A noble beginning of the Fifteenth century building, a precious gem of Venice located in the heart of the old Venice, Al Sole Hotel is a first class hotel, situated in a marvellous 15th century building. The property belongs to one famous Venetian family called "Marcello".
Hotel Al Sole still preserves the atmosphere of an ancient palace that stands in front of the Tolentini Canal.

The common rooms are distributed amongst reception, hall, dining room and the delightful indoor garden (a real privilege for a hotel in Venice) where breakfast is served during the mild season and where guests may spend their free time. Breakfast is a buffet and proposes a wide selection of sweet and savory foods, homemade cakes, fresh fruit ect.. There is lift for our 3 floors.

Lovely, big room (Superior canal view), which was kept meticulously by
the staff. Tasty buffet breakfast in a pretty garden setting. Very
conveniently situated near the bus station, vaporetto stop and Frari,
but still very peaceful. The hotel has a lot of charm and the staff were
very helpful. We enjoyed our stay very much.

It's off the tourist trap, but at the same time a central and nice spot

Breakfast was not very inspiring with cold eggs and just black coffee. Better control over the keys in the reception. Anyone could have asked for my key..

The location was fantastic, and the hotel was situated on a really pretty quiet street overlooking the canal. The bed was comfy. The outdoor breakfast area was lovely and the breakfast good too, though the pigeons outside were a bit problematic and had to be chased away from people's breakfast plates!

It was easy to reach the hotel from the airport with the bus. The rooms
were good to sleep. Everything was working.

It was a little far away from the centre of Venice.

The position is great! Very nice and typical place in Venice and a very
good strategy position close to the parking... The hotel is very nice
and lovely, we definitely would stay there again.

There was only one thing, we didn´t like. The birds in the very nice
garden, where really bad, because it can happen, that your table is full
off these birds eating your breakfast!! Finaly we gave up and enjoyd our
breakfast inside in the breakfast room with air condition...:-)) It´s a
pity, that the nice garden has this handicap, but nothing dramatic, if
you know that before...

Excellent location(our opinnion). Hotel Staff. Free boat trip to Murano.
Venetian style hotel.

Room walls seems to be too thin, you can easily hear what's happening
in corridor or other rooms. Our room was classic double. Bed is
pretty hard.

the staff could not have been more helpful, the location was great. it took lest than 10 minutes for us to walk to the main bus or train station, 20 minutes to rialto bridge and about 35 minutes of relaxed walking to marks square.

i would struggle to find any faults with this hotel.

bathroom was clean and very comfortable. The great location was perfect.

The location is ideal - out of the tourist area, yet near enough to the
car park (the only spot where the taxis and buses drop you off) that you
can walk comfortably to the hotel lugging suitcases. The staff went out
of their way to be helpful, and the building itself is gorgeous and
offered a truly authentic experience of Venice. Perfection!! Grazie!!

Nothing - it was ideal and I hope we can stay there again!
