Alla Giudecca is a very nice hotel. The spacious apartments and the central location are wonderful. The breakfast is complete and the staff friendly. The apartments could use a little bit more charm refurbishment wise. |

The rooms are very beautiful, and it's a great old building. Like most Italian hotels, breakfast ends at 10. So since most people there are on holiday, everyone comes to breakfast at the same time (9.35 or so). There is one lady who makes the coffee fresh for each guest, and this system does not work at all. One day we waited nearly 30 minutes to get a cup of coffee! |

The history of the building was very interesting and the beautiful architecture was a bonus to our stay. The hotel's location was quiet and convenient for our needs. Our room was a nice size for a double and a good value for the price. The staff was very helpful and friendly. |

Great location in the heart of the old Ortygia, lots of character and attentive staff. The shower was tiny. |

Very attractive old building, beautifully restored with great taste. Our room comprised 2 bedrooms, living room, bathroom, cooking area and lovely terrace. Situated in a beautiful part of Syracuse - the island of Ortegia. Parking was easy, and you need a car to get around. The staff were friendly and the breakfast good. Ideal place to explore old Syracuse, but not for a beach holiday. |

Alla Giudecca is more beautiful than its website indicates. A restored medieval complex, each room being a vast suite in elegant white and wood decor, each room even having a kitchenette. Right in the centre of ancient Siracusa. Not exactly cheap, (though self catering possibilities would allow big savings for family groups) but a remarkable experience to stay there. Hot water system needs a little attention. |

Lovely apartment. Very helpful, friendly staff. Good breakfast in beautiful surroundings. A few minutes from the sea and located in the most beautiful area of Siracusa - Ortygia. Wonderful location and staff. Will return next year.........so much more to see. |

The hotel is charming, and the location in the heart of Ortigia is perfect for exploring all the sites. Although it's not possible to park in the tiny lane in which the hotel is located, there is free parking along the seafront one block away. The only complaint is that the lighting was very poor. It was very difficult to read in the low light. |

This hotel is right in the centre of the Medieval area of Ortygia, and is a beautiful conversion of old houses, my apartment was large and comfortable. I chose it because the write-up in my guide book intrigued me, and it more than met my expectations. |

Great lobby areas. Enjoyed the suite w/ the balcony and ocean views. Bedspread unique. Miqwe was very cool too. Unfortunately, wife could not go down to the miqwe b/c she was pregnant. Also, while the common areas were beautifully decorated, the suite itself had cool old prints but the frames looked like they were done by a teenager. Would be very simple to professionalize them. |

This is a really wonderful place, located right in the heart of the oldest part of Syracuse. It has been elegantly converted into a series of spacious suites, all with individual facilities. It is within easy walking distance of all the major sites, as well as some excellent local restaurants. The staff are all endless helpful, and it is just a fantastic place to stay. Highly recommended. |

The room was as described; with a balcony and view of the water. The breakfasts were excellent with muesli, yoghurt and rolls which was sufficient for us. |

The apartments were traditional and full of character and had been carefully restored in a simple and elegant fashion. The building was full of historical interest and the location in the heart of the old city and close to the sea was perfect. On first impressions the place seemed rather forbidding, but this sensation was soon dispelled. |

Having an apartment so we had somewhere to sit and read and could self cater if we wished. It was quiet & staff were friendly and helpful and spoke good English. The hotel was in a very interesting old building and the location was excellent for walking around Ortygia and, if you are a good walker, you could also walk to historic sites in Siracusa (catacombs & archeological park). Parking was problematic and the one way system made finding the hotel difficult. Each apartment seemed to have an outside private courtyard. It would have been good to have use of a barbecue for cooking fish (especially sardines) to keep cooking smells outside. The kitchenette was quite small (in a cupboard & one door didn't open fully) & there was no kettle or small saucepan. |

This hotel is delightful - full of charm and extremely clean. The cream stone adds to the atmosphere. Quiet and tasteful. A surprise to find a kitchenette and small balcony.Breakfast - good choice, maybe some fruit would have been nice but the coffee was excellent - real Italian coffee not the usual 'orzo' barley substitute.Fascinating having the Jewish baths below . |

Centrally located yet very quiet. We stayed in a beautiful suit with a terrace and took the tour of the Jewish baths. Can't wait to come back and stay longer! |

Helpful and friendly staff. Very interesting architecture which added to the ambience. Room facilities excellent and ideal location for visiting Ortigia. Recommend parking in the town car park only 10 mins walk away and 1 Euro per night! |

The room was a large multi-room apartment and made great use of the old building it was in. The public rooms were locked when no-one was on reception. It was also a very difficult location to find when first arriving. |

The room is actually an apartment with kitchen and livingroom and is huge. The building and it's history are very special The mikve is also visible when you don't sleep in this hotel, so why stay here? The room is basic, the breakfast is really bad. I decided both days to eat breakfast somewhere else after trying it here the first time. |
