlemen at the front desk wasn't overly friendly and didn't provide much information. My room was meant to have air conditioning but it didn't and was quite hot as my stay was in the summer. The breakfast is very basic- croissant, biscuit toast and spreads and yogurt and a few cereals. Some fruit would've been nice.
Very nice room. Clean. Classy. Nice personell, but they do not speak much english. near train station. Near center. near very good restaurant called Pizzeria Pomodoro di Traggiai
easy access and smooth booking and payment. no restrictions of time arrivals
old place, tv with one channel and the most retro remote control that I've never saw in my life. bed not comfy single open bed to converted in "double"
nice room with view. quite when windows closed good breakfast so close to station ,just roll your luggage down hill
