Very close to shopping, sight seeing areas. Easy to get to from Rialto area. Quiet when inside don't realise how close everything is. |

The location was great and the price (for Venice) was very reasonable. I read that this hotel had gone through some recent renovations and they did a really good job! The staff was really friendly and helpful and the area where you eat breakfast was really nice. The hotel was very clean and I would definitely recommend this hotel to other travellers. No, i liked the hotel alot! it was great |

Easy access to all areas of the city. The hotel was attractively decorated and the view from the breakfast room of passing gondolas was a novel feature. |

Both hotel and room were compact but complete. We had all we needed for a successful citytrip : both convenience and close to the Venice tourist centre. The breakfast buffet was fine. |

I really liked our room - the windows looked at the channel so we could watch any time all that gondoliers with their gondolas sailing around - very romantic and impressive. Is located in the city center which is very suitable for the sightseeing and shopping. |

It was really an adventure to find this hotel. We walked around the city for abour 1 hour, asking several local people about directions. Finally, we arrived at about 8 pm, but they could not find our reservation on their list!!! What a pitty!!! The guy at the reception desk hard spoke italian and no other language. It took time to establish what happened. After several calls (I do not know where) english speaking woman explained the situation. So, we were transfered to another hotel and had to travel in Venezia at night and find another one. In that hotel room window was to the yard, which was full of building materials and mud. |

The central location, cleanliness and assistance from staff were excellent. We took vapouretti from train station to Rialto and found acces to hotel extremely easy, even with several pieces of luggage. |

I loved this room! We stayed in a double room, that was a big, had beautiful interior design, and a view of a canal. Breakfast was superb - fresh croissants, delicious coffee, etc. The location of this hotel was also ideal. Very close to St. Mark's and the Rialto bridge and vaporetto stop. No complaints at all. |

Loved the breakfast included and the AC and comfortable bed. Fabulous location right near the main square Saint Marks. It was a very small room - i guess to be expected in such a great location |

The hotel was situated in an ideal location to St Marks Square and Rialto. Everything of importance to see in Venice is in walking distance of the hotel with a nice view at the breakfast area. The rooms were cleaned every day with fresh towels. I would reccomend it to friends who had plans to go to Venice. Although the room we stayed in was nice and compact. In my opinion the rooms would be too small for a family stay. Extremely enjoyable and pleasant stay at The Alcyone. The hotel was everything we needed for our stay as a young couple, although staying on the 3rd floor with no elevator could proove difficult for other holiday makers. |

hotel was very clean and the gondola's passing so near to the breakfast room window was amazing! the rooms are a little small but this is Venice and space is at a premium. The room had everything we needed or would expect from a hotel in this city |

The hotel was in an excellent location, literally about 2 minutes from the Rialto Bridge and less than 10 minutes from St. Marks Square. The hotel was value for money as it seemed to be one of the only ones to offer both breakfast and have a private bathroom. The breakfast room was very nice, it had a big window/glass door which allowed you to see gondolas go past in the morning. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. The room was slightly small and lacked a view. |

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, especially with mapping out directions to various points throughout Venice. The location is superb - literally 3-min walk from the highlighted places in the City. Rooms are small ... but quite understandably so, given Venice real estate is some of the most valuable in the world. |

Wonderful location, the room was very clean but the room was really small though. The air conditioning was working perfectly, so we could sleep and rest very well in the hottest summer season in Venice. |
