Very friendly english speaking staff. Young girl on reception extremely pleasant and efficient. Breakfast was excellent and choice of coffee was very welcome. Hotel restaurant on the corner served good food and reasonably priced. Location of hotel in old town was very handy. This is a must stay at hotel.

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful city. A little difficult to find (gps does not do it!), but once there it was an enjoyable stay.

Difficult to find in a city of small, narrow and busy streets.

I would definitely stay at this hotel again. The staff were very nice- polite and helpful, recommending a great restaurant. Our rooms were lovely and comfortable. Wished we were there more than 1 night. Location inside the walls of Lucca (but not too far from one of the gates) was also good.

We had very nice 4 days including New Year's Eve and New Year's Day at this hotel. The room was very cozy and a staff set it neatly every day. The reception desk staff were all helpful and friendly.The location was excellent with very central and many shops nearby.

A little water was leaking from the bathtub. Without this, completely perfect.

Everything and +++ gluten free breakfast

The central location and the personal approach of the staff ensured this hotel lived up to four star reputation. Of the many excellent features,perhaps the high quality breakfast topped the list.

Charming hotel with scenes painted on the walls/ceilings and unique bathroom tiles coordinated with the flower name of the room - ours was papavero (poppy).Good breakfast with lots of oranges to make juice with automatic juicer.The fellow at the desk recommended two restaurants, both of which were great. The location was wonderful - quiet, but close to to everything within the beautiful town walls.

It was a bit of a pain as we were only given one set of keys and there was a hall door a ways from our room door which had to be locked, so if one were out of the room exploring and one was in the room napping then the front desk would have to wake up the napper to come out to open the hall door.

Staff were very attentive and professional. Our room was fabulous - in keeping with the history of the building but with all modern conveniences. Delightful painted murals and quality furnishings. Lovely breakfast. The receptionist was happy to recommend restaurants. We particularly enjoyed eating at Osteria Via S. Georgio which was nearby.

The hotel is beautifully decorated, but individually decorated rooms. Staff were all very friendly and helpful during my stay.

Great location, good directions if travelling by car, good breakfast, nice friendly staff.

Not much, we only stayed one night and was a perfect short break hotel, right in the heart of Lucca.
