Not so clean. The 24 hour desk is a staff member who is lying at a mattress in the hall. When we came back home at night to use the restroom for a moment the guy was really cantankerous because he had to open the door. Especially because we were going back in town and he had to open the door again later that night. We will never go back to this hotel!
the hotel is in the busy street of room very clean hotel and bedroom staff and managment was very helpful at any time of day or night small hotel but very pleasant booked our taxi for return to airport and offered bfast before we left at 6 am i would return to this hotel any time i travel to rome again
no complaint at all
Location very good and inexpensive.
Thin walls, consequentially noise from other rooms. Eating area very small.
The location is really nice. It's a 15 min walk to the Colliseum and 50 min to the Vatican. Price is also very good. If you are on a budget, want to sightsee and don't spend a lot of time at the hotel, it's an OK choice.
The room on the images was not the one we got. The breakfast was not good. The wi-fi is slow.
The hotel is very good situated to visit, not very far from train station and shuttles for airport . The Staff are nice.
Not very clean, old, the breakfast is a limit, comparing with Italian normal one. The room for 4 persons is very small.
Excellent position in the city center, really cheap, good breakfast, nice people.
Nothing at all, for what I spent it was perfect.
Location is close to metro stop.
Breakfast did not have anything salty - just cereal, pastry, jam and nutella, coffee, juice, yogurth and water. electricity socket was some kind of italian style - i could not charge my laptop (the same for airport sockets) we booked one triple and one double room, got two double rooms, but paid for the triple and double. city tax is 3 eur (and no receipt was given). one out of 4 beds had bad matress (I felt springs).
The location is excellent (next to Termini). The Colosseo is just a short walking.
The room is very noisy, we couldn"t sleep beside closed window.
Location is excelent, good price
Not that clean.
You have to take a tiny elevator from a huge lobby to a 3rd floor level with another "hotel" across the hall. The place is like a dorm, breakfast room tiny, rooms very close together and extremely small. Could't get wifi and had to flush toilet several times every time. Staff were pretty uninterested except for Leonardo, but his shift was over soon after we arrived.
Air conditioning did not cool the room sufficiently. We were told that we must be used to the weather in the U.S. Wi fi was horrible in the room. Paying for coffee after breakfast hours is ridiculous. Hotel staff were not helpful at all with recommendations to eat or finding places.
We stayed at Alius hotel twice during our last trip to Italy. We are a family of four who prefer to travel on a budget and always looking for the best prices but also comfort location and quality. We spend our first two nights in Italy, at this hotel, and return (after a 4 nights stay in Naples) at the same hotel for our last two nights in Italy. Alius is not a fancy, exclusive and pricey 5 stars hotel. This is a small hotel, ideal for travelers on a budget, very clean, located close to Roma Termini station and Republica square on a main street. The staff was very friendly and helpful regarding all of our needs and inquiries. The rooms were clean and well furnished and all utilities in the room functioned properly. The breakfast had yummy pastries and hot drinks. Moreover, the staff was very kind to hold our luggage, while we enjoyed the last hours in Rome, before our departure. The FREE internet connection wasn’t working well in our room, but we used it well in the lobby.
perfect location, helpful staff
pictures aren't very real or actual. Shower was dirty with previous guests hair and some hair paint. 3rd floor in kind of office building. breakfast very, very poor.
Early checkout by 10 am. breakfast.
excellent value for money, clean, comfortable and spacious room. Continental breakfast included and exactly what you would expect from a budget hotel. Staff very helpful and friendly. Arrived just before midnight. The owner was waiting outside, he let us in, called the lift and then met us in reception on the 2nd floor to check us in. Impressive !
nothing. cannot fault this hotel at all. Would stay again if needed a budget hotel in the centre of Rome.
As mentioned the location is good. Not far from the metro and everything is a decent distance, but it's Rome after all. The small was a decent size and comfortable. Breakfast was decent and the staff were nice. They made an effort to make the experience as enjoyable as possible.
We had one hot shower out of five days. Our room was next to reception, so we heard the ringing phone, coming and goings etc. The room could use some basic maintenance. Pillows were a firm discomfort. We paid a lot less for better hotels in our parts of Italy - but this is Rome after all.
Great location, good value for money
Location Secure building
Wifi only works next to front desk Staff moved our stuff around the room without asking Denied us breakfast on last day but let others eat Air conditioning doesn't work well
Location ead great. Good for short stays
Wi fi in room very poor
* great (safe & alive) neighborhood * almost opposite the metro station * within walking distance from the main Terminal and many attractions * clean & renovated rooms * towels and seeds change evrey 2nd day * fine breakfast * very helpful personel * free wifi * ...to cut a long story short, it's really a great hotel in the center of Rome, which provides everything it claims to! so, if you're looking for a nice, clean and cheap place to stay, well... that's it!!!
* can't think of any!
Bed, toilet, tv and wifi
Good location, nice staff, good size breakfast
Need a bit of renovation.
I would like to have a double bed ,as requested,: shower, washing base to be in working order. Air condition turn off every time we left the room, lift not able to operated in night time, after half hour waiting for lift to come down. Ringing the hotel bell but no assistance, we had to walk up to third floor, at midd night. As for staff no manners, very Rudd demanding to know where we come from etc.
Everything about it
This is a very small hotel with only around 10 rooms on the third floor of a building situated right in the center of Rome, in 10-15 min from the Termini station. Maria and Leonardo at reception are simply marvelous. They are very attentive and friendly, gave us a lot advices on where to go and how to reach that place. I also liked the breakfast with tasty croissants and nutella and cleanliness of bed linen.
Poor internet and very small room, the reception guy at night could slightly speak Italian, he was very slow in providing things we asked for for example the keys when we arrive. Then he told us to pay 50 euro in advance for our taxi to the airport, insisting that the taxi on order will cost even more. Then I just called that taxi and ordered it for 48 euro and paid for it only when we were in the airport.
Quadruple room was helpful for our family of 4 to stay together. Location was close to the train station. Private bathrooms were nice. We were so busy seeing the sights we did not spend much time in the room.
Air conditioning did not work well and wifi was inconsistent. Breakfast was okay, but did not have as many selections as similar hotels in other cities in Italy.
