Hotel Altavilla  

Hotelul Altavilla este situat central, în apropiere de gara Termini, pe via Principe Amedeo, între Via Cavour şi Via Massimo d' Azeglio. Are două stele şi l-am rezervat pe booking.com, motivul esenţial fiind preţul de 70 Euro/noapte pentru o cameră triplă cu mic dejun inclus, copiii sub 8 anii având gratuitate dacă dorm într-un pat existent. Se mai adugă taxa turistică pentru oraşul Roma de 2 Euro/noapte/persoană, copiii sub 10 ani nu plătesc. Pentru 4 nopţi am dat 304 Euro, o familie compusă din 2 adulţi şi 2 copii de 7 şi 14 ani. Hotelul era curat, camera austeră, având strictul necesar (televizor, baie curată, deşi micuţă, televizor, frigider, seif, un ventilator în tavan, foehn. Pentru aerul condiţionat se plătea, însă, în plus 15 euro, dar am zis că dacă e să fie low-cost atunci low-cost să fie :) şi ne-am mulţumit cu palele uriaşe ale ventilatorului atârnat în tavan! Micul dejun era comun pentru hotelurile de 2 stele din Roma: cornuri, unt, nutella, pâine, lapte, cafea, ceai, suc la dozator, cereale etc. Se făcea curat în cameră zilnic iar recepţionerii erau amabili. Zona Termini nu are o reputaţie prea bună în privinţa siguranţei dar, din acest punct de vedere, nu am avut nicio problemă, deşi ne-am întors la ore târzii la hotel. Eram informaţi de pe trip advisor despre hotel aşa că nu aveam aşteptări foarte mari, chiar a fost mai bine decât ne aşteptam. Dacă nu sunteţi foarte pretenţioşi Altavilla este o alegere bună. Pro: preţul, locaţia centrală, amabilitatea personalului, accesul rapid la mijloace de transport (metrou în Termini, autobuze în piaţa Cinquecento). Contra: aerul condiţionat contra cost, zgomot dacă ai vedere spre stradă (şi trebuia să stai cu geamul deschis din cauza căldurii).

Amplasarea la 5 min de gara Termini

Nu mi-a placut faptul ca am facut rezervarea in octombrie pt o camera de 2 pers cu mic dejun inclus si am platit pt 3 zile 180 euro si in decembrie cand am fostv era camera 130 euro ceea ce mi s-a parut sfidator.Micul dejun super saracacios si curatenia lasa de asteptat.

1. Mi-a placut foarte mult amabilitatea personalului. Am apelat la acestia in mai multe randuri cu diverse solicitari (ex: cutit de la bucatarie pentru a ne pregati sandwich-urile pentru ziua urmatoare, tirbuson, diverse intrebari despre Roma, etc.) si am fost serviti imediat. La sala de mese este un ospatar roman foarte de treaba. 2. Mi-a mai placut faptul ca in fiecare zi se facea curatenie ireprosabila in camera si se schimbau prosoapele folosite. 3. De la micul dejun cel mai mult mi-a placut cafeaua italiana la expresor: mica dar foarte tare, numai buna sa te pregateasca pentru o zi obositoare de vizitat.

1. In prima zi cand am ajuns, una dintre cele doua camere rezervate de grupul nostru nu avea schimbata lenjeria de pe pat. Cu scuzele de rigoare, ni s-a oferit o alta camera mai mare (tripla in loc de dubla) pentru o noapte, iar a doua zi, in timp ce noi eram in oras, problema a fost remediata si bagajele noastre au fost mutate in camera initiala. 2. Micul dejun consta doar in produse dulci (croisante, gogosi, paine prajita cu dulceata si unt, lapte, etc.) insa este tip bufet si destul de consistent.

It's ideal for sightseeing. I liked how close it was to Termini station, even at our first time in Rome we've arrived in 5 min. The staff was helpful

There's only 1 elevator and no stairs. (At least we couldn't find it) It gets crowdy every morning.. The food tends to run out around 9, though you can eat till 9:30. GF was somplaining to smell also coming from the bathroom.

The hotel was in a good location not far from via nazionale. The staff was exellent and helped us. Internet in the lobby

The hotelroom had no working fridge, the tv was small and too high up for us to see. It wasnt really clean, the room was very small ,which dont get fooled on the pictures. The bathrooms was 20 cm high up and the bath was tiny which made it not possible to bath my infant in. The door handle you couldnt look from the inside which made my son open up the door 20 times.and run out. Thank god for the fan otherwise it would be too hot in the room. we slept there for 1 night and found another hotel the same day as arriving for the next night. wouldnt recommend it for families with small children. but it is perfect for singles or people who are just there to sleep.

The location is excellent , walking distance from the Roma Termini, lots of good quality , not expensive, Italian restaurants around the hotel; The staff was good, could provide all information reliably. The laundry and the bedsheets was clean. Beds were comfortable. Shower was good, hot water with sufficient pressure.

The breakfast was not up to the mark. The rooms were old, some of the furniture in our room was dirty. The toilets were old, general appearance needs improvement

Good location

Hidden costs. Had to pay for air conditioning at £15 oer day but the air conditioning unit did not work. Extremely hot during the time in Rome and had no choice but to ask for it. Breakfasts were good but if only got there in the second half of the session there would be nothing left. Would not reccommend the Hotel to anyone.

Hotel Altavila is located quiet near from the Termini station and metro station, so it was very convenient for us. The hotel is small, but there are all facilities (except internet). Our room was on the third floor, but the lift in the bulding worked regularly. The room was even larger than we supposed: we had two extra beds. We also liked a high ceiling. The room was cleaned every day. The staff is very friendly, they speak good English and gave us a lot of interesting information. Breakfast was included into the price. It was served downstairs in the cafe. It was very convenient to have breakfast before going to excursions. If you want to buy some more food there is a large supermarket inTermini station. I really think that it is a nice budget hotel and recommend it to all the tourists.

Hotel staff were most helpful after I lost my wallet with cards, cash and driving license within first few hours of our stay in Rome! Flexible and helpful at all times. The location could not have been better, so near to the Metro. Advice to other travellers. Watch your belongings in crowded streets and metro especially.

Cannot think of anything. We were on 6th Floor appartment, which took a while to get to in a narrow lift, but the view and space was fine.

People from hotel were very kind and nothing was a problem. Sure, it is not so luxusary hotel but due to the price I cannot complain anything.

The location - near the termini, 10 minutes walk from the airport busses, 5 minutes from metro and central bus station. In the termini there is a supermarket (Conad), where you can buy some food. The room was ok, although the bathroom was very narrow.

The size of bathroom was a problem. Wc had a very specific construction. Breakfast could be better. Coffee is horrible, but you can get better, if you ask the attendant. A real problem, but obviously it is a problem of the whole Italian economy, was that the credit card terminal "did not work". We were expected to rush to banking machines, fetch cash, etc. Don't do it! When the receptionist saw we are not going for that, the mashine "started working"

The location of the hotel is very convenient. It's near to the city center and to the train and bus station.The price is quite ok for Rome.

It's very cold in the rooms and in the whole hotel. Sometimes there's no hot water.
