Loved the location, kind staff, clean and comfortable rooms and lovely breakfasts served each morning!
The location near vatican museum
The room was tiny
Hi, Many thanks to the hotel owner and the receptionist that helped to make the stay ever so good. If you are searching for a hotel no need to reviews any further, this is the best place ! There are supermarkets around, metro and bus stations.... Breakfast is very very good. will miss the hotel for sure.
Nothing to do with the hotel, a tip for travellers to always try to come back early home around 9/10 PM and then there are no worries.
The location was perfect for our activities on that leg of our visit. It is located at the steps to the Vatican Museum, across from St. Peter's Basilica and the Sistine Chapel. The staff was pleasant and helpful. A nice breakfast is provided on a lovely terrace.
Everything was great about this hotel! It is directly beside the entrance of the Vatican museum, around the corner from St Peter's Basilica - a few metro stops from the touristic centre or if you're a keen walker the walk to the centre is really scenic. The hotel is filled with beautiful replicas of famous art pieces. Breakfast was delightful (especially the staff serving it!) Wifi worked in the room well, good shower, was able to leave my luggage there after check out for a few hours. I'd definitely stay here again!
- Very kind and helpful service. - PERFECT localization, 60-80 meters to the Vatican walls and entery to te Vatican Museums. (In the area there are several well-stocked grocery stores and many different kinds of diner and ice cream parlor. After all, around the hotel has almost no hustle and bustle which is amazing considering the great location) - Small, but nice and every day clean rooms with air conditioning. Shower and tub in one (Believe me, You will love that tub after long walks on the rome ;) ). - Always open roof terrace with views of the dome of St. Peter's palace and the Vatican museums - Tasty and hearty breakfasts ( A continental breakfast + multitude of sweets). You can eat it on the roof garden :)
- Wifi worked usually only in the lobby downstairs. Practically does not work in the room - A very small thing: The day before we left we asked to prepare breakfast for us early, because the plane started at 7am. Breakfast waiting for us, but it was very modest (rusks, yogurt and apple). - After that, everything was perfect!!!
The staff where very friendly and helpful. The hotel was in an ideal location and was very good value for money. I would return without a doubt and my husband and I would like to say Thank you .
the room was very clean, and the cleaning service was in tip top shape everyday. The AC was in good working condition and cooled us down during the hot August holiday. Also had a small mini fridge which we didn't expect. Breakfast was well worth the money. Very pleased to have scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage as an option for once in italian establishment. Reception was very helpful at all times, helped us locate some bus routes. We also arrived rather late at 1am to check in but there was still staff there to welcome us and explain the facilities. Waiter of the breakfast was also very nice. Best of all was the location, very close to vatican and st peter's basilica and lots of buses with a metro station were nearby. Transport was very easy until you get the hang of things.
I would stay at this hotel again however there would be small things i would change: - the wi fi was very weak and unreliable, had to go down to hotel lobby to use it and even there it was a bit slow. - the satellite tv only had two english channels, and they were cnn and bbc news... no movies or programmes. - lastly there was only one plug hole for us to use so we had to charge our phones in turns. With these three points in mind, I would still suggest this place!!
position of the hotel breakfast terrace always helpful staff cosy rooms beautiful hotel design absolute value
crowds of people around hotel due to vaticani mus. lack of supermarkets in a surrounding area
Staff was very helpful Location was quiet, close to Vatican Breakfast buffet Comfortable beds Large rooms Internet access Decent sized elevator
View from window, but we kept them closed and covered anyway A/C could have been better, but it was sufficient
The location of this hotel to the Vatican was a real plus. My daughter and I stayed here ten years ago, and then I visited this summer with my husband. The staff was very helpful. Restaurants in the area were reasonably priced. The staff offers helpful recommendations. Breakfast was ample. The German restaurant next door was great, as were the other Italian restaurants on the block.Internet was spotty but we had drinks on the roof where we were able to use our I pads. We will definitely be back and will recommend the hotel to all of our friends!
Close to Vatican City Walls, all staff was very helpful, from calling restaurants to arranging taxis to locating stores, rooms were clean and adequate, working air conditioning!, had a pool table, tv lounge area and a piano
wi fi was spotty at times
The proprietor was friendly and helpful with directions and advice for food and sights. The morning breakfast on the upper patio was delicious. I would stay at the Alimandi via Tunisi in a future visit to Rome.
The location is perfectly situated near the Vatican. Many good restaurants located within a short walking distance. The staff is very helpful.
The staff was exceedingly helpful. I let them know I was gluten free and they specially provided items at breakfast for me. Nice variety of hot and cold food at breakfast. They helped us navigate the city and helped make our stay in Rome great. The room had a balcony and good breeze when open, but when closed had great sound control against the city noise. The location couldn't be better. We would definitely stay here again.
Some of the breakfast food was a little over salted, but probably fine for the average taste.
Friendly staff. Very helpful from a tourist standpoint Excellent, fun breakfast staff with Francesco
The location is very near the Vatican Area, as well as main street where you can find many restaurants with good value for money, as well as many shops. The hotel's breakfast is very good, with a very friendly staff who made us feel most welcome every morning. 2 blocks away from the hotel there's a good Chinese restaurant with very good value for money, as well as delicious.
Access to public transport, as well as the bus stop for sight-seeing bus is relatively far approx 15-20 mins by walking distance
On the whole, we had a great stay here. The things listed in the "what didn't you like column" are really things that would make a good hotel excellent. The location of the hotel is great, right across from the Vatican. There is a good selection of restaurants within walking distance but be warned only 1 or 2 are open on Sunday evening. The hotel is in a quiet neighborhood. The staff were excellent - very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. The double room we had was just adequate in size for 2 people but it would have been nice to have had a little more space. Also, the room had only a shower and the option of a bath would have been appreciated. The room was very clean and well maintained with daily maid service which was done efficiently and without any disruption. The bed was really comfortable and we were quickly provided with additional pillows when we asked for them. The hotel is just a short distance from a metro stop and that takes you into the centre of Rome in under 15 minutes.
No tea or coffee making facilities in the room. The hotel bar is limited - it's very small and it would have been nice to have a bigger selection of beers. Breakfast was good but if you leave it towards the end of the session, you may find there are only bits and pieces left of hot food. While the room has a safe it isn't secured to anything - it would be possible to pick up the safe and take it away. This is an important consideration for international travelers who may have passports and tickets to store safely. There were only 2 English speaking channels on the TV and both of those were news channels so it became a little tedious to watch after a while. A bigger selection of channels would be very good.
WiFi only worked on the main floor
Wonderful location with excellent restuarants nearby. Staff offered wonderful recommendations! Perfect location if planning to visit the Vatican
Wifi was weak in rooms but much better in main lobby
Friendly and cooperative staff. Perfect location, comforts of home. Amazing hot breakfast buffet each day!
Staff very friendly and Francesco could never do enough for us at breakfast.
Would have liked tea/ coffee facilities in the room.
location across from Vatican and staff were excellent
Staff were extremely helpful!
