staff was inconsistent - some of the front desk staff were great - others couldn't have cared less about customer service, and it showed.

The location in the heart of Bologna is this hotel's best attribute. The staff were professional and friendly, but not as gracious and warm as other hotels during our Italy trip. However,George was particularly helpful with our bags and the car park. Bologna is a delightful city.

The art motif in our room was not to our liking, but that's entirely subjective - it's an art hotel after all, and art is inherently subjective. What's not subjective is the poor quality of the air conditioning - the room was very warm and stuffy even with the a/c on.

I got upgraded to a suite, which was a big surprise as I was a solo traveller. This was a real treat. The room was very spacious, bed clean, bathroom lovely and fully stocked with toiletries. the hotel was very central, I could walk to all the museums I wanted to see and the staff were helpful in checking opening times. Breakfast was good. Attentive service and there seemed lots of everything on offer.

WIFI not constant (I was in a room in the eaves of the building, the very top), but I was able to use skype.

Excellent location, friendly, helpful multi-language staff. Narrow but comfortable clean room. Welcoming ambiance, discreet housecleaning, good breakfast.

Hair dryer and mirror poorly located in bathroom.

We stayed in one of their apartments close to the main hotel. It was spacious, comfortable and quiet, and filled our needs well. It had a full kitchen, so we were able to go to the beautiful market near by and had our breakfast and some lunch or light dinner there when we desired.

Hotel Staff are excellent and very supportive for any enquiries. Very good location and nice atmosphere.

Have stayed at the hotel on several occasions over the years. Location is number 1. Unfortunatly our flights are too early to sample breakfast so we have no opinion about that. Staff very professional,courteous and knowledgable of city sights and restaurants. The new City tax for travellers is 5 euros at this time, paid in cash at time of checkout.

The air conditioning did not work

Pricy but adequate apartment in the very heart of Bologna in side street of central Piazza. Large bedroom, small sitting room, ok bathroom and kitchen. No view. Adequately equipped. At this price, more charming accomodation is likely to be available.However the apartment is fine and the location is really perfect. Hotel has a parking (for a fee) and assists in access-exit.

Luxury hotel and you step out into the main tourist piazzas and have a good buzz from the city life. We didn't have a artist-decorated room but the normal ones were fine if you like red and gold. Lovely bathroom. Turn down service too.

Narrow roads to approach it (we came by car) quite an experience! The rooms are small but that's what you get in city centre hotels.

good location. Clean room. Because I don't like too cold. The wind of air conditioner on the top of bed made me uncomfortable. I wake up serveral time to switch on and off.

I chose this hotel because the description of the rooms said they were decorated by local artists and the picture were very nice. I haven't got the room I have booked and whose picture were pubblished on booking.com, they use the picture of the design rooms only for convincing turists but, at the end you'll get a normal room slightly over expensive. I booked a double room with a single big bed that, unpleasantly, was made by two small matrasses put together so it wasn't very confortable. Although it was a double room in the bathroom there was only one bathrobe

The staff was very friendly. The location is perfect within Bologna; just a couple of minutes from city center. Amenities were excellent. Room was fairly large in size. They had special pillows with personal favorites. Internet worked very well and had good speed. Totally recommended.

The staff were wonderful - very helpful and made me feel extremely welcome. My room had a lovely bath (not something I came across much in Italy as I was travelling), a large television with international channels, and was an impressive size considering there was only me in it! Overall a very nice hotel.

My room was a little noisy due to overlooking the street, but it was a minor inconvenience.
