Very accommodating, great breakfasts -second to none. Quirky decor. Handy car park. Relaxed and helpful regarding children.
Bed sheets were very rough. Let themselves down in a vital area. Sleep is the no 1 priority. You expect more for the price and the rating, really
Well located and close to shops and restaurants
Map not accurate enough
Everything. Great room, best breakfast in Italy, very central location, very helpful staff.
The staff at this hotel was very friendly and professional. I felt very welcome. The breakfast was excellent too, with fresh orange juice and vegetable available as well as freshly cooked eggs to your liking. My room (Papavero) was pleasant with lovely decoration and the bed was the best I've ever had in any hotel. A very pleasant stay indeed! I very much recommend this hotel.
There was some noise in the evening due to activities in the street nearby. I would have liked some more light in the room (Papavero) as it was a slightly dark, but this wasn't a big issue. Other that that, everything was perfect!
Really liked the frescoes on the walls - very atmospheric.
The staff was very friendly and accomidating. The hotel was perfectly located in Lucca and the spacious room had a very nice clean bathroom.
Could improve upon the wifi strenght.
The breakfast and the room decorations
The shower didn't work, but maybe that was because we couldn't work out which buttons to press !
Everything - great breakfast, superb room, meticulously clean, very helpful staff, great facilities - the list simply goes on! Staying in Lucca? Stay here - there really isn't better and one I'm only too pleased to be able to recommend 100%
Nothing of note.
The quality of room and service
A little difficult to find but getting lost in Lucca was worthwhile anyway. Lovely little city.
Great location, very caring and helpful staff, large and beautifully appointed rooms, best bathroom and shower in any of the many hotels we have patronized, wonderful breakfast offering. This was our second stay at Corte degli Angeli, and even better than the first.
-Location - clean -nice breakfast -nice staff
-Our room was loacted just above a restuarant, and we've heard every order taken, staffs singing etc...,as if we were sitting in the kitchen itself. We stayed for one night, so didnt make a fuss. Stay away from these room and make sure your room is quiet!! - no elavator -15 Euro parking/night
A bit hard to find & difficult to park car (& need to pay for parking)
I liked the way in which the hotel had been remodeled. Breaksfast was good
I found the staff in need of some basic customer service training. Location hard to find but everything is in the old city. There is a restaurant across the courtyard so if your room faces --noise follows.
Attention to details make this place special, from the decor, both romantic & amusing, to breakfast, with juicers for fresh orange or mixed veggies. Steps from the main pedestrian street. Convenient parking
Room and staff. Perfect location
Perfect location. Just off the main street but in a very quite, very safe street. Room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Lovely jet shower and Jacuzzi bath! Excellent continental breakfast - even had a juicer and a machine to boil your own eggs! Helpful, friendly staff.
Didn't really bother me but if you have long or thick hair I recommend you take your own hairdryer as the one in our room was very gentle!
This was the second time we stayed here and we were not disappointed. It is a very nice hotel and the staff is most helpful. Great breakfast.
If you come by car, it is a little difficult, but just drive slowly and you will make it.
Short walk to bike hire, city walls, bus station and restaurants. Large room, great bathroom. Breakfast very good, with lots of choice.
Our room was at the front of the hotel. The street was not busy, but each morning we were woken v early (6.15) by trucks collecting waste bins.
Great staff and location, nicely appointed rooms and great size on bathroom, nice breakfast in a relaxing environment. Really recommend it!
Friendly atmosphere created by the staff all of whom went out of their way to be helpful. We had no need of a car whilst we were in Lucca. We arrived and left in taxis the drivers were expert at navigating their way through the narrow streets.
Difficult to find something to dislike about the hotel.
Beautiful rooms, excellent location right off the main street. Breakfast was delicious, plenty of choice. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable, and our bathroom spacious and clean. The hotel was lovely and quiet at night time and the room air conditioned so a good night's sleep was almost guaranteed.
Ideally placed for exploring lovely Lucca. We opted for a superior room which was spacious and comfortable and the bathroom was fabulous, with a walk in shower and a whirlpool bath. Lovely brand of toiletries too. All the rooms are named after flowers rather than numbered The staff were all exceptionally courteous and kind and all spoke good english. Car parking in a garage along the road made it easy for us not to worry about its safety
Friendly helpful staff and spacious rooms each painted with individual wall designs that create a unique atmosphere. Situated on a quiet side street just off the main shopping area this hotel is ideally placed for a few days to explore Lucca.
The Hotel was well appointed and beautifully decorated. The breakfasts were very good. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, recomending restaurants and making bookings for us also arranging transport to and from Pisa airport. The Hotel is very well situated to see all the highlights of Lucca (a lovely city). We had four great days.
The pillows were a little hard for our taste.
