The hotel offers very good value for money. Location is excellent - all major sightseeings are very close. The room was clean. Also I liked the cafe in the hotel - there is a large window looking at the canal, and it was very nice to sit drinking coffee and looking how gondolas were passing just a few meters from you.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, answering all our questions easily. Hotel was in an excellent location, about a five minute walk to st marks square and less than two minutes to the rialto bridge! Buffet breakfast was very average. Minimal variety, no bread and the cereal was stale.

personal was competent and friendly. Breakfast lady was allways smiling :-) and also maid was allways greeting me when seeing. I liked the view from the window and sounds of the city waking up in the morning. Room was small but very nice and i think it is not reasonable to expect large rooms in the historical center of the city. Breakfast was also good and different choices of coffee. I would stay there again. What??

This hotel was a very nice hotel in Venice. It was smack in the middle of the island between the Rialto Bridge, Saint Mark's Square and La Fenice. We went to all three locations during our one night stay. The room was large enough for 3 people, the breakfast was delisious in the morning (bread, toast, croissants filled with fruit, jam, cereal, sandwich meat and cheese, yogurt, etc) and the staff would make cappuchino, coffee, or tea on request. One of our travelers was also sick and I had some special tea for sore throats. I went down stairs to ask for some hot water, and they provided a tea kettle and mug. Staff is really friendly and even allowed us luggage storage after checkout. Rooms had ac, satellite tv, and seemed secure. You could even see the gondolas go by in the eating area. They litterly ride through the canal between the hotel and the next building. The only thing we didn't like was our shower was missing a door. It was a four part door and had only three. Good thing the shower head was detachable, so you could keep it away from the door. A minor adjustment and I'm sure the other hotel rooms were different.

Right in the heart of Venice, near to the Ponto Rialto. Lots of shopping nearby. View of canal on one side and during breakfast. Bed was quite stiff. No parking affiliated with hotel (standard for Venice?). Expensive for size.

Superb location in the middle of the town, just a few steps from P. San Marco and Rialto! Very friendly staff Capucchino in the morning, fair breakfast Bathroom was working properly (lights, water, etc.) Room interior style (big golden mirrors, etc.) Poor daylight/light in room (only 1medium size window) No German tv channels No WiFi in whole hotel (at least when we tried to logon) The entry/reception area of the hotel is pretty small and not very nice.

Hotel Alcyone looks just like the pictures. It was really clean. The staff speaks some English. The location is really close to San Marco Square--like a few "blocks." I felt very safe and comfortable there. The bathroom was very tiny. The toilet is so close to the wall that one must sit on it sideways. For me, it was a minor negative.

Great location. Perfect location really. Friendly staff. Clean newly furnished room. Good value for money. If your looking for value and comfort I'd recommend this place to my friends Room smelt a little damp when we entered it. But we didn't notice after 5 mins. One of the shower sliding doors was broken and I made tge bathroom for a bit wet but it didn't realky affect us because they cleaned the room and the bathroom everyday. We didnt have any complaibrs worth mentioning to staff. Well worth the money

Very centrally located near reataurants and bars. Good breakfast We were on the 3rd floor, there is no lift and the room was very small. The Gothic flock fabric covering on the walls made it seem even smaller. The room is in need of decoration. However it was clean.

A very correct hotel, but the labor-union minimum: quite small room(chamber), tiny bathroom and a shower where you should not really be big to return inside. Problems of humidity almost everywhere in the hotel and sideboard(buffet) of breakfast which does not make dream about the whole, it is really necessary to be hungry to eat: fruit in box and dry bread to the program. But for his(its) defense he(it) is extremely well situated in 2 steps of Rialto and in 2 steps of the St Mark's Square and altogether the staff is very pleasant(kind).

Location was first class, value for money. The room keys are kept on view at reception, very very easy for someone to walk in and help themselves to the key and then your room.

Good location, friendly stuff. Very very tiny room and bathroom, bad view from window, too many steers and no help with our lugguges that can be very annoying after a long trip.. Luckily we stayed only for one night which was ok but if you are planning a trip for more days I would not suggest it whatsoever..
