My family of 5 thoroughly enjoyed our 2-night stay at Alle Ginestre. Costanzo and Teresa picked us up at Piazza Caprile and drove us to the B&B. We stayed in the 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment, which we felt was a good value for a family on Capri. There is a lovely outside patio that we enjoyed. Our hosts were lovely. Our apartment was spotless. We had a lovely stay and hope to return some day.

I would only caution those who aren't in good physical condition that the B&B is a 15-20 minute walk from AnaCapri.

We stayed in Alle Ginestre (a.k.a Le Ginestre) B&B last week. We enjoyed our stay very much in all angle. We were advised to stop at Piazza Caprile for a pick up from the host (Mr Costanzo and his lovely wife) but instead we stopped at Piazza Victoria (as was told by the bus driver that this would be the last stop - which is 1 stop before Piazza Caprile). We called Mr Costanzo and he came in just 5 mins' time to pick us up :) It is a small family run B&B with just 3 rooms and a bigger unit which he called it an apartment which is good for family with children. We were offered the green room which is at a corner with more privacy though it was a smaller room compared to the other 2. The room was spotless clean and the colour matching was superb. The bathroom was clean and pretty with hot shower. The host attend to little details even the rubbish bag matches the colour of the room (i know its not important, but it does show that he cares). Usually in B&B, there is no housekeeping. To our surprise, he made our room after we had a long day out. The breakfast was good with croissants (with butter and jam, if you like), lemon/chocolate cakes, some other pastries, cereal and juices. Not forgetting the esspresso he offered to boost the day. The breakfast serve from 8:30am - 10:30am but he can cater for you at different time. We told him that we need to catch an early ferry to Naples upon check out. He offered us early breakfast and also to fetch us all the way with his car to the Marina Grande (ferry port) as he thinks we may not able to manage it with public bus. He even advise us to take a ferry to Sorrento instead as this would be nearer to Pompei (our next destination) and shorter ferry ride. We took his advise and indeed the stop at Sorrento was so pleasant as compared to Naples. Ok, Costanzo only offers to pick up and drop off when we are with luggage (meaning upon check in and check out).

The view from the apartment was incredible. A great path and hiking trail with incredible views. Our hosts were very accommodating in shuttling us up and down the mountainside.

The accommodation is high up the hill so you get amazing view. It is not hard to get there though as the host agreed to pick up from the bus station. There was a nice restaurant closeby and two vista points again with a great voew. There is a terrace just for the apartment so that is really the place to be and chill over the stay. The breakfast was amazing with home made lemon cake. Apartment was clean and comfortable, definitely recommend the stay!

Mr Costanzo is really kind and he described us all the details that we need for Capri and he transfered us to bus stop for free. This BB has perfect see view and by just 8 min. walking you will reach panaroma point view for sunrise and sunset over the see and Fragioloni. If you can walk a bit I really recommend this (if you dont I will not suggest capri as its a perfect place for nature but by walking.

Excellent staff, excellent breakfast, excellent view from the sea and the sunset! Amazing. I recommend this hotel!

It's 1km far from Anacapri downtown by walk. This is just the pain point for those who wants to stay near downtown.

A lovely escape from the madness of Capri! Our host was very helpful.

We loved the walking, but it is not for those who do not like to walk.

Costanza and his family were terrific. He was a wealth of information. It would be helfpul if all this information were written down and in each room to refer back to, since you may be tired, as we were, when it was explained to us. Costanzo picked us up from the center of Anacapri when we called and shuttled us back when we needed to catch the bus back to Marina Grande. The room was a good size, bright and clean. The included breakfast had a pretty good variety of pastries, fruit and coffees. The size of our patio, which we shared with another couple was large and had a good view of the sea. A great place to relax and chill.

The recommendation Costanzo made of the nearby Ristorante da Gelsomina. Overpriced, and food was not all good. The location is a long walk from Anacapri, but for that reason is very quiet.

A warm welcome and a small but comfortable room with a good shower room with loads of hot water, The view is magnificent from the well presented balcony and the breakfast good. Very helpful host. Very clean room.

I think it would help if there was some arrangement to get to and from Annacapri easily, it is a long walk on a hot day and I feel that this could be arranged through a few well timed drop off and pick up times. It would boost business and our host tries so hard to welcome that this could be a great support to the B and B.

Constonzo and his wife were very nice and helpful with suggestions on what to do and great restaurants to eat at. Breakfast was wonderful. Great location beautiful view. Short walk to a pool that has an amazing view. Spent two weeks traveling Italy, the Island of Capri and these accommodations were the favorite part of out trip. Will be back and bring our husbands next time.

We just returned from 5 nights at Alle Ginestre Capri B&B, Anacapri. I would strongly discourage anyone from going there. The rooms are extremely basic or even dumpy. The scarce furniture is the shabbiest cheapest mdf-crap available. Rooms do not come with individual balconies but you need to share with the other guests. I felt like staying in a shabby hostel knowing that I had to spend 710 Eur for 5 nights, it was really depressing. The location is terrible – the house is more than 25 minute walk from anywhere and is not located in a nice isolated area in the middle of nature, but it’s surrounded by other houses. So it offers none of the benefits of being in a remote location. If the room rates were about 60 Eur per night I would have put up with it despite all the inconveniences. But they were charging us 140 Eur per night which is simply absurd for what you get. We enquired in a few hotels in Anacapri and most had hotel rooms available and for 120 Eur per night you could get a beautiful room with all conveniences and individual balcony right in the center of town. Don’t get fooled by the good reviews. They are based on nothing more than the owner’s false friendliness – the same story being told over and over to all new guests during breakfast (how he bakes his own cake from home-made limoncello), sharing a tourist map with recommendations of places to go and see (that’s nice but the island is 10m2 and all the sights are advertised everywhere, in each guidebook and very well-marked – you really don’t need to be paying hundreds of euros surcharge for this service). Needless to say, I tried to check out early but was told that I would be charged the full price anyhow. I am not one to complain or waste time writing reviews but this time I felt it was my duty to warn other travelers from making the same mistake. Have a great time in Capri. It is an absolutely wonderful place.

Costanzo and his family were wonderful, accommodating and helpful. The B&B is beautiful, bathroom large by Italy standards. Wonderful hilltop views.

While I didn't mind the walk, the B&B is located a bit of a hike from the nearest bus stop which might be an issue for some.

The view was great! Staff friendly and accommodating!! Will pick you up at the bottom of the hill and bring you back when you check out.

This B&B is not conveniently located. Is best for young people who do not mind loads of walking (not accessible easily to Bus or Anacapri). This is the only place we have ever stayed that had no area maps to give you. Breakfast is not until 8:30 so hard to get an early start sightseeing. We came with groceries from the market at the bottom of the hill to eat while there BUT the refrig. was SO Small we could hardly get anything in it!! Was a rest. down from it if you wish to eat all meals out. Rooms are small but clean.
