The San Carlo is in a central position in Mestre, a 5-minute walk from the bus stop providing 24-hour services with Venice.
Score from 780 reviews Very good
Hotel Guidi is in Mestre's Via Forte Marghera, and overlooks Canal Salso, the ancient waterway that connected Venice to the mainland. Venice’s center is just 10 minutes away by bus.
Score from 650 reviews Very good

good breakfast.....good service....
Local buses does not work on sundays and feasts.
I liked the cleanliness of the rooms and bathrooms, comfortable beds, the staff was very friendly and helpful when asked for assistance, the breakfast was excellent! I have upgraded my room from single to double and due to the gap between the checkout from single (at 10.30) and the check-in for the double (around 13.30) a had to leave my luggages at the reception but when came back from the town i have found all the luggages into my room, which i appreciate it!
I have stayed in the singles, which are on the track side and due to the traffic late into the night you can hear the trains passing. Also the location is quite far from the location to get the bus towards Venice but if you don't mind a walk for about 10-15 minutes than shouldn't be a big issue. Wi-Fi signal only in public areas, no wi-fi into the rooms.
helpful and attentive staff.
very small room and single bed. maintenance can be better.
internet was not good , the breakfast was not up to the expectations
Extremelly helpfull anf friendly staff - Bus stop to go to Main Venice attractions just outside the hotel, free secure parking
a bit outdated
The hotel is generally good, very clean and modern rooms. Breakfast was also good.
The location is not great. We arrived at night by train, and due to the fact that buses were no longer available (around midnight), we had to take a taxi that charged us a "minimal price" (~12 EUR) even though it was a short ride (but too long to walk and we didn't feel it was safe to walk at night). At all weekdays you can get from the hotel to Venice by one local bus in Mestre, and another from Mestre central bus station to Venice at the same ticket. In Sundays the hotel has a car service to Venice which is not cheap (I think it costs like a taxi would).
Great staff and location! Bus picks you up and drops off just outside the hotel. Staff sent an employee to a couple of stores to try to find a special liquor that my wife was looking for. Will definitely stay here anytime we're in Venice.
The staff was real helpful. The room were clean and well maintained. WE had a large bathroom. The breakfast was more than adequate and the presentation was really nice.
Real far from the city. Had to take a bus then a water taxi. Missed the gondola ride. Not these folks fault but need to be taken into consideration when trying the get to a boat ride.
Mosquito in the room was not able to sleep well. Staff of reception is no humanity.
Personnel extremelly kind. Help to reach Venecia. Hotel´s shuttle is offered when bus service does not work. 3 min away from train station (Venecia-Mestre)
Quite apart from restaurants.
Nice room, nice staff, very good and fast transfer for 1 Euro to the Mestre trainstation. Free and closed parking lot. Breakfast good.
Wifi is the weekest point, slow and inadequate for working.
Good price for the value - comfortable rooms, nice staff Pleasant breakfast Close to Venice
No direct bus line to Venice, you have to change after 2 stops - but not a big problem
staff was very helpfull
the breakfast .
location is so bad and at night its difficult to reach by public transportation . the wifi is difficult to installed and you need to ask for access name and password many times a day . there is no any travel program available on the hotel
Convenient to those who go by car and dont mind spending around 1.5 hour commuting from hotel to St Mark Place (bus+train+vaporetto)
Very poor WiFi
I made reservation over booking.com They contacted me many many times about they couldn't take provision from Credit card .I gave some other card and they couldn't get too.Becasue of I was on trip it was very card to solve their problem. Even i called them and confirm my arrival time they threated me to cancel reservation . It was very rough behave.I stayed many countries many hotels first time met this kind of management. It was also so small breakfast .I tried to open air conditioner but i couldnt than i saw that they closed fuse ! . Making economy with it .
Really handy location for Venice. Buses were frequent. Staff were very nice and helpful.
Rooms had good design and bath room are spotless. Breakfeast had more varities for customer's slection
Hotel will charge for the hot water and would be nice have the keetle in the hotel rooms.
The staff, the location, the price and nice breakfast. It is very accessible with short bus ride to Venice and train station. The staff is very knowledgeable with train issues which was very very helpful.
Interior decor, styling of the rooms, free and secure parking, free wireless internet access, breakfast included, wonderful helpful staff to assist in getting you into Venice
Location is a bit industrial but it was easy to get a bus into Venice and the alternative of staying in Venice is only for the very young of bodies, backs and feet!
- don't use hotel shuttle to venice hotel staff didn't keep appointed time. so we waited so long time in windy but they ask to me total charge. and did not even give a word of apology about what happened.
The hotel was very nice, with helpful staff, convenient location to bus and train station and great breakfast.
There was nothing I didn't like about this hotel. Other reviewers have mentioned that this hotel is right beside the train line, but the hotel is well-insulated and we never heard a thing. We slept just fine.
Very clean. Very helpful staff. Bus to Venice literally just outside the door. Great breakfast. Great price for so close to Venice! Modern rooms with nice amenities. Very comfortable beds and very quiet rooms even though the train station is so close. I was very impressed.
Very close to venice
