I have returned to Ladispoli after over 20 years - in my teens I spent some memorable summer holidays there, as my relative used to live in Ladispoli.
This is a typical commuters town, so do not expect crowds of tourists! This means that you have an opportunity to enjoy shopping and eating out with locals - so, the quality of food is great and prices reasonable. Beautiful, black-sanded beach to relax on after sightseeing Rome. For more active - there is a sport centre where you can hire some watersport equipment or book lessons. Alternatively, you can enjoy miles of walks along the beach!
For ancient history fans - check out the "next door town" of Cerveteri with its world-famous Etruscan museum and necropolis.
And Rome - it is only 30-40 min by train.
Highly recommended if you do not mind to commute a bit to Rome.

Stopped by Ladispoli for a break and to have a drink. Enjoyed the lounge chairs while listening to great music (Bossa Nova Covers - Spotify). There is WiFi available to guests. Way too short of a visit but plan to return.

Ladispoli is primarily visited by Italians, but came across some English also. Most hotels and bars speak English and are eager to do so. Lots of good restaurants, mostly service fish on the seafront.

For a beach close to Roma it was as expected, the rubbish on the beaches and on the streets are an issue it’s a pity the local shop owners don’t take more pride in picking up rubbish outside their shops. We bought locally and ate at home. You can get a super large pizza for €10 and a 2 flavor gelato for €1:50 nearby although they’re is only so many carbs one can eat! Stone fruits and figs were amazing!! The sand is black volcanic sand expect it to be hot hot hot

We chose Ladispoldi for its convenience for dropping off our rental car - 37km to Fuimicino Airport and took around 40 mins so perfect for us.
Typical little beach town and has a few restaurants etc. Many of the residents work in Rome but choose to live in this quiet area.
The La Posta Vecchia Hotel was a pleasant surprise, a hidden gem close to Fiumicino Airport. We spent three nights before departing Italy, following a trip to Positano and Rome. The hotel manager was kind enough to upgrade us to the beautiful Tower Suite with views over the ocean. The Cocktail Bar was a quiet oasis to relax and read, and the food and service in the restaurant were excellent. We enjoyed touring the grounds and walking the promenade of the nearby beach. It is a spectacular hotel, and we will definitely be back.
Alessandra and Antonia were so warm and welcoming,
We had the king room with a beach view.
The room was cool and clean (everything you need for our stay, white towels, white bedding, love the view)...
We explored Italy from here but also loved the local daily markets and restaurants.
Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts, they helped us understand Italian better.. the areas and nearby beaches and towns.
Thank you for making our stay “perfecto”
Our stay was great, perfect location for a short weekend in Ladispoli to visit family. The jacuzzi was amazing and wowed us all. The apartment was super clean and beautifully decorated. As we were there only for the weekend, we didn't use all the facilities, but we couldn't wish for a better place to stay. We were nearby our family, in the Piazza Domitilla there's a bar and supermarket, only a 2min walk away from the apartment. Host was extremely nice.
A gem of a place. A few steps away from city centre and beach.
The ‘half board’ deal included Breakfast and a delicious 4 course dinner. The staff was very polite and efficient for my needs. A special ‘thank you ‘ to the lovely cleaner on the fifth floor who made my stay so clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this lierle paradise hotel th
Thank you so much to all the staff for making my stay there MAGIC!
A very spacious apartment with a creative spirit and a good aura. We spent 10 days in a cozy atmosphere. Everyone had their own bedroom. The beds are very comfortable. My parents really liked it. Thanks to the owners for the nice bonus.
Excellent location: beach 5 minutes, train station 7 minutes, central street 5 minutes, nearby Pasticiria, pharmacy.
Very nice and helpful staff. Clean room. (Except some ants.) Beds and pillows were very good. Little pool in the backyard was nice. You can also use a bigger pool at the restaurant only 10 minutes walk or 5 minutes by bicycle which you can have for free. Nice beaches also close (Torre Flavia, Black Sand...).
The room was for 2 people and not for 3 like the one I reserved and paid for and it didn't overlook the sea like the room I reserved and they also charged me for the 3rd person, breakfast and beach were very good
Really great place outside of Rome and close to the beach. The hosts and the meals were amazing. We were able to walk here from the train station (it’s not close but it is possible). Easy walk to the beach.
Breakfast not included. The location was more than perfect. Five minutes from grocery store. Two minutes to the beach. Coffee bar across the street. Several restaurants close by. Very quiet neighborhood.
Great place which is close to the beach and a short train ride to Rome. The Host responds quickly and answers all your question. The apartment is clean and beautiful.
Very welcoming and friendly host, extremely clean and cosy flat, (literally a minute walk to a beach)! Great shops, restaurants and food markets nearby.
