location perfect Built in 17th century view nice room is large near a water bus station (san marco) elevator unlike most Venice hotels
Internet in reception only and extremely slow breakfast is very poor Air conditioner is hard to control too hot
Very close to the train station Verona Porta Nuova and a short walk to the centre. Clean room with good facilities at a very reasonable price. Help yourself breakfast in the morning with choice of coffees and shower gel in the bathroom. Great for the price. Staff were very friendly and wifi worked well.
In my room the window in the bathroom was a bit close to the toilet. I covered it myself but it might help to have a curtain there.
had insect bites all over after the last night. I do hope it was a mosquito (although bites don´t really look like mosquito bites) and not some bed bug. fortunately, bites aren´t itchy, but I do find their occurance suspicious...
A good location and an interesting window view. Nice and helpful staff. The bathroom worked fine but it would be great if there also was a hand shower. The hotel had a working elevator.
The breakfast was not satisfactory. Just one kind of bread of a boring variety that did not taste anything. Otherwise, there were only sweet pastries of several varieties. Besides the boring French soft cheese there was only one kind of cheese that did not taste anything. Bacon and scrambled eggs of pretty low quality. The juice tasted artificially. Probably an expensive but very unhealthy breakfast. The complicated coffee machine caused queues in the undersized breakfast room. The machine had to be used also to get hot water to the tea bags. We reccommend kettles for heating water or thermoses or a second machine. It did not feel good that the beds were made with clean linen every day and that the towels were changed every day even if we hung them up to dry. It seems like the hotel management do not care much about the environment. The room we got (107) was certainly overlooking a canal through the only narrow window, but otherwise, it was dark, quite boring furnished and lighting was poor. The beds were acceptable but not particularly comfortable considering the price of the room. It is hard to understand how the hotel has qualified for four stars. It is not value for money.
All'Angelo did not have a 2+1 bed to offer for these days so they have placed us in the next door (really next door) hotel with 2 HUGE rooms and beds for same price. Many thanks!
being upgraded to a junior suit room had a great view make sure you visit the drop of zone at the back of the hotel next to the water Short walk to the main square
Furnisher is old bed wasn't very comfortable, but OK no arranged pick up from the parking very long walk from where you arrive
Air conditioning not working
The hotel restaurant was nice, and we were able to watch the World Cup game there. Also, the location was near St. Mark's Square, which was nice. The view from our room was also nice.
We stayed on the 5th floor. There was a HUGE leak (I have video of it) and water was spilling out of it by as large as buckets. Our room was initially fine and free of leaks, but at midnight, water started to come through our bathroom ceiling (I have pictures of that). We complained to the front desk in the morning, but they did nothing to rectify the situation. All in all, a terrible hotel experience.
the hotel was in a great location, just off of St Mark's Square. the canal views from our room were perfect. We were very comfortable; i would definitely return to this hotel. Highly recommend it!
The location is the only positive
Price was ridiculous for the standard of hotel Dirty room Small room
Great breakfast. Good location and very comfortable bed.
The staff is very stand-offish. The barttender at night is suppose to help you pair your cicchetta with a good wine. Instead he just serves you whatever and not even ask if you like it beforehand. I ordered pinot grigio and he gave me chardonnay. The tables where dirty and sticky. I didn't want to get my tablet dirty so I asked if he could clean it. He was to busy cleaning his little bar so i cleaned the table myself. Very bitter old man. If he doesn't like his job, he should get a new one.
Awesome location, good breakfast with great coffee
I liked the staff's help and concern.
No room internet access not so ever.No English channels if you are lucky enough only one show in English a day. Very old and used furniture. humidity smelling everywhere. celling was leaking in the hall way and they placed an old bucket underneath for two days until the day I left. location too far from the beach and port that I needed to drag the luggage and ask for directions.
location and staff
price of wine in bar
