We got very disappointed to discover that what we booked as a 4 star hotel in reality is not even 3 star... I would say perhaps 2 star at most... Absolutely everything is extremely old and outdated - cratched walls, moulded bathroom tiles, rusted towel rails, furniture - just a few pieces and so old, scratched and ugly that you keep wondering what garage sale they got it from... Breakfast is very basic as well.

Absolutely Awesome! The room was incredible! Exceeded expecations! The staff was helpful and friendly and quick to respond to any request. The breakfast was super! Just made Florence special! Just an absolutely delightful stay. We would not hesitate to stay there again.

Lovely hotel, excellent staff, great location in center of Florence

There was street noise as in any downtown hotel. Tourists abound in Florence,

Polite Staff. Delux room was comfortable and spacious. Kettle with Coffe/tea etc tray and fresh milk on demand. English speaking. Were pleased with baggage collection and also upon leaving due to the amount of steps.

The hotel is above a designer shop. On the hotel write-up it states there are a couple of entrance steps. In fact there are 29 curved at the top steps to climb. Then a lift to a narrow reception on the next floor. We ourselves were ok but this is misrepresentation and would not be kind for the very elderly. All internet out of order during Christmas stay.

The location was excellent, in the heart of things. Within 10-15 minutes walk we could get to museums, restaurants and other side of the River. Staff very helpful. The room was comfortable and very clean and the Continental breakfast was extremely good. We would have no hesitation recommending the hotel to friends.

The stairs could be challenging for people with any sort of mobility problems.

The location it was in the middle of shopping street and close to everything, but bear in mind that Florence is a small city that you could easily access to every monuments by walking around 20 minutes

First, you need to climb around 15 stairs to get to the lift then the lift stops at first floor which was the reception area which was a pain in the neck as the lift stops in the 1th floor every time we used it.The lift was very cramped (at most for 3 persons). Our room was quite hot, so I do not recommend this hotel particularly in summer time. The breakfast was awfully poor.the staff were not attentive.

Great location, great facilities, great breakfast... Simply a wonderful place.

Location was ideal for exploring Florence. Helpful staff. Excellent complimentary breakfast.

No elevator to the street level so either you ring a porter or you carry bags up a flight of stairs. Once you are up the first flight of stairs, there is an elevator.

helpful service .upmarket area of town next door to gucci and other designer shops. very close to duomo and river and other tourist areas.without being too busy .my opinion best area of city.good hotel

The staff were very polite and helpful, the location was excellent.

The price was much more expensive compared to what the hotel offered (average hotel facilities, old fashioned room), however it is acceptable if you consider location and how much other hotels in Florence cost.

We had a very positive experience at Albergotto Hotel in Florence. The staff was very courteous and helpful. Simona and Monica at the front desk were more than happy to help out with phone calls, taxi arrangements, suggestions on different tour packages, and helping us acquaint with our surroundings. The buffet breakfast was open from 7-10am and they had a wide variety and everything was delicious. The location was great; only 5 minutes walking distance to the train station and direct in the shopping district. We would definitely stay there when we return to Florence.
