Interesting style, kind staff. Because of the stairs I wouldn't recommend this appartment for people with movement problems.

Guys on reception knew English very well (which was surprising for 2* hotel in Palermo). The room was very clean and pretty well-designed, the athmosphere itself is very nice. The most surprising was continental breakfast - hot croissants, natural freshly-made coffee, fresh sicilian orange juice... this is something I didn't see for a while even in 4* and 5* hotels. During my trip in Italy I stayed in 3* and 4* hotels before - but this one is the best one. From all perspectives - price, personnel... everything. Breakfast starts at 8:00 - a bit too late for business people and for people, who want to see the city. If they would start it at 7:00, it would be definitely the best choice of hotel in Palermo. Also the breakfast room is a bit small.

Cosy old world atmosphere and excellent staff. Kudos Daniel in particular - restaurant suggestion a real winner! Stairs might be an issue for the less mobile but then Palermo is no paradise for the ambulatory impaired!

The friendly staff, the decor & the excellent breakfast. Tremendous value for money. The height of the staircases is daunting carrying suitcases & the traffic noise is constant. Such a shame.

Good staff, convenient location, interesting decoration, simple and comfortable. Staff was supporting, explaned everything, suggested some places. Also were no problem to leave our luggage after check out, but before we left Palermo. No problem with the Came from the side of via Roma at night and it was a bit terrifying :) but appeared that it is safe even at night. The hotel is on the 3rd floor and couple of times helped other guests with their luggage. Breakfast was modest, but fine, good coffee... Except terrible juices (or to be precise- the liquid, called juices). Otherwise it was really good place.

I just loved the decor, it was wonderful, like stepping into the past. The staff were friendly, the Hotel was well located, we were there Good Friday, which was amazing. 10 minutes from the bus station and the help yourself breakfast was fine. Not a problem for us, but the stairs..could be a problem if guests did not know about them...

The location is excellent, right in the center of Palermo. The staff is very kind and helpfull, specially Daniel, who provided us with lots of excellent information about the city. The decoration is also charming, evoking the 19th century.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. Having to walk up 4 flights of stairs with suit cases to reach reception was very difficult. The breakfast provided was extremely poor and not worth having. Having to walk up and down 4 flights of stairs every time you leave the hotel is very tiring.

The hotel was very central to the city and historic sites. The staff where friendly and helpful. The facilities where clean and adequate to our needs.Good beds and hot shower in a clean good sized en suite bathroom. Decore was rather florid in the local style but tidy.We felt secure and although the streets at the back where noisy as is the whole district things calmed down after 11.30pm. The hotel isnt well signposted, it is one a second story of a large old Palermo house and has no lift, so not suitable unless one is mobile and fit. The surroundings are a bit down market in a busy street full of cycle shops and a fairly noisy neighbourhood. We had a small double room but one bed had no head board which made keeping pilows on difficult, a bit cramped but we where only spending fur days at the end of a holiday on one of the islands to see the city of palermo. The entrance is up a large marble staircase shared with anothe small hotel and would have benefitted from a facelift.

The staff were very welcome on our arrival and gave us starter information about the city to introduce us to all the interesting sights to see. The decor was really thought about throughout the hotel. The breakfast was really basic with a coffee vending machine.

Place did the trick, and the location was right in the heart of Palermo. The check-out could be 11am instead of 10am, and the rooms looked a bit nicer and bigger in the photos then in real life. But overall you can't go wrong for the price and location. Lobby deco was really nice.

We stayed 2 times 2 nights each. This review regards the first stay. The room was really big, and the decor was great! The bed was really big and comfortable. Also the staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was at the end of a hallway, so also really quiet. room was even cleaned after we left the hotel quite late. Breakfast was not good.

We stayed 2 times 2 nights each at this hotel. This comment regrds the second stay. It is really central and it was super-easy to get to the main station and to the main sights of Palermo. The hotel has free wifi, which was really nice. The staff helped with carrying the luggage into the second floor. The price was great - a total bargain for whoever is interested in the city and not the hotel. The breakfast was - unsurprisngly - not very good. Coffee, juice, baked up cornetti, and some cereals. But for the price we didn't expect more, and therefore it was totally okay, especially because Palermo is plastered with bars and caffes, where it's totally easy to get something else for little money.

The day staff were helpful. The room was well sound proofed from the road(and it needed to be from the outside). Trouble with internal noise, drunk people in hallway at 2.30am. Staff didnt know how to deal with them. I gather this is a regular occurence.
