Staff is very arrogant and impolite. We tipped the staff in advance and this did not help at all. First, at arrival the staff suggested we were late, not caring we had to stay in a traffic jam for over 2 hours. We asked for some arrangements on the valentines day which were horribly implemented. To be fair, we asked for a bouqet of flowers, some rose petals on the bed and a bottle of champagne. The flowers were left on the table with no water, they faded by the time we arrived. No rose petals on the bed. The bottle was no there also. Moreover, since this was a suprize, my partner didnt know about it. At the arrival, the staff asked if we want the bottle now or later, spoiling her expectations. The room was ugly, not even close to how it looked on the picture, there was a cigarrette in the trash bin and the smell was just insane. The rooms were some filled up with bad smell I still can fill it in my lungs. If you decide for this hotel, please, think twice because this is an expensive option with zero value for your money
The room is beautiful, very clean very tidy, great location, walking distance from main attractions. Staff are very nice, especially housekeeper, we are three girls stayed in a triple room, the next morning the room was pretty mess but at night when we were back we found out every where been cleaned and even our clothes been fold nicely！I was sleeping in a single bed but I didn't like the position of pillow has set, so I changed it. Next night I found my bed set has changed into the position I like, it was so thoughtful and so sweet! I like this place and already recmended to all my friends!
good Location - 5 mins walk from Santa Maria Novella - Main station of Florence as well as from San Lorenzo cathedral and Duomo. Nice room - spacious, tea/coffee facilities in room. Clean spacious bathroom with shower. The hair dryer is a bit awkward - stange on/off system, but usable. Good choice at breakfast
The staff was horrible to us. Partially my fault that I have not noticed little script note on booking saying that reception is closing at 20.00. Though there is no mentioning what time they open in the morning. I have contacted the hotel before arrival via email as we had to leave early for 7 am train and then catch very short connection flight home. Antonella kindly replied regarding the early breakfast that they will fix something and "we won't be hungry". The evening before leaving we arrived 2015-2030 - reception closed, called the mobile as we wanted to pay for our stay and arrange some breakfast. The staff member who answered the mobile was very rude on the phone and not only he didn't care of arranging breakfast promissed, he also advised that there will be nobody there before 7 am for us to pay therefore we should wait till that time. I tried to explain that we need to catch the early train and then the plane, so can't wait, but he wouldn't listen and wouldn't offer any solutions to the problem. So I suggested that we'll leave the key in the room and the hotel will withdraw the money from the card based on the card details they have, he agreed. The next morning at 0630 before leaving to the station I popped in to see whether there is a small chance of anybody in the reception to pay by card, though I probably should have just left for train based on the phone call the evening before. And surprise!surprise! -there was a person there laying down the tables for breakfast. I paid by card, he was very grumpy although I made them a big favour by paying on place otherwise they would have to deal with my bank probably for another week trying to get their money. Getting the fee for the hotel is meant to be a joint responsibility, so they could have reminded us the morning before about early closure of reception and ways to pay given that they had been warned of us leaving early.
The location is really good. The staff is always ready to help. They actually helped me to book the museums and skip the huge lines... That was priceless. Also they booked an awesome tour to Siena and another towns which i recomend. Breakfast is very honest.
The room for a single person was to small and Could be very noisy as its located close to a door. But I definitly recomend The place.
Situation. Breakfast. Friendly staff.
Great location Friendly staff Good breakfast Very pretty
Room can get cold at night, in winter. Wifi not great
Allora was a great place only a 5min walk from the station. Close to main attractions. The staff were excellent and helpful. Wifi great, room was just adorable with tea and coffee facilities. Thank you everyone at Alloro for helping is make many memorable memories.
The bed was a bit hard for me but not my daughter.
7-8 mins walking from the train stations, 7-8 mins walking to Duomo, central location, friendly staff
minimal breakfast, hot water was not constantly flowing, wifi signal was weak. For the price they charge they must sure the above are provided adequately.
10 minnutes walk to train station, the cathedral and gallery of academy within walking distance. Very spacious room with nice decoration and tea making facility. Great breakfast. Friendly staff. The building was nice as well.
Two sides of our room were facing the streets. The room was not soundproofing at all. So sometime it's very noisy at night. The bathroom was small compared to the room. Wifi was weak sometimes.
This was my second stay at this property. My first was as a solo traveler and this time was with my wife. The location is excellent, Christian and his family and staff are very nice, and the room had a balcony with a view of The Duomo and a cieling with a Renaissance-style painting. What's not to love!?!?
Excellent location; helpful management; beautiful rooms/lovely building; nice breakfast; quiet; clean
Nothing; highly recommend the Alloro to anyone without any hesitation.
Delicious breakfast, lovely basket of snacks, lovely choice of vines and drinks, little details like a note book. Lovely place!
Had to go up for the breakfast, down and up on the other side to the room… But we get used too.
The location The excellent buffet breakfast Close to all Tourist attractions Fairly quiet for centre of a city
Room next to a lift!
A quiet nights' sleep in a comfy bed and the amazing frescos on the ceiling. All you needed for a city break in this beautiful city.
Location n convenience
Very quaint B&B, excellent location (within easy reach from Florence SMN train station and centrally located in the heart of Florence). Security is good and street access is safe at night for a solo traveller.
Nice room decor
Breakfast was poor, very little to choose from . Shower very small even though bathroom was very large, we have had larger shower on cruse ships.
The service was amazing. The location is so convenient. It's 5mins walk from the station and 15mins walk to Ponte Vecchio. Close to a laundromat and great places to eat.
The beds in our room were so hard that we hardly had any sleep.
Very nice tiny hotel, as if I stay in home. The boss are very friendly. 就像住在欧洲贵族家里做客一样。如果想要体验这样的旅行，这里是非常好的选择。
Staff was helpful and the rooms were cute, having a unique Italian flare. The location was perfect - close to the train station and plenty of great tourist attractions. Price was also reasonable!
Lovely airy room with high ceilings. Close to duomo and most sights, but slightly out of the fray. Very helpful staff.
What a treasure! Very nice owner, very clean, best location! Nice breakfast!
-close to the train station -absolutely BEAUTIFUL hotel -the rooms are beautiful and spacious -free breakfast & wi-fi -very nice and helpful staff
In a word...location!
The single room was far too small and didn't have a view.
The location was close to the train station and the duomo. The coffee was good.
Our room was dark and there was no table.
