The general location
Everything else other than the location. Shared bathroom was awful. Sloping floors. Sloping beds. Intermittent wifi and only in the hallway. Too many stairs to drag luggage up. Need I continue?
Location. Building. Room very nice and enoughly wide. Price.
Bad quality of beds. we has asked 3 beds, even we jad only 2. Toilette was shared, It was not the arrengement.
hotel's facilities were clean/modern private bathroom provided with towels/toiletries 15-20 minute ride from city center great value for money free wi-fi stored luggage after early arrival, until room was ready included great breakfast
staff wasn't very friendly/welcoming area around hotel doesn't have a night life/seems a bit sketchy
Not too expensive for such a central location if you' re only staying for a night or two, and not expecting much (shared bathrooms and thin walls). Staff were quite friendly and helped by giving us a mosquito coil after we got savaged on the first night.
Our room was beside the office and had originally been the same room which was partitioned off, so feel there was no privacy during the day/evening. Also I found the decor a bit depressing, the lack of toilet paper at times was annoying, and the amount of mosquitos really disturbing.
Relatively quiet location. Close to RialtoBridge and short walk to Piazza San Marco. Clean rooms.
No breakfast. Weak WiFi = not available in rooms. Only fair value (expected in Venice). Shared bathrooms. Difficult to find (expected in Venice)
Great location, nice and clean and friendly staff
Was very hard to locate
Poor furnishing.. Needs replacement urgently. NO AC in room NO refrigrator Will not recommend to anybody
This place is good for back packers and for short stays. It is located very close to Rialto water bus station which is very convenient for moving around. The area is also lively and is full of cheap food joints.
This place is not really a hotel but more of a house turned into rooms to stay. Hence there are no boards to direct the incoming guests to the property. It is inconvenient for guests who wish to check in early as there is no one in the front desk (actually an office room in the big house) before 10.30 am. It is also not possible for guests to leave their baggage in the property for a while after check out which is really inconvenient. The toilets are shared by four rooms and hence are dirty most of the time.
The traditional furniture of a family room. The balcony overlooking to the churche. The near by location to RIALTO bridge.
The second bed was not comfortable, although it was quite large.
This worked well for 3 of us, we had a double bed and couch bed with shared bathroom facilities right next to our door.
A little confusing to find the first day.
Hotel is basic but so are we. The owner was very helpful with phone calls in Italy.
Finding the first time. Go to St Michaels church front door, look left see the alley with the phone symbol, go down turn right in the courtyard and you will see the door buzzers.
Good location Friendly staff Clean
Suggest the foldable double bed in the family room be replaced with something more solid and comfortable (as this is what parents get to sleep in if you've got 2 kids). Not a major problem though.
The owner was rude. He tired to overcharge us. Wifi works only in the corridor, not in the rooms. The shared bathroom is not clean enough. It is difficult to find the hotel.
The location was good. İt was just few minutes to the rialto bridge which is an important passage through the grand canal to the other side. We arrived before the check in time and still they gave us a room
No wifi in the rooms. To noisy at night but this is because of its central location. The shared bathroom was unclean when we arrived but this can be because of the time we arrived. We arrived before the check in time. Then they cleaned it each day
Five managed well for 2nights but too hot for comfort. Great location.
Better if fridge available.
Great location near Rialto bridge Everything is nearby
Sharing toilet with others! It was a surprise! The price is above the average to offer not single bathroom!
Great attention to our needs.
We liked everything
The hotel is located in a popular area, although finding the hotel is another story... Not a bad ho(S)tel if you don't expect too much. I saw many negative comments about the wifi, but it worked perfectly fine for me! Staff is friendly and hotel seemed clean.
Finding the hotel is difficult, it is hidden away in a very narrow alley, google maps will give you a general idea of the location but will still be tricky, all I can say is pay attention to the house numbers. We stayed in the room with private bathroom, which was convenient but the shower is very very tiny! No way you can wash your hair in this, you could use the shared shower which is right outside the room. For what you get it's very pricey. It's more a hostel than anything else. There is no real reception and staff is not always there. The description says there is airconditioning in room, this was not the case, it was cool enough at night to sleep with the windows open. Not a bad place, just don't expect much!
The location is a very old, very Venetian building in the heart of Venice. Close to the Rialto Bridge. Our unit came with 12 ft. ceilings and period furniture. It was on the funky side but clean and enjoyable. The staff was helpful and the linens were nice and crisp.
We were eaten alive by mosquitoes. We had to keep the large windows open for ventilation, hence the flying insects.
Staff was very helpful.
A slight challenge to find in Venice with all the waterways but could not be helped.
The location is good - in an expensive part of town. If all you need is a bed this hostel will do.
The website lied about wifi, there is not wifi in all areas - only in one narrow hallway with uncomfortable chairs. The room was run down, the double was two uncomfortable singles pushed together. A shared bathroom.. This was a hostel with the price tag of a hotel.
The location was perfect and the building was typical of Venice. It was right in the centre of Venice, walking distance to all the famous landmarks, tourist destinations, shopping, restaurants.
Would be helpful to know the access is down a laneway but this did not detract from our enjoyment of the venue.
Very clean facilities and very helpful staff
Would have liked a small fridge to store drinks etc.
