Score from 397 reviews Very good
Staff: they helped us a lot (car rental, places to go, reservations in the restautants, advices, everything!). The breakfast, the views, the location, the rooms (decoration and space), the basket of fresh fruit every morning...
The beds were really comfortable and the room was very clean. Loved the fresh fruit in the room! The breakfast was also very good! Rent a car to see all the beautiful beaches! Very close to the beach and beautiful views from the rooftop pool!
Friendly welcome, roof top pool, close to beach, balcony - to dry beach gear, comfortable bed
Wifi connection was bad, bathroom facilities old: bath towl holder came off & shower door nearly fell apart, bad insolation: so every noise was heard, had some issues with the key card & air con to start with. Staff was helpful though to find a solution
Swimming pool on top floor great when sick of the beach which is immediately opposite hotel. Staff fantastically helpful, breakfast good, position great with a pleasant walk to historic centre and only a 10 minute drive to the airport. 40 minute drive to Stintino and the gorgeous clear waters of the beaches there.
Bathroom was smallish but adequate .
Roof top pool Outside 4th storey breakfast area Helpful staff at reception
Breakfast - could the juices be labelled - each morning the same query as we attempted to try and find the orange juice amongst the other juices. WIFI connection very poor at times
Quite pricey relative to the quality
That it had a traditional feel, was simple without being basic.
Would have been a bonus for my teenage son to have a double bed as well as me.
This was a real surprise! Staff were excellent and recommended some key places to see and restaurants to try. We stayed in the deluxe room and was very clean, felt fresh, and a real pleasure to be staying in. Breakfast was fantastic - they even baked their own croissants! The swimming pool on the rooftop looked clean although we didn't get to swim in it. A fantastic value for money place and worth reccommending.
Wi-fi didn't work for us.
Everything was as expected
The pool at the roof and the breakfost with a view.
Great location and breakfast was always very pleasant.
Most staff didn't speak English and the one lady who did wasn't helpful at all.
Nice view from the top floor terrace. Good breakfast.
Car parking 15€/day Anonymous building. Looks like a backyard apartment building with no signs identifying it as a hotel. 20 minutes walk to the city. Hotel bikes are not free.
More of a business hotel. Not cozy at all. A pool bar would be nice, but as it is right now it's not a nice area to be in.
Breakfast choice and quality was excellent. Pool and rooftop terrace incredible. Rooms very clean and fresh. 401 the best room - spacious balcony. Mini bar excellent value. Location perfect- just across from town beach and 20 walk from beautiful Maria Pia beach. Pleasant walk into Alghero town 20 min along the front. Amazing cocktail bar 'Maracaibo' just opposite the hotel - lively music, good atmosphere and excellent service. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. An excellent hotel for quiet relaxing. Don't hesitate to book!
Having to ever leave.

Friendly staff, good English. Plenty of choice for breakfast.
Hotel was not on beech front, as I expected. No views! Weather was windy and cloudy for 2 days mid-July!
The hotel was extremely clean and the staff were very polite and helpful. The breakfast was very enjoyable and the rooftop pool a delight. The complimentary use of a courtesy room on our departure day was particularly appreciated.
Staying on the 3rd floor we were woken each morning by staff preparing the breakfast room as they dragged chairs across the floor at 7.00am.
Helpful front staff
Quite far from the old town, the bathroom shower head didn't work properly, the rooms are a little old, the rooftop pool was very small and they didn't provide pool towels.
We had stayed at Alma before, and as with our previous visit, it was a pleasure. The proximity to the beach and the twenty minute stroll to town make the location ideal. The 'superior' room which we had is roomy, very comfortable indeed, and we particularly like the cool blue decor. ( please don't change it !) As always, The staff are most helpful and pleasant. We would single out Signora Carla Deriu as exceptionally kind , welcome, efficient and helpful in every way. Thank you ! The cleaning is first class. The refurb of the hotel last year, with the addition of the rooftop swimming pool new foyer , bar, and the de luxe rooms have added a fine new dimension to the hotel. Congrats to owner, management and staff. We look forward to returning.
We cannot come up with any dislike - and we are very discriminating having stayed in top hotels worldwide.
Rooftop pool and breakfast on terrace with views. Very good staff. Quiet. Location next to beach.
Basic rooms, furniture, decoration not 4* in appearance. Terrible wifi, the worst I have experienced. Somewhat expensive.
Lovely hotel, fairly modern although still hints of the traditional Sardinian style. Great variety at breakfast buffet. Friendly and welcoming staff. Great facilities in the room - fridge (minibar) and safe were very useful. The location is great, although a good 15/20 mins walk to the old part of the town, it is on the seafront, by the beach and close to some nice bars on the promenade. I will add - the walk to the old part of the town is well lit and an enjoyable way to soak up the atmosphere of the town so I wouldn't let this put you off!
The wifi was terrible and pretty much unusable - do not need to rely on using it. A lot of the fixtures in the room were broken, particularly the bathroom. For example - the toilet seat wasnt properly attached and the towel rails and toilet holders were loose on the wall meaning things kept falling. Nothing major but disappointing for what is overall an excellent hotel.
right on the beach---a 20 minute walk into the wonderful walled old town...
traffic continuous, mediocre breakfast-
I liked the pool, the breakfast and renting the bikes.
Miscommunication due to language barrier.
Very friendly and helpful staff, good breakfasts, rooftop pool (but cold), large bedrooms, easy stroll into the centre of town along the seafront.
Bathrooms could do with being spruced up. Some obnoxious guests insisting on playing their music for the displeasure of all on the roof terrace (never heard of headphones, guys?)
Location, breakfast, rooftop pool all great
Perfectly acceptable hotel but not four-star. Expect a three-star experience and you won't be disappointed!
