Extremely helpful staff Very good hotel, to be recommended

Hotel is close to teatre Massimo and downtown of Palermo

Owner is liar. They gave me dark room. There was no window and fresh air. And also there was no WiFi in the room. only the breakfast area. Be careful especially if you are alone.

Great location. Close to centre and also close to old Palermo. 7 min walk from airport bus stop. As a solo traveller it was important to me that I felt safe in the area, as hotel is located on the main street. Friendly staff. Helped with city maps and advice. Clean rooms. Sweet, but very good breakfast, excellent cappuchino. Would definetly stay again if was in Palermo.

Hotel room were clean, nicely decorated, having good bathrooms and balconies and nice staff. I was scared by seeing that there will be only ADSL connection but later on found that it has wifi connectivity as well which is not mentioned in hotel description.

The only problem is that in the night its noisy being on main road. may be windows in rooms need improvement to make it sound proof.

Manager very cooperative and helpful in arranging room in another hotel, walking me there, and transferring missing suitcase when it finally arrived.

Long marble steps to 3rd floor reception, added steps to room with no elevator for handicapped person.. Room and bed very small. Kept hitting my head on wall. Telephone and reception not available at night to get extra blanket for cold room.

This is a budget hotel that provides the basics well. It is centrally located right by the Teatro Massimo which makes it walking distance to all sights.

Missed a comfy chair in the roon to relax in after a days sightseeing.

Totally helpful without a word of English! We waved hands, consulted a guide book for phrases and with infinite patience we found everything went well.

Central located in the old town of Palermo (right accross Teatro Massimo), this hotel offers good value for money. You need to know that the reception is on the first floor but definitely not hard to find.

Although the hostess does not speak English at all, she explains herself well enough to make clear she wants you to know (f.e. using images to point out the Palermo highlights). Furthermore, the room is a littlebit noisy.

Location is excellent, the room and bathroom is clean and big enough.

Staff did not speak English but it was not a problem.

I think I have said it all in my evaluation above The breakfast was amazingly excellent for the price..pastries, fresh fruit, yogourt, coffe made to choice and it was not until I left that I turned to see all the other stuff on a table that was available..juice .toasts..jam..butter... and even rice crackers the staple for gluten intolerant people. I hope the price does not up because of all the good things I have said!

Do not be put off by the very informal attire (saturday morning at home attire when I was there!) of the homely motherly type receptionist. The only draw back with this hotel was its access. The hotel is on the first hotel so the two flights of stairs so carrying luggage up to the reception area with a heavy case and quite heavy cabin size bag was not easy.( I am 65) I finally arrived and knew I was not really fit or needed to join a gym which I have always avoided! Luckily when taking a taxi to the airport the next day the drive appeared and carried my luggage down to the taxi..Whew!

We really found the location ideal. Although it didn't include breakfast, the cafe in the piazza opposite was terrific. Just down the narrow street below was fantastic trattoria. Bus to airport just up the road...

Hotel Verdi was an excellent find. The chap who was staffing when we arrived was a superb host, friendly, very informative, very welcoming. The location is very central within easy reach of all tourist attractions and shops, an excellent choice if travelling with older children as I was as walking home at night requires a central safe location. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Hotel Verdi to anyone.

ingresso al primo piano con scale (36 scalini un po ripidi),non portate valige pesanti. chiedere le stanze con gli infissi nuovi per dormire meglio nel rumore di palermo

La posizione ottima. Gentilezza del personale. Camera e bagno adeguato.

La stanza, per mia scelta, si affacciava sulla strada ed era un po rumorosa. Le persone dello staff erano fumatori quindi si sentiva negli spazi comuni odore di fumo.

la stanza assegnatemi è una delle quattro a non avere i doppi infissi e la posizione su una strada trafficata rende il riposo problematico

Ottima posizione, confortevole, pulito. Il personale alla reception molto cortese è disponibile nel consigliare itinerari nella città.

Sono stata sistemata nella camera N.109, molto piccola,l'unica finestra si affaciava nel pozzo buio con cativo odore. Aveva paura di aprire la finestra che enrassero animali.Di notte non si potevo respirare, cosi non ho dormito e ho visto degli scarafaggi che passavano per terra nella stanza.Sono alzata la mattina presto e sono andata via a fare una passagiata. Quando sono arrivata a casa ho controllato tutti le mie cose in modo di evitare a portare a casa degli scarafaggi. Era stanca e distrutta. Ho pagato 40 euro non rimborsabile, senza collazione inclusa (che io non vorrei ne anche fare in quel posto). Si potrebbe anche avvisare che la scala ripida e troppo difficile per le persone con I problemi motorie
