Just 220 yards from the Rialto Bridge, Locanda Armizo offers traditional rooms in classic Venetian style in Venice’s center. Free Wi-Fi is available in the entire building.
Score from 260 reviews Good
old stylish building along a typical venice canal, nice view from the room window. In November the room was quite cheap.
Dirty shared bathroom. A false fire alarm rung in the middle of the night around 3 AM, many people woke up and nobody knew what was happening. After 2 hours everything was quiet again
Venice is an expensive and old city. So one cannot expect big comfort in hotels like this one. For instance the shared bathroom was far from a new one and we rather avoided to use it (stayed 1 night).
Close to sightseeing places and bus (ferry) stop. Calm and quiete place, easy to find. Air conditioning with hot and cold air flow. Very good toiletries and shower, everything available.
Double bed was actually a two single beds slided together, very uncomfortable, as well as there were two blankets. Has additional charge for WiFi access.
It is one of the cheapest hotels in venice and is quite in a central but quiet location. Clean.
During our stay the hotel was jam-packed with foreign students who were a bit noisy and devoured the breakfast. The breakfast though quite varied and abundant was delivered in small trays, hence the food ran out quite often having to wait quite a long time for it to be replenished. This especially with the bacon. Despite the fact the room was clean when we entered, The chambermaid only arranged the bed an replaced towels but never swept or washed the floor, not even the bathroom, during our stay.
even though we tried to check in at 10am (the room was not ready then) we got the most run-down room when we came back in the evening. you could see how they changed room numbers on our reservation serval times. at the reception they told us in the morning that they normally don't rent out this room. well... rather bad service!!!!
Poor facilities, additional payment for wifi, no breakfast
Bed was not comfortable. Room was cold.
Mould on bathroom walls Horrible shower floor One bath towel for 2 people No extra toliet paper
Horrible condition of room. Very basic in comparison with the rate. Certain rooms to be completely restored...
Toilet in room No 5 smelling. No tv in the room. Charge internet and supports only one device. Barbara leicester UK.
Loved the view the atmosphere there friendliness!! Nice culture! Far out, but still got a lot going on even though not in center, lovely shower and bathroom. Nice easy lift for heavy baggage, adaptor available on request and finally it's easy service.
Quiet far from the train station and to walk you have to be mad. Mosquitos!! Bite all my face and also windows don't shut so when the rain heavily pours! And I mean heavy thunder lightening and wind! The room is freezing and noisy little bit scary! But this is October! I'm sure in summer it's beautiful!
The neighborhood is very quiet, gorgeous, but one needs to like walking. The breakfast is plentiful. Staff was very welcoming.
There is very limited space in the room (barely enough for 2 suitcases). The place smelled like mold and seemed to have been flooded recently.
Great location and a comfortable stay.
Location is pretty good!
Not like you have many options in a town like Venice but the hotel is very very simple, has the bare minimum comfort. I guess it's a fair rate of 2 stars but as expensive as 3-4 stars in any other town. I supposed you will be sightseeing most of the day so that is the upside.
I do not recommend this hotel. The shared bathroom was shared with an entire floor, toilet wouldnt flush and staff didnt make sure to have enough toilet paper. The bedroom smelled moldy and I found several hairs on the sheets. Our bedroom had a shower stall in a corner of the room and when I showered it was clogged up so I had to take a 3 min shower in a pool of dirty water, so disgusting! Staff told me that I had to buy towels since they were not included but when I arrived at room it turns out there were some towels there. I spent money unnecessarily. Im glad I only spent one night there, if I return to Venice I will never stay there. It was very dissapointing that customer service and cleanliness was not their priority.
Nice room and the room itself clean.
The shared bathroom were just terrible. Awful in all mean
Friendly staff, nice breakfast, affordable and comfortable. Close enough to the main area without being busy. Lots of great eateries close by, would go there again!
the hotel is not in the touristic centre of venice but very close to it, perfect &quiet! Lucky to stay in a renovated room with view on a private garden.
the mosquitos, inside breakfast room
Setting was lovely, clean street and quiet canal. Welcoming staff. Tickets for a show were booked commission free. The nights were silent, no car noise as there are no cars. Very good value breakfast and room. I will definately recommend it for friends.
In the older budget part of the hotel where we were the plumbing was erratic. It worked for us but seemed to block easily for other customers, it needed humouring.
Staff was very professional and helpful. Location was great, very easy access by vaporetto everywhere and short walking distance over a bridge to main parts of Venice. Much easier to find than our first hotel in Venice. Great value breakfast for reasonable price (6 euros well spent!)
Our room was more like a large walk-in closet overcrowded by a full bed (there was barely room to get into the bed from either side and we are not big people). Needed to leave window open during the day for cooling off and was bothered by mosquitos all night. Bathrooms were shared, in poor repair and did not flush well (plumbing needs to be redone). Corners of the room had not been vacuumed for a while. We were disappointed as we paid $200 per night and had stayed in much better accommodations for two weeks on our travels, even in Venice, for $100 per night. Very poor value for the money in our opinion.
Location is more than great, stuff is very friendly and speaks english. Would totally recommend! Rooms are clean and very stylish :)
really dirty rooms and bathrooms. expencive for the quality.
Location away from mainstream
So noisy at night, could not sleep
We had a one of the cheaper rooms and although the room was tiny it was ok value for money. We didn't have much luggage and not sure what we would have done if we had more as there was hardly any floor space. But good for one or two nights.
