Location

The room was not what they said. It was old, small, smelly, squeaky floors, old depressing furniture, a bathroom best described as a closet. They simply lied about the room.

It is a comfortable hotel superbly locacted and friendly with several restaraunts nearby

The steep stairs to enter the hotel would not be good if you have difficulty in walking

Location of the Hotel was perfect! Very close to public transportation. Walking distance to Spanish steps and nice shops.

We stayed on the 5th floor and on Sunday did not have hot water to take shower. The staff was helpful and offered us a new room to relocate. However, I think they should know about the water pressure problem and warn the guests about it when they first arrive.

Very noisy at our room faced to bus stop at via Veneto "Deluxe" room in 4th floor advertised at booking.com as "spacious and renovated" was neither spacious nor renovated Most of rooms at our 4th floor were under reconstruction these days, so hotel management should propose us discount room price and apologies. We didn't get any (( In general, dissapointment...

Hotel room was dirty. Mold in bathroom. Plaster was chipped. Did not look anything like pictures on website. The lobby was so small only one or two persons could be in there. Don't stay in this hotel.

Location was excellent. Staff were very helpful.

There was no place to relax with a in the afternoon, like a bar.

We booked this hotel because of its location and we were not disappointed. Many sights were within walking distance and bus routes easily brought us farther afield. The front desk staff were pleasant and welcoming.

The breakfast was pretty good but the food never varied. It would be fine for one or two mornings but after six mornings, it grew tiresome. Being told that the fridge in the room was only to be used for their 'bar' items took away any advantage of having a fridge in the room. The porter grabbing our bags without asking while we were checking in was annoying. We were quite capable of handling our own bags.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location is excellent, very close to major sights and many public transportations. Also around very good restaurants, aperitivo, and all Italian yummies...Clean and neat place, would definitely go there again.

Breakfast need to be improved! but who cares!!

Breakfast could be be improved by ensuring ther is a working toaster.otherwise a good choice.

The location was very good, just 2 minutes walk from the Metro station and bus station. The service was great, I felt very welcomed and comfortable. Hotel also helped me to arrange the car to the airport, the charge is EUR15 per person which I thought very reasonable.

The double room bed was a little bit small.

The position and the interior

Staff was formerly with all the questions I had. Although they did misdirect me to a wrong police station where I needed a police report due to being pick pocketed. But I don't think it was their mistake as i have heard that each police stations in Rome have different 'duties' and they often change (maybe they are just lazy and shift me to a different police station to so their work-who knows how Rome police works with all those crimes etc). But the accommodation was wonderful and clean. Our room is big for 5 guests and it has a very classical architecture feel to it.

Staff was not all that helpful or polite and halls and rooms were dirty, moldy, and overall just not worth the$$.

the staff are friendly and experienced but the van driver from the hotel was rude he charged us 30 euros more for a five minutes getting round!

the noise of the front rooms, some of them are very old and very small.

Excellent location ..near metro Barberini stop and in what was formerly a haunt of the wealthy so the streets have their own treasures. Staff are helpful and when we asked for a room change we got a great spacious one at the back. Hotel is certainly three star in what it offers.

Location

Hotel Alexandra is very close to all public transportation, historical sites, shopping, dinining etc. It is very convenient and friendly for the "Business traveler" who is stopping for a brief "see the sights" stop in Rome. Hotel has "check in" parking available for those of us crazy people who actually rented a car while in Rome. Parking garage (valet parking) is slightly expensive, but very convenient and much needed for the same above mentioned crazy people. Free Internet is standard in the U.S., but seems to be a "luxury" in European hotels. Hotel Alexandra was the only hotel out of 5 that I stayed during my Italy travels that had free, unlimited internet. Others had a brief 30 minutes to zero internet available, even the hotels that catered to business travelers. Breakfast provided. Quiet/cozy hotel, without a huge amount of trafic through the halls. I will definately stay at the Hotel Alexandra again on my next visit to Rome. Hopefully this time, it will be for an extended vacation, rather than a brief stop between business locations.

Stairs up to lobby are quite inconvenient for large luggage. However there seems to be someone quickly available to help bring luggage up the stairs "bellboy". I would suggest a bell at the entry, so the guests who are traveling alone can ring for someone (bell boy) to assist with luggage. The choices are: 1. Carry the luggage up the stairs. 2. Wait to see if someone notices you at the bottom of the stairs so they can assist. 3. Leave your luggage unattended on the sidewalk while you proceed to the lobby to ask for assistance.

Really great location and best value for money available on the most expensive street of Rome. Metro is just a few steps away, several most popular attractions are 10 minutes walk away too. New elevator :)

Breakfast is really poor - cheese, bacon and cold omlet, nothing else. Same every day. Rooms are a bit worn but clean. Some rooms has a window looking to the noisy Via Venetto.
