Hotel Alverì    

I liked the staff, it was clean and close to the bus station.

There isn't much near the hotel unless you want to walk 5-10 minutes.

The hotel rooms are very clean and comfortable.

The location is a bit off the beaten path. It is located in an industrial area which I would not recomend walking at night. HOwever there is a bus stop right outside the front door that takes you to the train station to anouther bus that goes into the city. A little hectic but worth the effort once you arrive in Venice

The staff were so friendly and helpful from even before I arrived, sending me bus and train time tables! They are clearly very passionate about Venice and knowledgeable !

The area is a bit run down

We loved the staff - very friendly and very helpful. The room was clean, the breakfast adequate.

We booked the hotel outside of Venice to save some money - hotel prices in Venice proper are expensive, so we thought we'd book something outside the city, not minding a short bus trip. Well, that's where the catch is: You have to wait for a bus to take you from the hotel to the Mestre train station where you need to transfer to another bus to take you to Venice. When we booked, we were given the impression that we could walk from the hotel to the train station - a "15 minute" walk - so we we booked, thinkin, What's a 15 minute walk? What they did not tell us is that the hotel is located on the OTHER side of the tracks of the Mestre station in a very industrial part of town. NO ONE walks there. So, we took the bus. That would be no issue either, if it weren't for the fact that after 8 pm, the bus from the train station to the hotel runs once an hour. We'll think very hard about doing that next time. I hate to write this negative comment, as the staff were very nice. They just sort of misled at the outset about that "15 minute walk". We won't do this sort of thing again.

We were two mature couples visiting Venice. The location of Hotel Alveri is very convenient to the bus and train station for getting to Venice. Also, the breakfast, which was included, was very nice with many items to choose from. The room was very clean and fresh.

The location, while convenient to Venice, is totally industrial and grim-looking. Can't have everything!

The staff is very profesional and gave us a lot of useful information. Hotel and room are very clean. Room is soundproof, nice, and bathroom too. I recomend room on the street side of hotel(not because noisy, all rooms are soundproof), because they have beter view.Breakfast was very tasty and plantiful, great variety of tasteful coffe.

Location. It is 1km distance to main bus and train station.But, hotel ofer us drive free of charge on this relation.The room could be a little bigger.

Receptionist was really friendly, bus stop was just in front of hotel that's a good advantage. We went there by car and they a private parking place, it was good . Rooms are very modern and clean.

Friendly staff , excellent facilities . Even catered for my special diet at breakfast. Bus stop for Venice outside the door. Nothing too much trouble.Highly recommended.

Local facilities for dining at night were sparce.

Easy to get to Venice and much better value. Team were fantastic and gave us help on travelling, sight seeing, eating and getting back to the airport

One word to describe Hotel Alveri: fabulous:-) They really treat you well here, staff is very friedly and helpful, hotel is located just 10 minutes away from Venice. I would definetly recommend this hotel.

The staff was very kind and friendly. They provided us with everything we needed. The room was very clean and comfortable. Also the deisgn was new and modern. There was 1h free wifi per day but if u needed it more it was only 1 euro per hour. in the lobby it was free. Also outside the hotel there was a bus stop and i could say it was easy access to the main bus station to take u to venice and the mestre train station (only 3 minutes). also the walking distance to get there was only 15-20min ish.

We chose the hotel because we wanted to tour Venice for a day without spending a fortune on accommodation. The location was convenient, the room clean, efficient and surprisingly quiet, the parking free, but most of all, the front desk staff were knowledgeable, pleasant and helpful. We ate at a nice restaurant and travelled to and from Venice cheaply and quickly, completely based on their recommendations. The hotel also provided free parking for the day, even though we didn't stay there the second night.

The room was very small. The neighbourhood was industrial.
