The location is excellent. It sits right besides the Pantheon. You will likely have an excellent view of that magnificent 1900 YO building. The hotel is extremely central and walkable to all of the key sites in Rome. After recent renovations, the hotel is also very luxurious. It is a bit noisy if you have a room next to the alley because sounds from moped and cars just travel straight up the alley.

I was traveling with my 17 year old daughter and we both loved the hotel. The staff was incredibly helpful in a variety of ways and always made us feel very welcome. I had written ahead that we would be arriving on an early flight from the States and we were able to check in before 11:00. They apologized that our room was not immediately available! We loved being in Piazza della Rotonda - a vibrant and fun square with great people watching, street performers and, of course, the Pantheon. We were equidistant between the Vatican and the Colosseum and walked to both locations. We stayed in two different rooms since we left for a few days in the middle of the trip. Both rooms were immaculate and had great bathrooms. The second room we had was in the back of the hotel and was very quiet. Our first room was on the side toward the front and we could hear all the goings-on in the Piazza if we left the window open - might be noisy for some folks. We would definitely recommend it.

The location is superb. The Pantheon and the Piazza outside of the Hotel create an ideal image of classic Rome. A surprise then that the Hotel fully measured up to the challenge of its setting. A classy but very friendly Boutique Hotel.

The location is great for those (like us) who want to look out their window onto a charming Italian piazza. Go ahead, pony up the extra cash and ask for a room with the view. Throw open the shutters--Pantheon, fountain, horse-drawn carriages. Sweetie, are we in Rome or what! :-) The hotel is classy/comfortable, the personnel are friendly and helpful, the pedestrian heart of Rome is all around you. You are unlikely to be sorry if you chose this hotel. We had a lovely stay. Minor quibbles: Their are better locations if you want instant access to public transportation. The Metro, tram and major bus routes are a few minutes walk from the hotel due to the quaint, narrow, brick-cobble streets (that's why you chose this place, remember?) being closed off to major traffic and, for the most part, to public transportation. Taxis do have access, though. Second quibble; breakfast. It is not bad, mind you. It has (almost) all the basics you tend to find being served in European hotels. Cold cuts, cheese slices, fresh rolls, scrambled eggs, bacon, muesli, yoghurt etc. But I must acknowledge that I have frequently found more interesting and varied breakfasts in hotels costing less in many other cities. Specifically, there were no eggs other than the scrambled variety, no hot meats other than bacon, no fresh squeezed juice and no variation from day to day. Picky, picky! :-) I only mention it to be thorough.

Excellent, attentive and friendly staff. Fantastic location - Pantheon right outside the front door, Trevi fountain a 5 minute walk, Colloseum 20-25 mins on foot but plenty to see on the way.

The staff was very helpful, friendly and accomodating. They offered us a selection of a larger room, or a smaller room wtih a super view! We chose the room with the view and it was absolutely perfect! The location of Albergo del Senato could not be better-easy walk to all major attractions. Fabulous eating establishments very close!! Great place to stay and enjoy ROMA.

Located right next door to the Pantheon, location is central to all Rome tourist sites, allowing you to walk everywhere! Throw in gracious hotel staff, clean rooms big enough for an extra bed for our teenage son and breakfast each morning. Of course being close to some of the best gelato (Geolitti and Del Parma) made it that much better. Even facing the Pantheon, no noise issues as the Pantheon closes around 8pm and the rooms seem fairly sound proof with the windows closed.

Great staff, great location. Aircon not operating and I was too hot. It wasn't possible to open the window because of the noise from the square, although I then tried earplugs, which worked well.

My husband and I were extremely pleased with Albergo del Senato. We truly loved our entire experience in Rome. It was even made better by the accommodations at the hotel and most of all our view from our room of the Pantheon.
