Close to railway station and easy walking to centre of town.good value.Farrera great town
bathroom door jammed on floor .bed comfortable enough but base very creaky
Very late arrival, landlords put keys in mailbox, but still waited for us to arrive. Were so hospitable. Room small but comfortable. Very clean, elevator, between train station and centre. Very handy.
The location is perfect.
Noisy because of location at junction of busy roads. Mosquitoes and other bugs in room. Too late to use insect repellent which was provided when we discovered pesky mozzies.
-Convenient location not far from the train station. It is a ten minute walk to reach the city center, but it is not a big problem. Via Garibaldi is very near.
-My "double bed" was two single beds joint by a large sheet. -Check-in by appointment only.
The staff at the reception is very helpful and kind. Position wise the apartment is well located. 10 minutes walk from the train station, 5 minutes walk from old town and main attractions. Big room, spacious storage and very clean. Perfect for 1-2 nights stay.
The bed frame was a bit squeaky. However the mattress and sleeping was comfortable.
Friendly greeting in this small hotel--only 6 rooms. All with A/C and Wifi. Very comfortable beds, spotlessly clean bathroom with shampoo and soap provided. And an easy walk to the Center.
Unprepossessing apartment building entry. Easy to miss with a small sign. On the 5 th floor. But there is an elevator so it's not really a problem.
Clean rooms Very close to both the station and the city centre Low budget Quiet place Gentle staff
Beds weren't too comfortable
Value for money is the best part of this place. It's not in a charming part of Ferrara, but it's less than a 10 minute walk to the nice areas.
The large double bed that filled the room, the small but attractive balcony, large shower room
the non 24hr reception, been asked when I was to arrive, which for any journey is impossible to accuretely predict, especially after trecking around the town for more then an hour and getting very lost. If it wasnt for my world master traveller savie I would not of been able to gain access to the hotel that occupies the top floor of an apartment block. As with other commentators its so difficult to actually locate the right location. A large sign needs to be hung above the entrance to make it clear that this door is the one to the hotel.
Loved the size of the rooms, great shower! Good position for centre of Ferrara and train station.
Could be a bit noisy with traffic and people at night as it was a main crossroads. This calmed down at one am.
Excellent location, close to the train station and close to the city center. Quiet, clean and comfortable.
Location is great, staff was fantastic, room was clean. Good food in the restaurant below (with 10% discount).
Walls were very thin, we could hear everything that was happening in the rooms next to us.
Rooms were good. Staff was helpful. Very good restaurant in front. Great food, very reasonable.
value for money
Close to station
Noise from corridor
Easy to reach the old city center
5th floor and small elevator
Very clean and new furniture!
Drainage of the shower not working properly!
Very conveniently positioned for rail station and city centre attractions and restaurants. Comfortable room. Good sized bed and nice shower room.
This was the smallest room I have stayed in, but also the most comfortable! It was quiet at night, although not soundproof. The private bathroom was a very happy surprise when my reservation had indicated a shared bathroom (I think it was a recent change that now every room has a private bathroom?). There is an elevator. It has an excellent proximity to the train station. There are many good places to eat steps from the front door. All in all I was sad when it came time to check out of Alloggio Cavour and leave Ferrara.
Really, there is not too much negative to say about Alloggio Cavour. The smell of the water/the drains smelled like sewer occasionally, but this is not an uncommon occurrence in Italy in general (and they had an air freshener in the bathroom which masked the smell very well if you can stand it). The room is not soundproof, and the doors don't quite block out the noise of the hallway if others are walking through or talking. A pair of earplugs does the trick just fine if you happen to be a light sleeper. But there is hardly any noise from the city.
Great position, clean and quite rooms. The staff was really helpful!
Shower gel was empty at my arriving.
the location was very good, near castle and train station, bus stops are very close to the hotel. the staff were kind and helpful.
the room size was small, but it was OK.
The staff were very friendly upon arrival, showed us where everything was and gave us relevant information regarding our stay.
The sign of the hotel is a small plaque on a window as the hotel is an apartment on the top floor. We walked past the hotel about 5 times before finding it.
Very good value for money. Confortable room equipped with everything needed (hair dryer, toiletries, TV etc). No breakfast service but there is a coffee machine in the hall outside the rooms. Nice little restaurant/deli on the ground floor of the building (also take away). About 5/8 minutes walking to the Castello and 3 minutes walking to free parkings. Recommended for a budget and friendly accomodation.
There is no 24h reception- just make sure to contact them before arrival. Very friendly and available.
