Hotel Italia is a charming 20-minute walk from Siena's Piazza del Campo. In summer, enjoy free access to a nearby swimming pool and tennis court.

very bed poor breakfast, doors are noisy with no sound isolation and you hear every door in the corridor that opens or closes, when you take a shower the water is all around the bathroom the window in the bathroom is awful!
I would have no hesitation in recommending Albergo Cannon d'Oro to family and friends; some things in particular - location (couldn't ask for better); friendliness and helpfulness of staff; internet connectivity; bathroom facilities.
Nothing really comes to mind.
breakfast scandalously awful (no decent coffee, no decent fruitjuice, not much to eat ...
Perfect location - comfortable and clean room
It's location not far to reach all the local attractions and amenities.
breakfast, not a lot of choice and plastic serving bowls.
Location and quietness.
Size of the room.
could be a little noisy.. from outside but also from inside as the corridors were not carpeted and the door locks were noisy. I really tried hard to not make a noise when opening my door but it echoed through the corridor.
Budget hotel close to centre and bus station. Provides what you would expect for this type of hotel - plain but clean.
very hard bed extremely plain look of the room
Comfortable bed. 24 hour desk Central location
Very noisy. I needed to get ear plugs. The breakfast was a bit disappointing. I couldn't drink the coffee.
It's a basic hotel but offers friendly staff who prepared a breakfast for us on the day we left because we were leaving before the breakfast opened. Facilities are basic but when you're busy travelling that's not a big problem.
Not really a dislike, just a comment to be prepared for a very basic room. But the friendliness of the staff and the view make up for it.
The location and cleanliness were both excellent. Also some of the night staff were very friendly and helpful.
On arrival with our suitcases there was no lift and we were told that we had to bring our suitcases up ourselves. We would have appreciated some help to get them to the second floor. Also there were two men around the check in at the time, Our room was north facing and cold despite very good weather outside. The milk jug was chipped and re-appeared each day.
Location and price. Friendly service. Just know that if you want to be in the city - they stay up all night and you might too.
Had toilet problem which they fixed quickly. Breakfast was instant coffee and packaged rolls.
Good and convenient location at the center. Hotel room is spacious and clean.
no wifi signal at room. wifi only available at lobby
Walking out the front door and instantly being in the middle of everything.
The very poor choice breakfast was available in a tiny airless basement. A fan was there but the attendant got cross when we asked her to turn it on!
Central position. Ideal for visitors without a car. Very near to the bus station from which you can catch an express bus to Florence which takes 1 hour 10 mins and is definitely better than driving there.
Breakfast was just OK. Car parking was the problem. Long walk from the public car park which was free. You can get the car to near the hotel but the narrow streets make that very difficult.
The staff and cleanliness of the place.
Central location. Big rooms, helpful staff. Decent breakfast. Clean and comfortable.
Parking is a bit of a pain but that would be the same with any hotel based in the old city.
The location is great. Cannot be beat. For a young, energetic couple, this might be for you. I have lived in Europe for 14 years, so this kind of hotel would have been great before kids, not after when you have a lot of stuff to haul.
Upon arrival, the man behind the counter's attitude was poor. When I walked in, I confirmed the booking and the request of a baby cot/bed as per the website. He said 'no' and that it never mentioned it on the site, as well as wifi. Those 2 items were the main reason for hotel selection. Upon arrival, neither were true. My husband went in after me and asked to see the room. The man was irritated that he asked, wanted to why he wanted to see it. My husband looked at the room, the small size, the way another bed for the 5 yr old was not in there, much less no room to move + no wifi, he came down and said "Thanks, but I don't think this will work." The man said, "So you aren't going to take the room?", turned to the younger man behind the counter, and started going off to him in Italian about me and my husband right in front of him. My husband muttered something and walked out. Thank goodness I had only booked that day and was not charged to my credit card. Also note, no elevator in this tall, skinny hotel. (We went right around the corner to the NH Exelsior, go the same rate, huge clean room, fast wifi, huge breakfast buffet, single bed for little girl, baby crib, family room, and service so good we stayed an extra night.)
Location and strong wi fi.
No hair dryer.
Hotel located perfectly. Breakfast is normal. Free parking is available in a 10-minute walk.
for picky people are not very clean
Location was excellent on the main route to the Campo. The staff were very helpful and very professional. Rooms were clean and functional. Wifi was consistent and easy to use.
Breakfast was rather basic
The location was very central and the directions easy to understand despite being in the pedestrian area. Staff very friendly and happy to help, gave advice on where to eat and what to expect in the city. The following day offered to store lugagge to give us more time in the city
Difficult to understand the parking restrictions would have been good to be sent directions for best parking area prior to arrival.
rooms are clean, location of hotel is excellent - right in the city centre, very friendly staff
breakfast is poor quality, I prefered going to a local bar nearby, room furniture is rather old
I enjoyed a pleasant weekend in this lovely city. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the location is perfect for walking around the city. Very central to lots of activities and stores.
It is difficult to find this place if using a GPS which tries to take you through restricted areas of the city - best to look carefully at a map in advance. The only other concern is that the breakfast room become full during peak time so you may have to wait. But Siena, a lovely town, is worth the wait!
