I work online and I need regular and reliable access to the internet. I was able to log on at any time of the day and night with no problems. The WiFi is free and is accessible from the comfort of your hotel room. It is not slow at all! The Vatican is right acorss the street, which makes it easy to access St. Peter's Basilica and the Vatican museums. The rooms are tastefully decorated and there is marble throughout the hotel. Some guests complained about the noise from the street, however, our window faced the street and when the window was closed, you could not hear what was going on outside. Although they only have pics of cereral on their website, the breakfast is varied and includes hot food, fruits, as well as tasty breakfast treats, They were very accommodating; we came in on the red eye and we were allowed to check-in before the normal time. They are concerned about how our electrical appliances function with their system of electricity, so you are not allowed to use an iron for fear that you will cause a fire, which is understandable. Their rates to iron your clothes are pretty high, so unless you want to pay about 20 euros to have an outfit pressed, make sure that you pack clothing that doesn't wrinkle easily. One concierge wasn't very knowledgeable about the area and told us everything shuts down at 8pm but we were able to find a grocery store that was open past 9pm. On Candia, two blocks away from the hotel. He also told us that exchanging money at a bank was the same as exchanging it at a currency exchange, however, the bank does not take 20% of your money. With the American dollar so low and the euro so high, you would rather have the 20% in your pocket! There are a few banks within walking distance, just don't be disuaded by their security system- they are open! We asked for a recommendation for a restuarant and he directed us to a family restaurant five blocks away, which at 9:30pm at night isn't very feasible. It would have been nice if the hotel had a restaurant aside from the free breakfast so we wouldn't have to scout for a place to eat when we were tired from a long day of sightseeing. I would like to add that the young women who worked there were very helpful and knowledgeable. Otherwise, our experience with the hotel was very positive.

Fantastic breakfast I even met a lady who had used this hotel for 25yrs just because the breakfast was so good. The beds were very comfortable just what you need after a long day sightseeing. The staff were knowledgable and very helpful and spoke very good english. Go up to the fourth floor to enjoy a quiet secret roof terrace! If you are most interested in vising the Vatican then this is perfectly located. From our bedroom window we could see the wall of the Vatican. However, it was a long walk or a bus ride to the majority of the sites and better resturants.

This is a fabulous hotel with about the best front desk staff we have ever encountered. Helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and courteous, you will not find a more accomodating staff anywhere. The hotel is located directly across the street from the Vatican Museum entrance which was very handy for us as we not only spent much time in the museum but much of our visit was centered around sites at the Vatican. Our only complaints are that the WiFi in the rooms is very sporadic and the traffic noise (mainly buzzing scooters) in rooms fronting Via Vaticano can make it difficult to sleep in one is a light sleeper.

We loved everything about this hotel, Nico the manager was polite, helpful & very informative, our room was spacious & clean, the breakfast was also fantastic. It's a shame we only spent 1 night there, when we return to Rome, this is where we will stay.

The location could not have been better. Being across the street from the Vatican Museum was extremely convenient and made us feel a part of history yet the street itself was surprisingly quiet after tour hours. The staff were considerate, made our family's stay pleasant, arranged for transportation, and gave excellent recommendations for local restaurants.

The hotel was only a short walk from the metro station. The Room was elegant and spotlessly clean. We had the standard double room which is much bigger than it looks in the photographs as the bed is 7 ft wide! (And so comfortable I've now been told we need a new mattress for our own bed at home!). The breakfast was superb with just about anything you could want... Including a selection of chocolate cake (god I love Italy!). The staff were very helpful and friendly and for anyone wanting to visit the Vatican... The door to the museum entrance is just across the road so you can see what the queue is like while your having your breakfast :o) (we stayed here from 12th to 16th January and its a great time to visit the Vatican as there are not the usual crowds, the Christmas lights are still up, have a look at the lights on Via del Corso - totally amazing!) All in all it was a fantastic, and we enjoyed our stay here quite possibly more than anywhere else we've been. Will definitely stay here again on my next visit. Absolutely nothing. For us the hotel was perfect, we were happy and able to walk into the city centre and enjoyed the walk down Via Della Concilliazione and crossing the Ponte Sant' Angelo to and from the hotel. Its about a fifteen minute walk to some really nice shopping districts and restaurants around the Piazza Navona. If you are not interested in visiting the Vatican (although I would recommend anyone to go - I'm not religious and not catholic but it was totally amazing - so much so we actually went twice - you can also get a guided tour from just outside the hotel which cost around 35 euros each but was well worth the money - or you can go it alone and pay 15 euros each - this gets you into the Vatican Museum - the Sistine Chapel and St Peter's Basicillica - Awesome) As I was saying - if you're not intending to visit the Vatican and I haven't convinced you to do so - then you may wish to stay somewhere more central (anything around the Pantheon is kinda central to everything - and dont forget to have a coffee in Sant Eustachio - Chio :o)

excellent location, very safe and quiet; very good and diversified breakfast ; good size room and clean bathroom; polite hotel's personnel; we have really appreciated the early check-in , done immediately upon arrival , around 11.00 lt instead of 14.00 lt ; taxi service, booked by the hotel , from the airport to the hotel and vice-versa despite of room reservation for 4 persons, the bathroom kit foreseen was for two persons only; also slippers not available at all

Would I stay here again... Definitely!!! The hotel arranged to pick us up from the airport. From the moment we arrived, the staff did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. The room was lovely, comfortable, and the view from our window gave us a birds-eye view of the entrance to the Vatican museum. Breakfast was delicious and the breakfast staff was extremely attentive. I wish we didn't have to leave!

The hotel was very clean and in a good location for visiting Vatican City. My family really enjoyed the breakfasts too! The concierge didn't advise us that we could see the pope until it was too late.It would have been nice to have that information when we checked in, so we could have planned our day differently. She also, told us to go to a restaurant that was closed.

This hotel is amazing, especially when you consider the location (directly across the street from the entrance door of the Vatican Museum), the comfort of the room, the staff, the breakfast included in the room price and the cleanliness. They did absolutely everything they could to make our stay great, and it was. During our stay I became sick on the day of checkout and asked if I could stay 3 more hours until I felt better. They not only allowed me to do so, but they did not charge me for the 3 hours beyond checkout time. Additionally, we asked the hotel to book a private tour of the Vatican and Basilica for us. They arranged this for us in advance. The day prior to the tour, our plans had changed and we needed to reschedule the tour for one day later. They made these arrangements despite it being an Italian National Holiday when most businesses are closed. This took extra effort at the last minute and they were friendly and accommodating . The tour guide was great and it was well worth the money. We were glad we had the hotel choose the guide. The guide was prompt, very knowledgeable and friendly. The breakfast included in the room price is full and very extensive. They offer the typical (eggs, bacon, coffee cake, etc.) but also some unusual items (apple kiwi fresh squeezed juice, home made frittata, and different vegetables each morning). All the food is excellent. If you decide to stay there, be sure to order a cappuccino (included in the breakfast but it needs to be ordered from the wait staff)...it is the best we had in all of Italy. If you are looking for the european hotel experience, this hotel will fit the bill perfectly. If, however, you are looking for a glitzy American hotel, this hotel is not what you are looking for. It is family run and operated. Desk staff will speak english well. Internet is included in your room and is unlimited as far as I could tell. It is a wonderful place and will add to your overall experience in Rome.
