On the waterfront in the heart of Venice, B&B La Corte Dei Dogi is just a few steps from Arsenale Vaporetto (water bus) stop and the Biennale exhibition hall. It offers elegant rooms with free Wi-Fi.

Score from 495 reviews Good
It was close to the waterbus stop and close to St Mark Square and Rialto Bridge. Room was very spacious. Aircondtioning.
Shower needs cleaning from black mould. Place seemed deserted in the evening and felt a bit unsafe as someone tried to open our bedroom door. Breakfast at 8.00am starts late in my opinion.
Good sized rooms, clean and friendly. Close to Ospedale vaporetto stop. Easy waterbus to airport.
Nothing to dislike.
Great rooms and ok breakfast. Good host
Difficult to get to via vaporetto with suitcases.
Away from tourist areas but transport convenient and within walking distance of tourist sites. Large rooms
Breakfast repetitive. Shower dodgy.
Location excellent..near to water bus stop & restaurant. Owner very helpful. Room was great for a short break.
Mosquito's..but Venice problem not hotel's. Breakfast
The continental breakfast would improve if fresh fruit were added.
Liked the staff very much. Very helpful!
Plumbing issues on our last day at the hotel.
Great location with easy access to the airport and everything else. Quiet neighborhood, safe and extremely friendly
The owners were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The place was far from the crazy crowds at San Marco and this was just what we wanted. The vaporetto is five minutes away at most.
The breakfast was a bit skimpy.
Very quiet; friendly staff
Some distance from the main tourist areas of Venice. Wi Fi in group area excellent but poor in our room
Location Helpful Management and Stafff
We had just finished a 12 day cruise ending in Venice and only needed a room for one night. Faustus, the owner, was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. He showed us maps to help us navigate the canals, use the water taxis and get to the airport. He actually emailed us directions to get to the hotel a few days before we were to arrive which would have helped us tremendously if we hadn't been on the cruise ship at the time with no access to email. There are only 8 rooms in the building. The unit was adequate size with a queen bed, small dormitory fridge, air conditioning and private bathroom. It was quite clean and comfortable and fine for a one or two night stay. A small continental style breakfast was included in the price. It was fairly close to St. Mark's square where most of the historical attractions are (probably a ten minute walk) but not so close as to have crowds of people or a lot of noise. Actually it is close to the hospital too but we were never bothered by that. It was quick and easy to take a water taxi (15 euros each) to the airport from that part of the island.
1. Very helpful and friendly staff (Mr Fausto Maroder, the host, was really fabulous). 2. Quite spacious and clean room with fridge, TV, air con, safe & view onto gardens, nice bathroom with hair dryer and bidet. 3. Good location - easy to get from the airport (Ospedale vaporette stop nearby), 10-15 mins walk from St. Mark's square and Rialto bridge area. 4. Free stable wi-fi connection (good speed). 5. Breafast may not be sufficient (unless you are Italian) but it is OK and served in a nice atmosphere. All in all, Aloggia Barbaria is a good budget accommodation. It may not be fancy but it is excellent value for money.
Nothing really. Maybe just that towels could be changed more often.
the reception area was poor with no facilities
The place is good located, far from crowds, but very close to vaporetto station, very easy to get from the airport. It's easy to find the place (it's important for Venice), supermarket is near the hotel. The room is basic, just white walls without any decorations. Meanwhile the bed was rather comfortable and it was a very quite place, silent neighborhood, good place to have night rest. We were at the middle of April and it was a bit cold there. It could be a good idea for owners to switch on heating for nights. Breakfast was ok.
There was two dark hairs in our shower and on glass near the sink when we entered the room.
Clean, good location, friendly stuff
First night was really cold because both the air conditioner and the heating didn't work. We noticed this only late in the evening after a long walk. When we called Fausto he said he can't help until tomorrow. It was also cold outside. And in addition the room had stone floors. Poor breakfast.
Staff very helpfull only 10 min walk from saint marks square. Room smallish but quite comfortable.
Near vaporetto, grocery store
Spartan breakfast. No staff to attend to guests at night. Public area not appealing
Fausto and his wife are very friendly and helpful. Spacios room, very tidy. Safe box, fridge in the room. Perfect location: quiet area, no crowds, a minute walk from vaporetto stop and very close to San Marco.
Sufficient, but not so "choicy" breakfast.
Very helpful and friendly owners. Clean and spacious room with a comfy bed. In an excellent location. Quiet residential area yet short 15 min walk to St.Marks Square. Good restaurants nearby. Great budget accommodation which is excellent value for money.
Nothing not to like. Couldn't fault it.
very friendly stuff. perfect location. nice price.
permanent problems with wi-fi.
the owner, Mr fausto was very friendly and willing to help; the location was ok: 10 minutes walk to San Marco; the room was ok for a two stars hotel.
1. The staff. Nice and friendly. Although not all can speak good English, but they try their best to help. Quick response to my emails. They provided directions to the centre. 2. The breakfast. Not much choices (2 rolls, jam, butter, cheese, 1 croissant, tea/coffee/hot chocolate) but it was OK and quick. The table setting is lovely though. 3. The location. 3 min from Ospedale vaperetto stop on foot. (Not very difficult if you have heavy baggage like us as there is no bridge or stairs). COOP supermarket is nearby. About 15 mins from St Mark's square on foot. You can see much in the city. 4. The room and bathroom (with hair dryer). Quiet, clean, comfortable and very spacious for 3 persons. The room was ready at about 11am (which is nice) and you only pay when you check out. 5. The minibar. With reasonable price. 6. Free Wi-Fi. Great speed.
1. The room has no rugs so it gets really cold when we walked on it (we were barefooted in the room).
Fausto, our host was fabulous. He speaks 4 or 5 languages fluently, is very kind, patient, generous and helpful. We were able to get last minute tickets through him to hear Vivaldi at one of the churches nearby. The location is fantastic, a five minute walk from the "Osbedale Vaporetto stop", which is serviced by the fast and slow boats around the Lagoon, as well as the airport water boat, which takes @ 35-40 minutes. The # 4.2 Vaporetto leaves to cruise the islands in the Lagoon directly from here to Cemetary Island and then as far as you want to explore. The common area is very pleasant, not fancy, and has a nice little terrace, only one flight of stairs up and convenient to a market just down by the dock. It is only a 15 minute walk to San Marco or the Academia and Rialto Bridge area. It is very safe to be out at night there and in all of Venice. There is a small refrigerator in the room and Fausto loaned us a small hot water pot to make tea after hours!
We wished for face cloths, like all Americans to enjoy the very nice shower with lots of hot water!
Cheap, Friendly, Good Location
Very small, no privacy, room directly connected to breakfast room
