Situated on Sant’Angelo’s peninsula, right by the port and overlooking Maronti Beach, one of the best on Ischia, Hotel Conte has the sea on both sides. It is located in a pedestrian area.
Score from 114 reviews Very good
Nice view, and nice room. Owner quite friendly.
Owner is very enthusiastic but not very helpful. Public transportation is not reliable. If you don't have a car, prepare to spend lot of time on waiting for buses.
Location to the beach was either a 15 minutes walk down the hill or a 3 -5 min drive (I was by car). The bus stops right outside the entrance but that doesn't disturb sleeping since the rooms are located in the back. Internet was indeed available in the rooms and the rooms had modern decoration (just as on the photos). However, all chairs are upholstered wih white materials, which show stains (probably from drinks or simply from beachware left on them wet). Staff spoke limited English but understood each other just enough. They even gave good recommendation for a nearby restaurant which indeed was excellent (both view and dishes). Breakfast was the same as everywhere else in Italy (toast, sweet pastries, jam, juice, coffee, basic cereal) and so I didn't expect more than what they offered. But be aware its not like in continental EU (no-where in Italy). I would stay here again. Good value for the price.
Only has 3 parking places and ao if not a available parking is on the street which is limited and might also be a bit of walk (but at least parking on the street is free)
Laid back, homely feel, off the touristy part (southern part of island), charismatic village nearby, incredible view, perfect for a couple of days -ideal for vital people who like to walk/explore island by bus (stops in front of hotel) or car - the beach is a 15-min walk straight downhill BUT a 3-min bus ride
-it might be too calm and isolated for some young travelers who aim everything within 5-min reach - a/c needs refurbishment
We spent 5 nights in this great place. Staff was nice and helpful. It was 15 minutes walk downhill to beach and we took a bus to go back (when we felt lazy). The beach is the nicest on Ischia. Breakfast was good. Rooms were good size. Our friends were having honeymoon and got very nice room with sea view. There are restaurants around and also supermarket.
This is a very well curated place. Value for money is great. It is not straight at the beach which is actually a plus. Incredibly quiet room.
A/C needs to be refurbished soon.
Lovely owners very welcoming, beautiful sea view room. Close enough to beach staff all so kind.
Nothing Really they were so nice maybe the breakfast could have some cereal. Tv difficult to work.
Family hotel with big rooms and great service. Good breakfast and rooms.
WiFi is a bit laggy, ask to restart router when you have problems. Hotel is far from beach and see signs. You have to use bus to go there.
Price was good and room was clean.
No Internet, even though my phone showed that it was available, as they would only give us the downstairs password. There were two upstairs signals but no one could or would give us the passwords. My son does Internet school so we switched to the Hotel Terme Raphael across the way. It was twice the price, but included two big meals, free rides to beach, pools, and much more. If your budget is truly tight and you want to stay in this area, the Albergo Villa Giusto seems good- especially if you have a car.
• wonderful views of the sea from our room • very comfortable bed •great size shower, hot water • very clean room, bathroom • good breakfast • very personable hosts and helpful sharing information about sites to see • overall, we will return and would recommend to friends
internet was not strong, but that is more about italy than Villa Giusto
Cleanliness, location, price
Breakfast undersized comparing to all the other services
