The room was smaller than it looked in the pictures, and there was no a/c since it was technically fall there, but it still got very muggy/warm at night. Also the stairs leading up to the hotel. My god. They need a bell you can ring to get someone to come help you with your luggage. I got about halfway up the stairs with two 50 pound suitcases before I nearly collapsed and someone came running down to help, and that was just by chance that they heard me. No bueno.
I stayed at Conca d' Oro for three nights during the very low season so I got a pretty good deal. The hotel is located a short 10 minute walk to downtown, but there are stunning views and cute little shops along the way, so it's actually very pleasant. The view from my room was absolutely incredible. Sitting out in the balcony in the morning and at night was an amazing way to start and end the day. The free breakfast buffet in the morning included a nice variety of meats, cheeses, pastries, fruit, and plenty of fresh juices. More than enough to keep you going until lunch. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Overall, a very nice experience.
