Our room, # 54, on the ground floor, opened right onto the local bus stop, with sign posts between our window and the beautiful San Domenico church...negating the view. Also, all the conversations at the bus stop could be heard in our room. A room on the ground floor away from the bus stop would be OK, as would a higher one even at the bus stop, or one on the back of the building (unless there is an event at the stadium!). The room itself was very pleasant and nicely furnished.
The location within Siena's walls, but not in the restricted driving zone, so we could drive to our hotel to offload and reload bags. The building is attractive, inside and out. The staff is pleasant and efficient. Breakfast was terrific. It is a short walk to the Campo, center of the Siena scene.
