Fresh bed linen every day was great and a good location The hotel is very tired and needs major investment, the breakfast room is horrible as is the breakfast, the sugar shaker was chained to the table, and the garden is very overgrown, I imagine that ten years ago this hotel would have been great......but not now |

Nice and friendly staff. Good price. Breakfast better than average in Italy. Noisy street. Spider webs and dust on the walls. Garden is not as special as it looks in pictures. Good 20 min from the center. |

It was very conveniently located to reach most of the major attractions of the city - we could walk everywhere. Parking was difficult - even though there was parking available nearby, there was no place to stop to unload luggage and find out where this parking garage was. We had to drive around and find someplace on our own. It would be better to take the train to the city and stay at this hotel. |

The staff were so helpful and friendly. The hotel had charm and character. The breakfast was very nice--especially the scrambled eggs (uova strappazatte) which were delicate and flavorful--and the fact that you could take it out to the garden to eat was just lovely. It was walking distance to the train station, and Sita bus station, and near many bus stops. There was a charge for internet service |

Garden, breakfast good, character establishment with good rates. Very noisy road with construction and buses, fair walk to station, not as close as seems on map. |

Comfortable beds, large room, nice terrace, good location, friendly service. entrance from the 4 feet wide "street"; an elevator that built in the old building is the scariest place I have ever been. |

Great, friendly staff including owners running this hotel make your stay a pleasure. The house itself is a villa with ambience. Really recommend it. |

The location was central to the city; the ambiance of the hotel was beautiful...azalea gardens in bloom, charming outside space, tastefully apponted rooms, nice breakfast space, excellent friendly service, nearby secure/covered private parking (for a reasonable fee). |

Staff was very nice and helpful. The hotel is in a very high traffic area. It was very noisy. The internet desk is not very comfortable. It should be placed on a desk. |

Great location, especially if you have a car or travel by train. Nice deco and atmosphere. Clean, spacious room, nice bathroom, good breakfast. Generally great and a definite value for money, we will stay again there. The internet spot of the hotel is nice but we found it a bit expensive. If the hotel could add a wi-fi network it would really reach perfection. Plus there is no elevator, not that we cared much... |

A hotel with character and within walking distance of all main attractions in florence. Wonderful walled garden. If you want a hotel that is more in keeping of the old villa type of italian building and not some square grey modern hotel then this is the place to stay. It may not be modern but it has a charm of its own that is hard to find. |

Elegant, luxurious, simply magnificent! We stayed at more than 15 hotels on this trip to Europe. This was the very best. The four star hotels we stayed at can not even began to compared. This should be classified as a five star hotel. It is a mansion with red carpet leading you to your room. No elevator, but the hotel staff was very helpful in helping us with our luggage upstair. |

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean. The choice at breakfast was good. The little garden area is charming The hotel is on a noisy corner where buses are constantly stopping. This is ok as long as the windows are shut. |
